Horizon is a Gulf Front 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home that is aptly named as the views of the horizon from this house are never ending. The owners of Horizon have owned on the Cape since the 70s and have decades long experience in vacation home ownership. Due to this prior experience, Horizon features 72 windows, a 360-degree wrap around deck, a look-out deck, and an observatory room that will leave you speechless. Horizon is located within the upscale gated community of Hibiscus on the Gulf side. Community amenities include a beach boardwalk, lightly used pool, and a bayside 500’ dock. The Hibiscus community where Horizon is located is located directly south of Billy Joe Rish State Park, which is a mile long section of state park. The south end that park touches the Hibiscus community has half of a mile of uninhabited and undeveloped beach and wildlife conservation area making it one of the most private areas of Cape San Blas outside of “the” state park (T.H. Stone Memorial St Joseph Peninsula State Park.)
Once you arrive at Horizon you will be greeted by the grand sight of this stunning all white home that looks like s ship from certain angles. The carport can easily fit 2 cars completely covered with a 90-degree driveway that can fit at least one other leaving access to the others. The carport has a beach storage closet, outdoor hot/cold shower, and plenty of room if you rent kayaks or other water or beach equipment. To get upstairs you can either enter the downstairs interior and take the elevator or take the external stairs that lead up to the main living room deck. Inside the ground floor interior space, you will find the elevator access and laundry room as well as a large concrete entryway that has plenty of space to safely store your beach gear that you prefer not to leave outside.
If you choose to take the stairs you will walk up to the 360-degree wrap around deck featuring both Gulf and bay views. This deck is furnished with a full-sized outdoor dining room table, 3 lounge chairs, and a natural gas grill that is connected directly to a gas line. After walking through the double front door (which is not included in the window count, by the way,) you will walk straight into the main living room floor which has an open floor concept Kitchen, Dining, and Living room as well as the only other elevator access and a half bath that is tucked behind the kitchen. You will also find the only interior staircase that leads up to the bedroom floor. The elevator accesses the ground floor (floor 1) and main living floor (floor 2), only, and does not access the bedroom floor (floor 3.) The Kitchen at Horizon features a 36 inch gas stove and double wall ovens. Combine those with the views from anywhere on this floor and you will never want to cook anywhere else. The Dining Room is located directly on front of the rounded windows for sunset dinner views. The Living Room has a full sized couch and two chairs that surround a television inside the cabinet. You don’t come to the beach to watch TV? Just close the cabinet system and you won’t even know it’s there!
On the bedroom floor you will come to King Suite #1 first which is a bedroom that faces west towards the Gulf and has stunning views including sunsets. All bedrooms at Horizon are oversized and spacious with identical private attached full-sized bathrooms with walk-in showers including King Suite #1. Taking a right at the top of the stairs, you will head towards the Observation Room, Office, and King Suite #2 or take a left to head towards the twin suite bedroom. The Observation Room features 4 comfortable swivel chairs that can all turn to see the stunning views. This room has a small drink cooler and a private deck. The deck offers both sunrise and sunset views and are the highest and best views of the house. Back inside and continuing to the right you will find a large galley style office with the WIFI router and modem for the best internet in the house. King Suite #2 faces east and north for stunning sunrise views and a side glace at the Gulf. Back to the left around the staircase is the Twin Suite bedroom which has two twin beds. This room faces south and east which means it has sunrise views and a side glace at the Gulf.
Amenities at Horizon include a community beach boardwalk, lightly used community pool, and a 500’ bayside community dock. The beach boardwalk is nearly connected to Horizon’s driveway offering direct and easy beach access. The boardwalk has about a dozen stairs at the end as of August 2025 but is otherwise completely flat with a keyed entry gate. Just a 2–3-minute walk away from Horizon, or 500’ to be more precise, you will have access to the lightly used community pool. This pool is still located on Gulf side of Hibiscus. If you wish to visit the bay you will cross Cape San Blas Road and enter Hibiscus Bay. At the end of that road, you will find the community bayside dock that is 500 feet long. It has a kayak launching area as well as stairs at the very end and halfway down.
Horizon is the perfect home for couples, small families, or solo travelers. It has amazing amenities that make it the perfect choice for any season of the year. This home was immaculate! Everything about Horizon House was perfect! A gulf front beauty in a safe area. House didn't have the typical, boring beach decor. It had unique, well chosen decor with white being the primary color making it "clean looking" & not overdone. Kitchen had everything we needed, plus more! The elevator worked perfectly which usually is not the case in home elevators -- it functioned perfectly every single time. Terry & Teresa are a pleasure to work with when booking accommodations. I always check with them first when I'm booking at Cape San Blas. I will definitely book Horizon House again,

We booked a two weeks stay at Cape San Blas from late October into November. The weather never dipped below 75 and it didn’t rain at all. In fact, the weather was the most glorious of all our visit to CSB over the past decade! The house was HORIZON located in the gated Hybiscus Community on north end. It was laid out so well, had comfortable furniture, plenty of space, fully stocked kitchen, and right beside the private walk way to the beach. We especially enjoyed the panoramic view of the Gulf from all the decks and windows. It was exceptionally clean! We will rent this house again.

