You'll enjoy high quality furnishings and beddings throughout. All bedrooms offer new flat screen tv's. The living room features a home theater system with a 65" flat screen tv and the master Bedroom Suite has a 55"' LCD flat screen tv. The office has high speed internet, computer, wireless network, printer fax, scanner and 26' monitor. Beautiful upscale design from furnishings to artwork. We have found that if we furnish and detail our home with the best of everything, our guests appreciate what is there and treat it as their own. No detail has been over looked. Relax in the gorgeous heated endless pool or enjoy the hot tub with waterfall all surrounded by lush tropical landscapes which include orange trees, avocado trees, lemon trees, lime trees, banana tree, coconut palms, royal palms, Christmas palms, and a variety of other tropical plants and bushes. This large "point" or "tip" lot affords unusual privacy. The pool is open concept with no screen cover to block the sun and views. We've had NO complaints of mosquitoes or black flies due to the openness of the water surrounding the property. Enjoy the the sun and the beauty of the storm. The pool deck has sun nearly all day long and offers gorgeous sunsets! The large lanai can be open to the pool off the living areas or closed off with the click of a button which closes a large electronic screening system.
The home is a 5 minute drive from a couple of Marco Island's finest beaches, hardware stores, food stores,shopping and restaurants.
There’s plenty to do: Rent a boat by the half day or full day at the marina which is 5 minutes from the house. Pack a lunch and explore islands like Keewaydin Island. Within a half hour’s drive you can be in the Everglades where alligator/boat tours can be found. Everglades City is an old fishing Village that is a must see. Take a half day trip and have lunch there, exploring the everglades park on the return trip. Power sailing is available along the beach just a mile from the house, including jet ski rentals. There is a theater within a mile from the house where you can enjoy dinner and a movie. Mackel Park is within a couple of minutes walk from the house. The library and Marco historical museum are also within a few minutes walk from the house. Enjoy biking or walking around the lake at the park. There are three bikes at the home for guest use, along with beach towels and beach chairs, beach chair caddy and beach umbrella. (4 chaise lounge chairs plus 4 additional conventional chairs and table on the pool deck)
Bikes include one mens, one lady's and a 16" kids bike. The 16" bike has easy "snap-on / snap- off" training wheels if needed. Additional bikes can be rented by the week or day on the island. There are several fishing rods in the garage as well.
We had advertised with Homeaway until they started to charge guests booking fees. We had a solid 5 star rating with them. We expect that to continue with this new site as well. See photo section for a snapshot of our former Homeaway dashboard.It shows two homes. We owned both but recently sold 1268 Balboa. This home is 1248 Balboa. Note our five star ratings.
You will find our home to be extremely competitively priced. When comparing homes be sure to keep in mind not only the home but the location of the property and the lot itself. Our lot is a choice "tip" lot providing a great sense of privacy with sweeping views. Most waterfront lots on Marco Island have 80 to 100 feet of waterfront. This lot has nearly three times the water frontage of the average Marco waterfront lot. Many of our guests are repeat guests. There are NO security cameras on our property, either inside or outside of our home. Your business is not our business.
We have a minimum stay of 7 nights. We try to keep check in/check out on Saturdays but will consider stays outside of these parameters. If filling voids in the calendar shorter stays will be considered. Please inquire.

Why Kids Love It

Located at the end of a very quiet dead end street you'll not be bothered by traffic found the main roads (Heathwood, San Marco, Barfield, Collier). The exposure of this property will assure sun on the pool deck from morning until sunset. Close enough to the open waters of the gulf that dolphin sitings are common.

About the owner: We live in New Hampshire and have owned a home on Marco since 2001. We had first been to Marco back in the mid 80's. We own a vacation rental company on Lake Winnipesaukee in central NH.
Why this property? This is our second home on Marco. We sold our original home in 2009 when we found this property. It's location was perfect. Central on the island and close to everything yet is located on a very quiet dead end street. Quick out to the open Gulf and a couple of minute walk from a great park. (Mackle Park).

