Great Escape - Gulf Front 2 bedroom, 2 full baths. Our Great Escape beach cottage is not only perfect for a couple looking for some quiet together time at the beach, it's also prefect for two couples sharing a vacation or a smaller family group during prime rental weeks; it is a great value for a true Gulf Front vacation rental home. Great Escape is directly on the beach and has fantastic views! Sleeps 6.
Great Escape has two queen bedrooms, and the gulf front queen master has a private bath. It also has a sofa sleeper in the living room.
There is a screened deck off the living room and gulf front master bedroom, an additional sun deck and a screened area under the home. The beach in front of Great Escape is wide, has the northern Cape's beautiful white powder sand and of course, the northern Cape's beautiful western sunsets
Great Escape also has a whole home cell phone signal booster that we are having approx a 90% success rate with most cell phone providers. We cannot promise you'll have good cell service, but it's working for most people.

Cape San Blas FL is a very special place. Most fall in love with it the first time they visit. Many of our past guest have now bought homes here. We have the gulf of mexico on one side and the bay on the other. Most any home you rent you can see both bodies of water from.

Chris W.It Really is a Great Escape!
This is our 2nd stay in this home, and we have already booked for summer 2022. We come with our grown daughter and our large breed dogs. The Wi-Fi is sound which is important since our daughter must be in touch with work and is also working on her graduate degree while we vacation. The porch is amazing as she can sit there to do her work with a fantastic view of the ocean. Having the screened area and the deck gives us a fantastic place to let dogs dry and cool off after they romp on the beach. While humans are taking a break from the sand, you can still enjoy the sounds and sights of the ocean. It you like to run, head up the road to the path and take a right. If you run 3-4 miles round trip, half of your view is the bay. Just beautiful early in the morning. There kitchen has everything you need to cook at home, and the large table is great for family meals or for working on a puzzle after dinner. There are plenty of linens and the house has been clean both times we’ve rented - once during the height of COVID-19 Pandemic. Oh, if you have forgotten something, you can just walk to the Tradin’ Post. If you are looking for a small house on the beach that is also affordable, this is the house! Did I mention the only carpet is a living room and a kitchen rug? This makes it so much easier for you to bring your furry family members, too!

Teresa’s is the perfect rental company to work with, and Great Escape is a fantastic home for a small family with pets. The deck and screen room made rinsing and drying big dogs a breeze, the walk-over from the house to the beach made for easy access, and the house itself was comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, the hard flooring throughout works well with big dogs, and the house is perfectly located for outdoor fun. We hope to return next summer!

The location is very good for families who want to just get away from everything. The beach is clean, even though it's pet friendly, we did not find any pet droppings on the beach. The house was clean and very welcoming. Booking was easy and the owners were great to! the screen back porch was wonderful not only for us, but for our dog.I would come back in the future but would absolutely have my Bug Spray. I'm from Tennessee and we don't have these little bugs that you can't even see. The NO-See-Ums I have never in my life experienced something so bad to me! my family got a bite or two but I was eaten up! I actually have scars from those little suckers!! my advice is to wear bug spray or cactus juice ( I learned about cactus juice at the post next door) wich BTW is wonderful and has everything you could imagine including food !! The experience was awesome relaxing and we had plenty of room for our family of 4 and little dog. parking was awesome! both cars were in a carport.The water and views and the beach are all we go for anyways. and it met all of our expectations!take your bicycles, its not far from the park. FYI you have to pay to get in, but the funds are for the park and to keep it clean and welcoming (very understanding) :)

Great Escape was absolutely lovely. Cozy, clean and spectacular views. This was our first year coming to the Cape during Thanksgiving (we have been coming in the summer for over 30 years) and I think I actually prefer it in November! Cool mornings and warm afternoons. We love that we can bring our dogs, because they are family too! Be sure to bring dog beds if you have a fur baby with you so they will have a comfy spot. Teresa's Beach Homes is a wonderful company to do business with. They are warm, friendly and prompt to respond to any questions you may have. I highly recommend them.

