Sterling Shores has an amazing location across from a local favorite restaurant, Back Porch. It is a gated community on nine lushly landscaped acres and has almost 300 feet of private beach access. There are two pools, and one is gulf front and is heated seasonally. The other pool is fabulous for children, and our grandchildren just love it! There is a mushroom fountain and a zero entry feature that lets them be as deep in the water as they like--or just a few inches. Perfect for when they were younger! As with most things, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION is the biggest benefit to Sterling Shores. It is close enough to restaurants to walk, and a few feet from the beach. We are local owners who want to save you money!! Sterling Shores is a 'stay and play' vacation destination. Walk to the Back Porch Restaurant, and Candy Man's for breakfast. Very near recreation destinations of Henderson Beach State Park, Destin's MORGAN SPORTS CENTER, Big Kahuna's and The Track. Great grocery stores and markets with WalMart within one mile and The Fresh Market and Whole Foods (next to Bass Pro) , are wonderful 'foodie' experiences close by as well. As we reflect on our small beach town and why we chose to live here in 1996, I realize how much our community has to offer. I think you can find almost all the things on your vacation wish list in our area. The beautiful emerald water and the sugar white sands on our beaches is the obvious first choice of things to do here, but we also have the largest designer outlet mall in the country and fantastic gourmet and family dining. There is a zoo in Gulf Breeze and a wolf preserve in Chipley as well as the E. O. Wilson Biophilia Center in Freeport. We have a water park, miniature golf, movie theaters, bowling and any kind of water sport you can think of. We have award winning state parks with outstanding hiking and beaches and even hiking TO beaches. Chautauqua Winery is in nearby Defuniak Springs. There are no booking fees or management fees. Your Total Cost is rent and $125 departure cleaning, plus the 13% Florida State and Okaloosa County taxes and a $50 Sterling Shores Condominium Association-mandated resort fee only.
Reservation deposit is by personal check, $1000, paid to Diane Fiore, and mailed to us at 386 Terrapin Trace, Destin, FL 32541. The remaining balance is paid to us after arrival by check or cash. We will email deposit receipt, and email arrival details ahead of your arrival in Destin. Your deposit is NONREFUNDABLE if reservation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival date and we cannot re-book. Please be sure that your plans are not going to possibly change before making your reservation.

I've stayed at several condos in Sterling Shores, this is my new favorite. Bob and Diane are excellent hosts, wonderful communication, made us feel like we were family coming to visit! The condo has everything you need and we love walking over to eat at The Back Porch and being steps away from the pools and beach. My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a well equipped comfortable one bedroom condo at the beach. I'll certainly book it again!

We have been visiting Destin for many years. We started staying at Sterling Shores with our Family when our granddaughter was only 2 years old and she will turn 22 in November. We have stayed at other places but continue to return to Sterling Shores. We are so fortunate to have found Robert and Diane. This was our second time to have had the opportunity to stay in their condo. You could not ask for more accommodating people as these two individuals are. They go way above and beyond in taking care of their guest. If you are looking for a stress free, relaxing vacation, this is the place and they are the people to make sure this is exactly what you get. We have actually already started planning our next visit!

Lon S.Fantastic Stay Despite Poor Weather
We rented the Condo at Sterling Shores and were not disappointed, in fact we loved it. The condo was clean, we had a great pool just below our patio, and the access to the Gulf was easy. Bob and Diane Fiore were great hosts providing us with valuable local tips. They also rented two beach chairs and an umbrella for their guest to use at the beach. One of our favorite restaurants, The Back Porch, was within easy walking distance. The location was superb and the only drawback was the week of rainy weather. We would highly recommend this condo and would stay there again.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Destin at Bob and Diane’s Sterling Shores condo 312. The Grounds and the view were amazing. Short 2/3 minute walk to the ocean side pool and beach. Great to have the Back Porch restaurant right next to the pool. Condo was equipped with everything that you need. The King size bed was very comfortable. Bob and Diane were easy to work with. We would highly recommend and will definitely book again.

This is a beautiful, secure safe, place to stay. The owners are a very nice couple who live nearby for extra help, if needed. This beautiful place is located straight across Restaurant Row, by the Back Porch Restaurant. You can see the ocean from your kitchen and living room windows. You are 5 minutes from a Walmart, Chikfala and a Longhorn Restaurant at 10 minutes by car. There are two gated pools, lovely landscape, a gated entrance to the beach, as well as a gated parking area. We stay here every spring. We love it

This condo is beautiful outside, the scenery is very inviting. It is located in a perfect location, right behind the beach. It is just across the street from the famous Back Porch Restaurant with great fresh seafood. There is a Walmart located just 5 minutes down highway 98.Inside you have a spacious living room and kitchen, with cable television. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, stove, microwave and coffee maker. You have a nice large bathroom, with a tub and shower. Then there is a nice bedroom with a king size bed, dressers, closets with hangers and a ceiling fan for added comfort.Your car is secure in a code security fence, and a coded entry to the two beautiful pools. Your are close to many fine restaurants down highway 98.My husband and I have been staying here every year for seven years, since we got married and we love it!The owners live close by in case you need them, and they are very kind and helpful!We recommend this beautiful, quiet place. It is very special, with a balcony and furniture to enjoy the scenery, plus outdoor grills on sight.

I've always preferred dealing with owners, rather than a rental agency, and Bob and Diane were very pleasant to work with. When we arrived, we found the condo very clean and comfortable. The beach is just a few steps away, and there are two pools to choose from. There are great restaurants, go cart tracks, putt putt golf, and shopping close by. We enjoyed checking out Harborwalk Village, and took a sunrise dolphin cruise on one of the Sea Blasters that was alot of fun. We had a wonderful time in Destin!!

