Wonderful Week

After suffering a family loss it was wonderful to escape to the cape for the week!!! Wendy was awesome & our condo had everything that we needed and more!!! Every little detail was covered & more!!!! Fantastic stay!

This is our third stay on Cape San Blas and definitely our best. The rental process was easy from start to finish and Wendy was exceptionally prompt in responding to questions leading up to our visit. The condo itself was very comfortable (the beds are wonderful), with awesome little touches such as paper and soap products, well- stocked kitchen, beach chairs and toys, and a filled spice rack that includes any spice you would need for a great meal. The condo was spotless and perfectly located. The pool and ocean are just steps away, and there are great views of both from one of the bedrooms. We plan on returning and will definitely book Sea breeze again!

Sea Breeze

Convenient to Beach and pool.

Extremely well stocked condo. Everything you could possibly need in kitchen. Cleanliness was exceptional. They don't exaggerate when they say it's close to the beach ( 30 second walk ) and pool is almost as close.

Relaxing Retreat Steps from the Gulf

This is the second time we've stayed at Sea Breeze. It's very close to the beach with amazing views. We enjoyed riding bikes and going for a run on the path on the Cape as well as morning strolls on the beach and beautiful sunsets. We visited the trading post and seafood market a few times and found everything we needed to cook great meals. Our aussie loved joining us for the trip as well - we really enjoy Barrier Dunes and cannot wait to come back!

BEST BEACH THERAPY EVER!

We booked this condo on short notice. First time at The Cape. Wendy was so amazing in helping us with things to do and places to go. She provides an entire book (very well organized) in the condo with names, places, numbers, etc. We loved the condo. It was exactly what we needed. Great views and location. We just walked across the street and were on the beach in under a minute. The beaches were beautiful, clean, uncrowded. We rented horses for the sunset ride, hiked to the Donna Kay and picked up shells, walked the 9 miles of private beach at the state park, shopped in Port St. Joe and Apalachicola, had dinner and cocktails at the Blue Parrot on St. George Island, had oysters and shrimp at Indian Pass Raw Bar, and met the most wonderful people from all over who we watched the sun set over the gulf with. The condo is well stocked with everything you need, clean, comfortable, roomy and in a great location the north end of the cape and close to the state park. Would we stay again????? Absolutely. Loved every second of it.

Little Piece of Paradise!

This is the third year that we stayed in Sea Breeze at Barrier Dunes, and we have never been disappointed. The short access to the gorgeous beach is a real bonus too! There are two wonderful swimming pools available as well. Sea Breeze is well equipped for guests and we're always quite comfortable there. The kitchen is well stocked and there's also an outside closet full of beach items....chairs, beach cart, beach toys, etc. Barrier Dunes is an excellent place to stay with dogs, also, and during our many walks each day we enjoy chatting with other residents there and meeting their furry friends. It's a nice, quiet area which just increases the relaxation factor ten-fold. We would highly recommend both Sea Breeze and the Barrier Dunes area!

Excellent Choice...

This was our first trip to Cape San Blas. We stayed for the entire month of January.We found our condo via internet research. The customer reviews represented critical information for us. The reviews of the condominiums that Wendy manages, and of Wendy herself, are excellent. That inspired tremendous confidence and helped us make the right decision. The condo is excellent and Wendy is amazingly responsive to any/all questions/concerns. One example of this is our microwave oven went out on us one day, but Wendy had a brand new one purchased, delivered and installed in less than 24 hours. Her response to this unexpected problem was as good as it gets.We had a wonderful stay at the condo, which made for a wonderful trip to Cape San Blas.Footnote: The Barrier Dunes condominium complex is a great choice if you are social and even more so if you have a dog. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly, engaging and helpful. You will meet so many good people walking their dogs(s) in the complex and on the beach. If you enjoy making new friends, this is the place for you...

Great vacation sweet.

Great! Great! Great! Clean, well furnished, all appliances you could need, (pots, pans, toaster, coffee pot, wooden spoon, spatulas etc.), towels, bedding, you name it they have it. Even beach chairs and sand toys. I love this place. A+

Our escape is the cape!

Our stay at Sea Breeze 52 was simply the best! We literally booked 3 days before our arrival. Wendy was great to work with. She was efficient in her response and had everything organized for us. Our condo was very clean, fully stocked, and close to the beach. I would definitely rent from Wendy again with NO hesitation. Another Wonderful Stay at Barrier Dunes

We just got home from our third stay at Barrier Dunes, renting through Cape Escape. It was a wonderful stay as always. We have rented the same unit (Sea Breeze) every time because its our home away from home and because of its proximity to everything on property. It's always clean, it's nicely decorated, it's pet friendly, and it's so easy to work with Wendy and with Cape Escape. We look forward to coming back again next year and we highly recommend them (but we don't want the word to get out about how awesome the Cape is!

