Kathleen B.Perfect Beach House for just about anyone
Love, Love, Love this beach house. I had reserved it a year in advance and was concerned about coming here during a pandemic but as soon as I arrived I was so happy and relieved to be here. The first thing I did upon arriving early in the evening was to jump in the salted, heated pool and it felt like instant bliss. This house has something for everyone. I can imagine a young family here - kids enjoying the pool, the ping pong table, the golf putting area in a comfortable house that is just a block from a sugar sand beach.... I can see a group of 20 or 30 something friends or couples here - enjoying nighttime swims in the amazing blue-lit pool at night, sitting on the upper deck with margaritas in hand watching the sunset come over the beach just one block away.... And I can imagine someone a little (or a lot) older than that, perhaps someone still working like myself, maybe a little stressed out, maybe needing a break from the cold of the northeast and coming here and feeling alive in a way they might not have felt for some time, having their stress just melt away and feeling at peace. Part of it is being in Holmes Beach which just a wonderful place but part of it really is this house and that pool!The living room and dinette seems recently upgraded and are quite nice. TV, AC, cable all work well. TV has Venmo which is a nice addition. I have my dog here and he is pretty content. My brother lives near by in St Petersburg and he has come to visit and a couple of times and has been very impressed with this house and enjoyed the pool immensely as well. While I have been here a landscaper has come by to maintain the yard and someone has come by weekly to take care of the pool. Ah.. that pool. That is what I will remember the most about this house.

Overall a wonderful experience. The beach is about a block from the house, close enough to not mind running back for bathroom or snacks. There are a few buckets and beach toys included, we left a few more. We couldn't find any beach chairs at the house but nice big towels for pool or beach. The "flower-beds" and trees around the pool could use some maintenance or trimming. My daughter took her hammock and was able to use it. The pool is nice and a few noodles to use in pool. Plenty of chairs around the pool. We spent a lot of time out-doors. Nice big table to eat lunch out there. The living room will only seat 6 ppl although the beds sleep 12. There are 2 refrigerators which is wonderful for a large group. The kitchen has everything you could need to fix meals. The dining room chairs are wobbly and we were cautious to even use some of them so we wouldn't get charged for breaking them. If you want the free trolley, just a few blocks walk for north-bound and 1block for south-bound but at a different location. If you plan to drive, the island traffic is often congested and slow. The check-in/check out is smooth. One of our best vacations.
