Beautiful home for rent directly from owners
Save $$$ renting this beautiful, three bedroom, two and a half bath, private home directly from the owners. Please call us at to discuss the rates. Our two-story home is located in the family-oriented Mainsail Beach Resort complex.
We are just yards from the beach without the normal hassles of high rise elevators, but with all the amenities of a complex (tennis courts, two full-size pools (one heated), two kiddie pools, hot tub, video game room, exercise room, shuffleboard and basketball court, as well as seasonal beach service. You drive your car right up to the front door under cover of a carport. Your children can play in the yard or swim in the heated pool just outside our back patio door.
The master bathroom has been recently renovated and all the floors have been replaced with beautiful hardwood and tile. We have one of the best equipped kitchens on the beach and love to cook when we are there ourselves. The bedrooms have new mattresses and there are four TV's and free Wifi. We love to rent our home to good families who will take great care of our home away from home for us.

What we love most about our Mainsail cottage is we have a home to ourselves with a carport and yard. We don't have to find a cart and wait for an elevator to carry in our luggage or groceries. With a home, we have enough room for everyone to enjoy themselves without feeling crowded. I love the large kitchen. Most condos have such small kitchens I hate to cook in them.

Kids love the heated pool outside our back door and the large yard to play in.

Mainsail is a 15-acre gulfside family resort located across the street from the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. The resort is a gated community with 24 hour courtesy patrol. Our cottage is convenient to great golf courses, deep sea fishing, biking, shopping, great food, and all kinds of water activities. Mainsail is on the East side of Destin so you have all the shopping, restaurants, and activities in Destin without all the crowds

All love to come to the Beach House
Why this property? Tony started going to Destin with friends every Spring Break in 1989. We started going a couple years later when Tricia was ready for a Spring Break in Destin. We loved Destin so much, we went back for vacation every summer. We stayed at Beach House, SeaScape, Surfside, and Edgewater, before staying in a Mainsail townhouse. Mainsail was by far our favorite resort community. Everyone was so friendly and the resort is very family oriented. One of the Mainsail cottages was for sale and we went to see it. We decided since we loved Destin so much we might as well buy a place and rent it out until we are ready to retire. It was a great decision! We love our home and we have been lucky enough to find wonderful families to rent our home and take great care of it for us. Now we love to come to Destin and bring all the grand kids.

I have been to Destin on several occasions so this trip was to simply CHILL!! And chill we did! The majority of our time was spent either in the pool or lounging around it, on one of the two patios, or out at one of the many fine dining establishments!After initially deciding that there were so many options that going to the same place twice made no sense, we actually could not resist doing that a couple of times!All in all, it was the best place ever to spend a week!!!

We had a great 9 weeks at Mainsail in Cottage #23 It is roomy and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for every baking or cooking need. The bed is comfortable and the walk in shower is wonderful. All in all a great place to stay !!!

We enjoyed everything about the cottage. A 5 minute walk to the beach, and just about fall out the back door into the pool. Great times at both places. Cottage was wonderful and clean and had everything we needed to enjoy home cooked meals. Also within short driving distance to many restaurants, grocery stores and malls. All the neighbors were really nice and enjoying their time in DESTIN.

We had a fantastic week in Cottage 23 at the Mainsail Resort in Destin! House was clean, beautiful and spacious!! Loved being in a home and not a condo for the week. Beach is within walking distance, and didn’t have to cross major highway to get there. Loved having the convenience of an umbrella and 2 chair set up each day. Can’t find a more beautiful beach in Florida!! Fully stocked kitchen was a plus, we cooked almost every night!! We called it our “Peach Beach” house.

We stayed at this cottage in Mainsail a couple of weeks ago and could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. Pat, our renter, was a joy to work with and keeps a spotless cottage. We had plenty of room and were right next to the family pool! We also took advantage of our complementary 2 beach chairs everyday at the beach. It was close the everything we could have needed. A pharmacy, grocery store, and all kinds of restaurants are within steps of this gated little paradise. This cozy home away from home was exactly what we needed for a delightful getaway. Thanks Pat for being a renters dream! We will certainly be back!

Our family stayed at the Mainsail Cottage 23 the last week of June. Weather was great, Cottage was awesome. Pool right outside back door. Beach 5 minute walk away. Amenities galore in Cottage. Kitchen is wonderful, had everything we needed and more. Beds were great, shower in Master was really cool. Pat was a great hostess, contacted us multiple times to make sure our stay was going well and wanted any feedback we had. Hope to return next year.

It was great to be back in Destin at the Mainsail Cottage #23. A lot of things have changed since our last visit. We loved all of the updates to the bathrooms, especially the rain shower in the Master Suite!!! Our grandson enjoyed sitting at the small desk playing with his cars every day. It is always a pleasure to rent from Pat. Destin is still a beautiful place to come and relax!! We have many happy memories at Cottage #23.

We had a great time staying at this cottage. Owner (Patricia) was easy to work with and quick to answer questions. When she says the kitchen is fully stocked, she isn’t kidding! You have anything and everything you could possibly need. The location was great with easy access to the main road. It is a few minutes walk to the beach so I felt like I got a little exercise everyday. The beach is beautiful. I’ve never seen such white sand. I would definitely stay at this cottage again! Highly recommend!

Cottage 23 is a wonderful place to vacation. It is conveniently located near the pool, but there isn’t a great deal of noise when you’re inside the cottage. There is so much room for entertaining, and the kitchen is the best equipped kitchen of all our vacation rentals. The master bathroom has been updated with an amazing shower! We used the fitness room which overlooks the ocean on rainy days, but nothing beats the beach which is a five minute walk from the cottage.

This cottage was perfect for our family. A short walk from the beach (no roads to cross) and a heated pool right out the back door were enjoyed everyday while we were there. The grilling area by the pool had both gas and charcoal grills available. There is a balcony off one of the upstairs bedrooms that was nice to sit and drink coffee at in the mornings. I look forward to taking my family here again in the future.

This house is in a great location has the feel of home shopping for groceries are a short distance have a pool just steps out of the back door,house is well furnished beach setup is a plus the owner is great to work with,it is great for family trips the gated entrance makes you feel safe with children we have returned for many years to this location and house and grounds are well kept.

This cottage was perfect for our family! We absolutely love the Mainsail community and all of it's ammenities! Private beach front, this cottage is right next to the pool, another pool on the grounds near the beach, workout room, tennis courts, and only a minute away from the Chick-fil-A and grocery store! What more could you need!? We arrive, park the car for the week and relax. Cottage 23 has everything you need right down to a waffle maker! My kids were set :) Beds are cozy, couch is comfy, and everything else you could need is not far! Owners were very prompt in replying to all emails and kept us up to date on all FL regulations while waiting for the state to reopen to travelers! Mainsail is our yearly beach stop, we hope to stay here again!

Stayed here for 2 months for second year in a row. Owners are very easy to work with, very quick response. Cottage 23 has 3 bedrooms with a large 1st floor master bedroom, large master bathroom with great walk in shower. Covered parking right outside your door. Well stocked kitchen, washer & dryer. Large living area with large flat screened tv. Covered patio. Cottage is right across from heated pool. Pool water is warm, can swim even on a chilly day. Gated complex, close to shopping and restaurants. Cottage is just a short walk from the ocean. Cottage feels very homey and comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay.
