About the owner: I am a retired Programmer , graduated Chemical Engineering from the University of Santo tomas , Manila and Computer Science from Coleman University , San Diego.
I worked for Food Lion , Waste Management and Acxiom Corporation . My husband Gordon is a retired navy Pilot and also retired from American Airlines. We live in Erie Pa and vacation in Florida in the winter so this house gets a lot of attention and well maintained.
Why this property? In 2006 , the potential for an investment property in Florida was very promising. Disney had already done his research and leg work. I just trusted his vision and here I am , I have a winter getaway home in my golden years and still able to share it with families with children who never grow old. Disney is for all ages. It was not easy and through the years , the ups and downs were enormous. I braved the roller coaster ride in the economy and my perseverance pays off. I love sharing this house to my guests and hope to bring pleasure to their vacation while with their young ones , children or grandchildren alike.

Guestbook comments from the owner:
The house was clean and it is a gated subdivision. There was great communication with the owner who was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. It was an enjoyable stay.
For our first VRBO experience it was a good one. A couple of minor quibbles; the WiFi is not secure and I would have liked that. And for one day a storm seemed to knock the internet offline - not the owners fault at all. And one night, the house next to us had a loud party until 1am - it sounded like they were inside our bedroom. Again, not the owners fault and that was only one night. The location is pretty good - there’s a Target close by and lots of chain restaurants. But it is a bit of a drive to the Orlando parks, but it seems like the norm. Overall a nice alternative to small, expensive hotel rooms. If you’re going to do Disney or Universal for multiple days then staying on location does have its advantages. Overall it was a very nice experience.
This was our family's first time renting a home for a vacation and at first we were very hesitant, due to the fact of the unknowns when it comes to staying in someone's home for a week. But Lida made the experience great from when arranging all the details down to being in her home while enjoying our vacation. Yes there were a few hiccups, but when Lida was notified of the situation she made it right got the items addressed in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend to anyone with a big family like us to skip the chain hotels and skip the outrageous cost of staying on site at Disney to rent this home, it is worth every single penny. From having the luxury to make your own meal with the full kitchen to being able to do laundry before making the trip back home. The best part of the home was the pool, my wife and I were able to relax and enjoy an evening swim while the children were fast asleep, and this is something that can’t be done when staying at a chain hotel or at the Disney Resort. Our next trip we will be contacting Lida again to stay in her home while we are on vacation, thank you Lida for being such a great host!
This is a nice house to stay at. Good location if seeing all the parks. Quiet neighborhood. The owner was easily contacted and answered questions readily. Nice pool. Could use a few start up items, like paper towels, dish soap and laundry supplies as it was necessary to do wash for the cleaning person before you leave.. There was quite a lot of rules with this property, although I understand the reasoning for some of it. I rated it only four stars as it could be cleaned a bit more. It is not so bad that I wouldn't recommend it though just dust bunnies under sofa and lots of hand prints on doors. Price was fair for the area. So in all I would say stay at this rental. I don't think you would be disappointed with Lida or her property.
Lida has a wonderful home in a quiet resort area. Very clean with comfortable furniture and plenty of room to relax. Our family really enjoyed our stay and appreciated having a quiet place to go to at the end of our busy days at Disney & Universal. The drive to Disney was about 15 min from the house to the parking lots. We all enjoyed the pool & spa area every night. The spa was wonderful for soaking your feet after walking 8 to 9 miles at the theme parks! We definitely would stay again if we get back to that area in Florida.
