This home will have you stunned and you will experience pure luxury from the time you walk in the front door. The home is exquisitely decorated in an elegant coastal decor in splashes of aqua and soft blue colors with a shabby chic twist.
This home is located within walking distance to the white sand beaches of the Emerald Coast. It is a very spacious three story five-bedroom home with a beautiful lounge-style backyard with a pool and all amenities of outdoor living. (Please note pool is small approx. 15X9ft). The home has a light airy filled open floor plan with plenty of natural sunlight. It offers plenty of room to gather and share memories, while giving everyone an escape to their private bedroom.
There are four bedrooms that all have king size beds and one additional bedroom with custom built double bunks beds, four twin beds total. Plenty of room to sleep 12 adults/children. Enjoy the beautiful fully equipped kitchen where you will find everything you need to cook your meals. The kitchen with granite countertops, white cabinets, and premium stainless steel appliances and seating for 10 people is sure to please. The kitchen overlooks the living room where there is plenty of comfy seating for everyone to gather and enjoy their cocktails. If you don't want to be stuck inside, and would rather cook your meals outside, then head over to the beautifully landscaped outdoor living space where you will find a grill and plenty of comfy seating. Come have your morning coffee or evening cocktails at the private pool or simply just relax on the patio overlooking beautiful palm trees.
Access to a 6 passenger golf cart is available and included free of charge with your stay. Makes it a lot easier to get to and from the beach. Please note we do not offer a replacement should the golf cart end up in the shop during your stay.

We are the Luckiest Fishing Village in the world so rent a boat, surf fish, or Charter a Fishing Boat. If you are a golf enthusiast, you are in luck. We have at least 7 golf courses all within five miles. Don't miss The Village of Baytown Wharf where you can zip line, play on the huge playground, walk along the pier, feed the fish and find great eateries with fun nightlife! For families with children, there is Big Kahuna's Water Park, The Track, miniature golf, obstacle climbing and an arcade at the Village. Also not to miss is Harbor Walk Village, where there are fun activities for all ages including great restaurants, night life and live music almost nightly, and the best sunset views. Blue Mermaid was the perfect home for our family! Each family had their own floor. The house had everything included as advertised. The 6 person golf cart provided made trips to the beach easy! The kids ages 6-11 enjoyed pool time after a day at the beach! We were 6 adults and 5 kids. We would definitely rent this home again for our next beach trip!!

The Blue Mermaid is close to the beach and to great shopping. This is the second year we have stayed here and plan to do so again next year. Beautiful home with all the amenities one needs to make our stay cosy. Also, Donna was very responsive to our requests.

Brenda B.80’s Ladies 60th Birthday Celebration
10 of us spent a week in the Blue Mermaid and had a wonderful time. The house was laid out perfectly for us and all bedrooms have king size beds- this was a HUGE plus for us. The open loving space was perfect for this group, the kitchen table seats 10! The walk to the beach was good exercise, some of the group took advantage of the 6 seater golf cart that we nicknamed Bumblebee. There were a couple of incidents but the owner responded quickly and took care of the minor issues and gave us all a “birthday present” for the inconvenience. If there are any negatives it is that we had to leave. Several are talking about returning and bringing their families. Donna is awesome to work with and truly cares about making sure the renters are happy throughout their stay. ️️️️️

The Blue Mermaid is a lovely vacation rental! The pool and the golf cart were BIG pluses! Having two washers/dryers were also very convenient. The only thing I would add is to inquire about items that are stocked in the kitchen if you are planning any big meals. Beds were comfortable too.

We had our family stay here during the month of July. It was a cute3 story Beachy themed house. We were in a little community of matching houses. Not the best view out our windows but I didn’t care knowing I already didn’t have a beach view, it’s not why I rented the house. Plenty of king size beds(4) and a double bunk beds in one of the downstairs rooms. Everyone had their own tv. Every bathroom had a shower. The only negative was the master bed was too soft and killed my husbands and my back but we had so much space we slept in other beds which were all comfortable. Loved the extra blankets to curl up with. We enjoyed all the cute decorated spacious rooms and had plenty of space for everyone to not feel crammed. I was concerned the plunge pool would be too small for my family but the kids enjoyed coming home from the beach and going straight to the pool to play around in. We cooked out and cooked meals plenty of morning and evenings since restaurants were over packed bc of peak season. The grill worked good and outdoor patio was nice to eat around. The golf cart was a perfect addition to stroll around or pack up for a beach day. There were tons of beach toys. A few working bikes of diff sizes, some need updated or new tires but we were able to inflate some tires so we could go on rides. A couple of ice chests, umbrellas, a few chairs. I would recommend starting guests out w left over dish soap would be a plus or at least to get started with and if guests could leave seasoning or spices like salt& pepper. It was very quiet at night. And plenty of restaurants to drive to by golf cart. I would recommend to a big family or multiple families.

We stayed for two months and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is ideal — close to the beach, close to the outlet mall and Destin Commons plus many fabulous restaurants. Although we didn’t use them, the house is well equipped with beach chairs, bicycles and a golf cart. I really liked the fact that the Blue Mermaid has 2 master suites so that my friend and I could have our own space, but could connect in the large open kitchen/living room.The beds were very comfortable and all the bedrooms were equipped with smart TV’s. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at Donna’s home. The house has lots of room for everyone. Beds are very comfortable, everyone had their own bath and they were well stocked. We had the pool heated and the kids loved it. We didn’t have great weather but the house worked well for games movies and cooking. Lots of restaurants and shopping very close to the house. Took the golf cart over to the beach the couple days we had nice weather. Thank you for everything!

House was amazing. Very clean! The owner, Donna was very nice and responsive with all of our questions. Due to COVID we Stayed most of the time in the house and we enjoyed the inside and outside. The backyard is beautiful and spacious. The kids and adults got to enjoy the heated pool. A very short walk to the beach. Location is great. A big plus was how clean the house was!

The Blue Mermaid was amazing!!! The décor was perfect in every room, with all the accommodations to meet all of our needs. We especially loved having the golf cart available to load up and go to the beach, riding my grandkids around, and even using as transportation to dinner. We loved being centrally located within walking distance to the beach, shops and much more. There just wasn't enough time to enjoy all the beauty the area had to offer. Oh my gosh the bike riding!!!!