Horizon is located in a quiet gated community located on the north end of the Cape. Horizon's location adjacent to an undeveloped stretch of shore line is priceless. The home's open design and several windows provide unobstructed views of the water. The home has a well equipped kitchen, an office, and a unique observation room on the upper level that offers unrivaled vistas of the gulf. Would I return? In a heart beat!

Outstanding design and gated location! The panoramic views fit the name, HORIZON! Well maintained and kitchen well stocked! Boardwalks to Beach and Bay are flat and level making for an easy walk! Gazebos on both Beach and Bay. We rented adult trikes and that added to the experience with trips on the boardwalks and Cape bike paths! Hard to find any negatives. Suggestions for upgrades would be shades on Beach side windows for afternoon sun, firmer and taller sofa/chairs for us 'oldagers' and a little more clothing drawer space in bedrooms.

I have always found that to be the case - every single time - over the last 3+ years. Also, the fact that their rates are all inclusive is so helpful. Horizon is located on a spectacular section of the Cape with large natural sand dunes.. The wrap around deck offers views off the gulf and bay, A second floor seating area, or an observation room, offers outstanding views of the gulf. It's a perfect place to watch the sunset. The home is well appointed and super quiet inside. The beach is just a few steps away via a neighborhood boardwalk. The neighborhood has a beautiful pool and pavilion that is a few minutes walk from Horizon.

If you enjoy no hassle booking and no hidden fees give Terri and Teresa a call. The house we booked was beautiful with an unobstructed view of the gulf! Being an old Navy man I particularly enjoyed seeing the “green flash” again! If you don’t know what that is it’s as the sun sets the very thinnest edge before it drops below the horizon turns brilliant green. Do stop at the grocery store before you check in as groceries are very limited on the cape.

We had a wonderful stay in this home! It’s well appointed & had everything we needed! The community boardwalk was rarely used by others, as well as the community pool. The handful of times we went to the pool, we had it to ourselves. The view was beautiful from the balconies! The only thing I would change would be that the outside shower was actually enclosed where others couldn’t see in. We had a great stay!

We were a little worried that our beloved cape would still be down and out because of the hurricane,but were pleasantly surprised to find our usual house, Horizon, and Cape San Blas were in great shape! As usual the house had all the space and amenities we’ve come to expect. It was spotless and so conducive to our family’s needs. Some of the protecting dunes were a little washed away by the storm, so we felt like the beach view was even a little better. Had just as much fun on our rental boat on St. Joe’s bay too! Will definitely be back! P.S. We DID miss Indian Pass Raw Bar. I think they’re reopening in Sept though!

We loved everything about this house! The location is great also having the pool was a bonus since the water was rough a few days. The only thing I would change about this house is at least in one bathroom add a pull down shower head to help people with small children. It was definitely a pain to get my three year old washed off everyday but it wouldn’t stop me from staying here. Just a heads up for people with small kids that there is no bath. I just didn’t pay attention to that when I booked. Also this area we basically had the beach to ourselves which was very nice. I can’t wait to hopefully stay here again next year!

It makes it much easier for both purposes. For others reading this review Horizon offers 3 bathrooms that are pretty much identical. They are large walk-in custom built glass showers. This home, indeed, does not have a tub, but most of our other homes do if there is anyone reading that cannot be without one for a week."

Overall, my experience at Horizon was excellent The home is easy on the eyes, full of natural light, nicely appointed, with outstanding views of the gulf and St.Joe bay. Horizon is steps from a beautiful stretch of the Cape that was ideal for relaxing and soaking in the the natural beauty of the area. We enjoyed the nearby pool and the comfortable furniture there.Terrie, and Teresa were very pleasant to work with and provided assistance in renting a cabana from Happy Cabana. They setup and removed chairs and cabana each day.

We routinely stay on the Cape at least once during the summer. Horizon is a great house and is very private. Beaches are uncrowded and the house layout and modern decor are just what we enjoy. We had "Chamber of Commerce" weather during our stay and the west facing view makes for wonderful sunsets. Highly recommended.

This house is very well laid out with nice dining table inside and out. Beautiful sitting room on second floor. The three bedrooms are each spacious with their own bath - the space and amenities not all invested in one master suite - great for three couples.

My husband and I were very Blessed to spend a week at Horizon reconnecting and celebrating our 27th Anniversary. We were Blessed to have our friends also join us for a couple of days and another friend and her husband stop by for a visit and watch a sunset with us. Our favorite things were the location of the house, the observation room and deck, the beautiful beach and sunsets, swimming in the pool and the ocean and watching the stars at night. Teresa was great to deal with and provided all the information we needed and made the renting process easy. We love the Cape which is our home away from home and I will definitely rent from Teresa’s Beach Homes again and recommend the rental home Horizon to my friends.