This was our 3rd stay in the Great Escape. The views were amazing as usual. Ate breakfast outside every morning. We love this place and hope to be back next year. The 4 legged babies love it as well. Work continues in the area but it is a small inconvenience compared to the beauty of the cape. Can't wait till next year!!!!

Leanne S.Steps to the beach - It is a "Great Escape"!
First of all, this is the perfect cottage on the beach - big enough for two couples to have plenty of space. Each bedroom has its own bath. The kitchen is clean and well stocked. The screened-in porches are the icing on the cake. The parking space is good for 2 large vehicles. We have been coming to the Cape for about 20 years, and this is one of the best places that we have stayed in. We cook a lot, so when we found the oven was not heating properly, we put in a call to Terri, and she immediately responded. By the next day we had biscuits for breakfast! From the initial contact, we got the overwhelming feeling that we would be taken care of. We were a little concerned about the aftermath of Hurricane Michael after we heard about and saw some of the devastation - and while there are several places still patching up, for the most part all of the debris has been picked up. The beach area is fine. They were working on the roads, but it looked like all of that will be done soon. We shopped at Piggly Wiggly in town, but honestly could find most everything we needed at the Trading Post very close to the Great Escape. We love to go into Port St. Joe for shopping and good seafood and Mexican food and to Apalachicola for some shopping and good food at The Grill and The Owl. We will be back to the Great Escape.

What a great house in a perfect location...has it's own private boardwalk directly to the beach. Loved having the option to choose to watch sunsets from either the screened porch or the sundeck. Wouldn't change a thing, look forward to our next visit!

Cape San Blas beaches are outstanding and the best way to visit them is by staying at Great Escape. My boyfriend and I have stayed at Great Escape before and really enjoyed returning for another stay. This place is wonderful, right on the beach and Teresa and Terri are the best host making sure everything is perfect at the beach house. We have stayed at several of Teresa‘s Beach homes over the years and will definitely continue to stay at them. They have everything you need to make your visit and vacation one in 1 million. Even though there is still quite a bit of recovery efforts and rebuilding happening around Cape San Blas and Port Saint Joe our vacation post hurricane Michael was still wonderful. We look forward to our next visit and to stay at Great Escape.

Great Escape is the perfect size and location for one or two couples or small family. It is clean and well furnished. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. Teresa, Chris and Terri are helpful, kind and want you to enjoy your vacation. The area is still amazing. Yes, there is damage but your visit will not be impacted - it is still the best vacation spot of all. The locals are working hard, Mother Nature is also. The hurricane is no reason to not visit. The hurricane is another reason to visit - you will be part of the rebuilding process and have fun doing it.

Easy on and easy off the cape and close to Apalachicola and Port St. Joe. White sand beach at the door step and plenty of sunshine. The house was immaculately clean and well kept. The added bonus of being able to have my land lubber dog turn into a surf loving salt water nut was an added bonus. Would be at the top of the list for a return visit.

Loved the little house - loved the location. You can walk to the shrimp company for steamed shrimp or fresh seafood for lunch or dinner, to the donut shop, ice cream shop and the trading post. There is not a bad thing to say about the house we rented, Great Escape, it has everything you need including beautiful sunsets. Teresa and Chris and Terri are great to work with and go above and beyond to make sure things are right in your rental. You will not be disappointed - fun little rental.

The Great Escape is perfect in every way. The views from the screened in porch or the sun deck can't be beat. No detail has been overlooked to make it the perfect home away from home. This house has a hose on the boardwalk , an outdoor shower, and every kitchen item needed to cook your own meals (including a crockpot)! The location on the Cape can't be beat for a quick walk to grab morning donuts or evening ice cream! 2019 will be our 6th time staying in this great home and Teresa's Beach Homes help make reservations a breeze! This is a great place to stay on the cape! The sunrise/sunset are both amazing. I have stayed here at this Pet friendly Home twice and just made reservations for a third time. The house has everything you need to park your car for the week or is a great location if you want to get out and about!