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home May 2016.. The pictures don't depict how beautiful this home is.. The view was amazing, the pool is phenomenal, and all the amenities are perfect. we stayed for eight days, we rented bicycles, we fished, we went to the beach and just had an amazing time. We love Marco Island and have visited before but stayed in another home. This home was way beyond our expectations. It was class from top to bottom and had everything you could ever hope for. The pool was probably our favourite thing but the kitchen was a close second. We loved being able to look out the back and see the gorgeous sunset every night. It is the perfect location. I can't say enough good things about this home and we will absolutely be staying there again on our next visit!
My family stayed in this property from 10/02/15 to 10/10/15. Everything was PERFECT! The home was well stocked with every need. The pool and hot tub were amazing. We spent several hours just hanging out in the pool to cool off. We were close to pretty much everything. We spent a few afternoons in Naples which was also a short drive. We had a pipe in the front yard that was leaking and we called the rental agency and they had a plumber there within 20 minutes and everything was fixed within just a few minutes. (apparently its something very common on the island according to the plumber) We can't wait to get back to Marco Island and I can only hope this property will be available to rent again. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxury rental!
Your home is so comfortable, you have anticipated and met every need for a wonderful vacation week. We were totally exhausted from the horrible Boston winter and were craving the opportunity to bask in the sun. We spent days lying by the pool, a few walks on the beach, suppers cooked on the patio with one night dining out. We had my one year old grandson with us so the ability to provide some shade for him was fantastic. Took a bike for a spin, floated in the pool with a book enjoying your wonderful sound system. My only problem was I didn't want to leave. Have already submitted my request for next April ! Liked being there in April because the feedback I got from the natives in the grocery store is that "all the snow birds have gone home by then so it's much less crowded." What a gem this property is.....we almost don't want to let the news escape that that this property is everything as described and more. We've rented other homes throughout FL and this one topped/exceeded our expectations without a doubt. We will definitely be back! Obviously, the pool is a fantastic feature. We were in it as often as possible! The layout of the house is ideal; lots of space with very comfortable furnishings. We immediately felt right at home. The glass sliders in the living room/kitchen area are beautiful. There's nothing like sitting inside & watching thunderstorms late at night (& dolphins in the morning!) or enjoying the sun w/o being out in the heat. The kitchen is a gourmet cook's dream. Loved the expansive countertops; lots of room to spread out! We used the BBQ practically every night. Honestly, we can't think of 1 thing we wished we had and didn't. Jim & Ann really nailed it with everything they provide (beach towels, bikes, swim noodles, beach chairs, cookware, books, etc. -- even a workout area!). For those with kids, we HIGHLY recommend the Community Center & library 2 blocks away. What great city resources!! We walked there practically every day (right past the sweet owls and their protected habitats). Working with the property management company was pleasant and easy. Really, we can't express how wonderful our experience was on the Island. It was a really wonderful vacation!!! Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful home!
This is a beautiful property in a wonderful west facing waterfront location. The property has been equipped to the fullest and highest standard by the owners and offers every conceivable amenity. The location is quiet yet handy for all amenities, including the beaches, shops and the nearby excellent park. The swimming pool is stunning, as are the evening sunsets over the pool and canals beyond. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return ourselves at some future point.
We spent a week here with our family at the beginning of June 2014. The house was a perfect fit for us and our two adult daughters (+ 1 boyfriend). Pool time was wonderful with the outdoor stereo system. Well equipped kitchen with wonderful patio grill kept us fed most of the week. Great places on the island to dine and enjoy drinks as well. Nearby MacklePark is a nice place to walk around the .6 mile paved path. Nicely decorated place makes for an enjoyable week in South Florida.

Two. If more are needed there is a bike shop on the island that rents by the day or week.
My husband and I enjoyed everything about this property. We've done several home rentals and this one is very memorable. We had another couple join us for a few days and they were very comfortable upstairs. The pool, which is amazing, was enjoyed at every moment possible. We appreciated it not being in a cage which gave us the best opportunity to enjoy the unique parcel of land it is located on. The kitchen was equipped with cooking utensils to accommodate our cooking and grilling needs. We purchased spices, olive oil and loved the Wednesday farmers market as well paradise fish market. The owner was very flexible on our dates and pleasant to work with. The real estate company handling checking in and out also made this a great experience. We cannot wait to return to Marco Island and hope to be lucky enough to spend time in this home again.

We had a pool cage which blew away during a storm in 2005. We nearly installed a new "cage" and decided not to at the last minute. We stayed in this house over the 4th of July. Before booking it we were worried about the possibility of bugs being a problem because there is no screen over the pool. The rental rep suggested we reach out directly to the owner to see if that's an issue. We did, and he was very responsive and helpful. He assured us that bugs are not a problem and he was absolutely right. We never had an issue and it was much better to be truly outside by the pool than surrounded by screens. There is still a screened in lanai next to the pool for after dark when bugs would come out anywhere in Florida. The house was immaculate, fully stocked with all the essentials, and is in a great location. We're already planning to return.