Lovely comfortable place on the beach.

Well stocked towels ,linens ,kitchen has all one needs to prepare meals. Lots of entertainment for kids with tv programs. Owner has provided chairs ,umbrellas ,sand buckets .The only thing we had to bring was a tent. Kids love to feed the turtles .Will definitely chose this property.

Amazing Place!

We just came back from a week in Sea Breeze. What a wonderful time we had there!The house is cozy, fully equipped, and beach is a few steps away. Secluded, perfect for this pandemic moment we are living.We had lots of useful information before the trip and even during our stay, we had easy and quick access to Wendy.I totally recommend this rental if you are looking for a stress-free vacation!

Nice Vacation

My husband and I really enjoyed this townhouse. It was perfect for us and our dogs. It had everything we needed including a nice selection of spices for cooking. It was nice to not have to pack beach chairs as they were provided. The neighborhood is so dog friendly. The townhome was just steps away from the beautiful beach and beachfront pool. It was also nice to sit out on the back deck and listen to the fountain in the pond and watch the turtles. Overall it was clean and exactly as described. Thank you for a relaxing place to unwind. Next time we hope to stay for a couple weeks.

Beautiful place and great access to a beautiful beach.

Barrier Dunes is a great complex located on a beautiful beach. Wendy was wonderful to work with, checking in several times to make sure our stay was going well. If you are looking for a little quieter beach than other Panhandle beaches, this is the place. Very pet friendly. Very nice pools and Sea Breeze is a very short walk to the sand. Hope to return some day.

Great place to relax and enjoy a special part of Florida

Barrier Dunes is a great place to stay in a special part of Florida. The condos are a home away from home: a place where you can concentrate on exploring the beach and so many nearby areas that are unique to this part of Florida.The condo is always clean and everything is provided for a great vacation.Each year we visit, the features and amenities are enhanced. This year a massive tv was installed over the fireplace. You may not spend a lot of time inside but if you need to for a while, then you will appreciate that new addition to the condo.Wendy and her staff ensure that everything will be perfect for your stay at Barrier Dunes.

Lovely accomodations

We just got back from spending 12 nights at Sea Breeze at Cape San Blas. The accomodations were lovely. Nicely decorated and it was stocked with almost everything you could need. Fully equipped kitchen, good information about the area, games, puzzles, books and movies. We enjoyed the accomodations very much. Comfortable bed. Barrier Dunes is a very friendly place. All the people we met were nice and come back regularly. Very dog friendly. Laid back atmosphere. The beach is wide with white sand. We enjoyed walking our dog on the beach and watching people fish. The 2 pools are lovely but are not heated. The water was way too cold to swim in the pools. That was disappointing. We were there during a cold snap and we knew that could happen. We would like to come back again.

Sea Breeze 52 at Barrier Dunes

My family has enjoyed the Barrier Dunes for the past couple of years. We have chosen to stay in the same condo because it is exactly what was promised. The beach is wonderful and we loved bringing the dogs with us to the beach. The community is great and everyone is friendly. I highly recommend spending your vacation on the Cape and staying at one of the Barrier Dunes condos. You will not be sorry.

Perfection - if you're wondering where to book, choose this!!

The condo far exceeded our expectations in location, space, comfort, cleanliness, amenities and more! This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and I spent a good amount of time researching places to rent - I cannot recommend Wendy's property enough!! My husband and I are in our mid 30's and brought our 2 year old labradoodle for her first visit to the ocean - it was a 9 hour trip from Nashville, and as we rounded the bend to the Cape and saw the houses and water - we were immediately hooked. The directions to the condo were easy to follow, the keypad made entrance easy, and we were surprised at how spacious it was! Here are a few highlights: - You can't be much closer to the beach than if you were right on top of the waves. Just steps from the door and you're at the pool or on the sand. - The beach itself is PERFECT - you're at the northern part of the cape and each day we walked a little to the left and had the entire space to ourselves - day and night. The views, the sand, the water, the sunsets are just perfect. - I visited the pool just once in the late afternoon to read and it's beautiful and comfortable overlooking the ocean. - We were able to find "tradin post" market for beer, wine, and a last-minute pizza for dinner one night. We also bought food there to cook, and went to Cone Heads for drinks and food several times - it's right across the street from the condo area! - One day we went to the state park just to the left of the condo entrance and rented a canoe to roam around the crystal clear waters. Another day we drove to the tip of the cape and hiked to the abandoned shrimp boat, where we watched a fisherman bring in a shark and release it - *warning that there were CRAZY amounts of flies that I may never forget, but that sounds typical in Sept/Oct in that area - it's where the tree stumps are and about a mile hike in. The entire trip was spent relaxing - we swam, caught 10+ crabs with the nets, explored the Cape and started planning our next trip. The deck on the condo is perfect for pre-sunset dinner - and the star-watching and sunsets on the beach are incredible! Bring plenty of sunscreen, a beach blanket or two, a beach umbrella and you're set!