This was our 2nd year staying at Bob and Diane’s beautiful beachfront condo! Once again we were welcomed with a treat, delicious Key Lime Pie!!! The views are so beautiful of the pools and ocean. My children absolutely LOVE the zero entry kiddie pool with the fountain. The ocean is a short walk away! Out favorite restaurant, The Backporch is also a short walk from the condo. We look forward to our yearly stay here. VERY clean, they are so meticulous with how nice they keep their condo! Very friendly and great hospitality can’t say enough good things about Bob and Diane, their condo, and Destin! All in all, absolutely spectacular!

Diane and Bob were wonderful host! This was our first time to Florida and I can say Sterling Shores did not disappoint!!! Condo was very cozy, clean and was perfect for our family of 4. Loved all of the amenities inside the condo and on the condo complex. We felt like we were in a resort… beautiful pools, easy access to private beach with options to purchase chairs and umbrella, restaurant near by. Wow, our first trip to Destin, FL and Sterling Shores #312, what an awesome experience from beginning to end, Diane and Bob Fiore made things so easy from the time we inquired about staying at their condo to actually making the reservation. What a beautiful place, 50 yard dash to the ocean and the sound of ocean waves while eating on the condo deck. Beautiful views and a book with all the local best spots and key lime pie in the refrigerator. We enjoyed a hike at Henderson Beach and a beautiful patio dinner at Harbor Docks. We will be back snd we are so happy to have such wonderful 40th anniversary memories, can’t wait to come back.

Just returned home from a week Stay in Sherling Shore's 312 unit. From the moment We walked in the door , We were in Love with the View from the Condo ! Just what I dreamed of! Paradise! Gorgeous Palms, Pool and Ocean view of the Emerald Sea! The place was immaculate and oder free!! Just like We love it! Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The mattress on the King bed was dreamy! Like sleeping on a Cloud! The kitchen had everything We needed. Bob and Diane were the Perfect Host and Quickly responded to any questions We had . We were delighted with the Delicious Surprise left in Our Fridge of Key Lime Pie!! We loved being Spoiled!! Just can't say enough about what a delightful experience it was to stay there ! On Checkout Day we awoke to Tornado Warning's!! We had packed the car the night before. We had hoped to leave early. The Weather Channel showed the Storm system was traveling Our Whole route home. I messaged Bob and let Him know we were waiting for a break in weather to leave and the storm system was following our Route home. He responded swiftly and urged Us to stay the night as They had nobody booked for the night. He didn't want Us to take a chance and be in harm's way. We were so touched by such Generous Kindness!!! How relieved We were to be able to stay and not risk the drive home. We can't Thank Bob and Diane enough for blessing Us like this. If I could give more than 5 Stars I would!!! Loved Our stay there!!

Very nice and clean condo in Destin. The condo has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the Sunshine State. King size bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed beautiful Gulf views from the balcony and easy five minute walk to the beach. Bob and Diane were very attentive and thoughtful. They even had a small Christmas tree waiting for us along with a special dessert for us to enjoy! We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again!

This charming condo was perfect in every way for our family of 4 (we have 2 kids: a toddler and a baby). Really appreciated Diane and Bob for making the check-in process seamless. The condo's very clean and cozy, well organized, with a king-size bedroom, great kitchen, large dining room. And what a great ocean view from the balcony!Sterling Shores is in the perfect location, steps away from the beach (with private access to the beach), , has a lot of great amenities like 2 nice pools, outdoor grills, etc, great food restaurants, right across the street. Let me just start with saying how pleasant Diane was when we first spoke. She is an absolute sweetheart. Took my children who are 2 and 4 on vacation to Destin and couldn’t have stayed at a nicer place. Bob greeted us at the condo when we arrived had some juice and bread for us. The condo was gorgeous, so clean! The view was magnificent. Overlooked the kiddie pool and could see and hear the ocean. We walked to the back porch restaurant a few times omgoodness the food was ahhhmazing!!!! So we’re the key lime freezes! I was worried at 1st about how long of a walk to the beach but the kids and I walked to the beach at least 3 times a day. The pool was everything being zero entry. My children LOVED it! Our stay in Destin, Florida at Diane and Bob’s condo at Sterling Shores Condominium, 1751 Scenic Hwy 98, unit 312, has been wonderful. From the moment we first emailed them, to the moment we arrived, we felt very comfortable. This was our first experience at booking online. Diane and Bob are always available if we have any questions, and answer all our inquiries in a speedy manner. Once we arrived at the condo it was exactly as portrayed in the pictures that were posted. It is spacious, very clean and bright. The condo is fully equipped. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. One of the two pools is close to the beach, is heated to near hot tub temperature, so be assured that you will appreciate your time outdoors to the sound of the waves.As extra touches, Diane and Bob had fresh orange juice and a delicious key lime pie waiting for us in the fridge. They put fresh cut flowers that came from their garden in a vase on the table. They also created and provided us with a things to see, do, and places to eat guide. We actually find the information to be very useful.If you are looking for a great place to stay, look no further and contact Diane and Bob!

We spent three weeks in December of 2018 at the Sterling Shores condominium. Diane and Bob were wonderful. They went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. We were able to walk to a wonderful seafood restaurant just across the street for several of our dinners. Great seafood everywhere. Much to see in Destin and Seaside. We enjoyed several sunsets on the beach with a glass of good wine. Our stay was wonderful. We would recommend the Sterling Shores for a great experience.