GREAT PLACE TO GET AWAY!

We weren’t sure how the Cape faired after the hurricane last year. I can tell you, they have done an amazing job on the entire cape.The beach is just beautiful! We were lucky in that the weather was a couple of degrees cooler for us. The water is so clear we could watch the little fish and crabs swim around. My Labrador tried his hardest to catch them. So did the 11 year old boy we brought with us.Everyone on the beach is so friendly. A couple of men actually played frisbee with my dog. That was a first for us! I didn’t know he could catch a frisbees from the air!We stayed so close to the beach we could hear the waves rolling in at night. Maybe next year we can stay a little longer.

Wonderful getaway

Lovely 2 week stay at Sea Breeze

Our stay at Sea Breeze was wonderful. It is a very clean unit with cheery beach decor. Comfortable furnishings and a well stocked kitchen made our stay feel like home. We enjoyed using the outdoor grill and loved using the poker set and glancing through the guest books. Wendy was very easy to work with. She responded quickly to phone calls, emails and texts as we were planning our trip, during our stay and even after we got home. Highly recommend this unit and Wendy.

Absolutely wonderful place to visit!

if you love the beach, and hate crowds, dislike high rise condos, this is the place for you and your family! Very family oriented and everywhere on the Cape dogs are welcome. At Barrier Dunes they go out of their way to make sure you have all you need for yourself and your dogs. We absolutely recommend this place for your beach vacation.

A quick getaway to paradise

Awesome beach vacation

Just got back home from a great Cape San Blas beach vacation. Stayed at Sea Breeze at Barrier Dunes. Great place which was immaculate and contained everything we needed such as cooking supplies and utensils. The condo was only steps to the beach which was beautiful even though it took a real pounding from the hurricane . Our Yorkie totally loved the beach and had loads of fun chasing sea foam and dried sea weed. My wife fell in love with a lab puppy who couldn’t chase her for falling all over himself. Great place to visit and vacation!!!

Beautiful, well appointed, spacious place to stay and convenient to the beach!

Cape San Blas remains a fantastic choice for a relaxing, nature oriented beach vacation and the townhouse Sea Breeze in Barrier Dunes is a very good choice for accommodations! Sea Breeze is quite close to the beach and the Barrier Dunes pool, access to both was truly convenient. Sea Breeze is so clean and spacious, and decorated with fun, casual beach furnishings. The kitchen is very well stocked, with lots of spices, and cleaning supplies and high quality dishes. The beds were quite comfortable and the linens were in perfect condition. We appreciated the high quality beach chairs. Barrier Dunes is still undergoing just a few post hurricane renovations, but the neighborhood is mostly in very good shape and the construction was not intrusive on our experience at all. Wendy Jackson communicated everything we needed to know about the unit and she was so very friendly and responsive! We hope to rent from her again.Hurricane Michael has changed the shape of the state park and killed some of the trees on the cape, but it is still a beautiful place and it is easy to find fun. Taking long walks with our little terrier, floating in the pool and roasting marshmallows over a fire on the beach were some of the good times my sons and I enjoyed at Barrier Dunes. We managed to see manatee (a rare occurrence), sea turtles, rays and small reef sharks while kayaking on the bay. Our kayaks were rented through Happy Ours Kayak; the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. Check out Peachy’s Beach Eats for surprisingly good and healthy food in a simple, ultra casual environment. Coneheads still has ice cream and Weber’s makes some of the best donuts we have ever eaten! Piggly Wiggly in Port St. Joe is the best place for groceries. We also found Provisions in Port St. Joe to provide really good food in a pleasant traditional atmosphere. Vacation with Cape Escape on Cape San Blas, you will have fun!!!
