Tropical Pool Home with Tiki Hut & 60' Dock

We are Repeat customers!!

This is our 3rd stay at this home. It is perfectly located about 1 hour from Key West going south & a little less than 1 hour to lslamorada going north. Both good places to eat & shop. Marathon itself has all you need…grocery, drugstores, and some really nice restaurants. We have eaten at most of the places the hosts have recommended and enjoyed them all! Try The Butterfly Cafe located in Tranquility Bay resort for a special meal. The view of the water from the tiki hut is so relaxing. We saw a pod of about 8 porpoise, turtles, manatees, pelicans and numerous fish jumping. The home is always clean and the hosts, Joe & Mary are very responsive to any concerns, as well as their property manager Debbie. The pool was warm and we enjoyed floating. Our favorite place to come to get away!

Our home away from HOME!

We have stayed here for the past three years and already booked again!! This house has captured our hearts from the inside out. The views are incredible from dusk until dawn and it’s so peaceful. We have days of not leaving the house and enjoying fishing from the dock, watching the tarpons, turtles dolphins, manatees and waves of parrot fish. The occasional nurse shark also makes an appearance also. Kayaking in and out of the canal is so easy! It’s large enough that the bigger boats passing through are never an issue. So convenient to all that Marathon has to offer. Joe is exceptionally good at communicating and very responsive with any issues we have had, which have only been a couple. Even checked on us during the cold spell last November to make sure the heat was working. The pool is excellent after a day adventuring and cooling off after a day of fishing from the bridges. The only complaint is the days pass so fast! Cannot wait until our next stay!!

Best trip EVER!

Will definitely be back to this house. The house was perfect! We saw manatees, lots of sea turtles, tropical fish and caught a tarpon! The house is ideally located and very private. We had a fabulous two week vacation enjoying sitting by the pool and under the tiki hut. The only issue we had was fixed within the hour.

Love this property!

This was our second year renting from Joe and Mary. We loved our week last year so much that we rented for 2 weeks this time! We really love this property. My husband and I love the quiet neighborhood. We could spend hours sitting under the tiki hut watching tarpon rolling and turtles poping up. The pool is fantastic and we love kayaking out for sunset. The property is gated and secure for our little pup to run around. It has everything you need and the owners are fantastic! We will be booking for year number 3 soon!

We absolutely loved this place!!!

This home is in a wonderful location. We seen dolphins and manatees from our dock. Joe is an absolutely wonderful home owner. The air was not working properly and within minutes, Joe had the issue resolved. We will absolutely be returning!!!! Thanks Joe and Mary Curley

Everything we wanted. Relaxing, lots of sea creatures, pool, sunshine and most of all PRIVACY. We all enjoyed, the dogs too!

Enjoyed our stay!

This was our first time renting a private property and I was a little nervous and had lots of questions. The owner took the time to answer all my questions and explain the process to me. Booking was easy. We very much enjoyed our stay!! The property is lovely in a nice quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed the private pool and tiki hut which is were we spent most of our time. We ejoyed watching lots of Tarpon and Sea Turtles from the dock. We took full advantage of the kayak, which was easy to get in and out of the water, paddled out for several sunsets and even had 4 Manatee crusing along beside us at one point! We were thrilled that the back of the property is fully gated in and we could let our little pup run around and hunt lizards to his little hearts content and know he was secure. I just cant say enough good things about the home and our experience! Rent from Joe and Mary with confidence!! We will definitely be renting from them again in the future!!

Wonderful Home and Views

The views from the windows and balcony were delightful all day long and into the night. We saw turtles, tarpons and a few parrot fish hiding under the dock. We even caught one big parrot fish and many other fish during the stay. It was a restful and delightful vacation. We enjoyed the pool and the Tiki hut in the afternoon with the breeze The home had everything you could need for a vacation.

Stay at the octagon house

We enjoyed our stay. The house met our basic needs. We did have issues with the temperature but the house keeper convinced the owner to set it to our liking. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic waterfront home in Marathon

We can not say enough about the property we rented from the Curley's. Starting the house; it's beautifully decorated inside, equipped with whatever you might need to have a simple breakfast, cook a big meal, BBQ some fish, or mix up a frozen libation. The 2nd floor balcony is perfect spot to have morning coffee. The house was clean and good order when we arrived, check in was a breeze. The pool and outdoor areas; The pool is private and walled on the south side by trees and tropical bushes, it is big enough for the kids to have fun splashing and swimming while we relaxed on the step which makes a perfect spot to cool off without getting all the way in. Pool was warm and clean upon our arrival, it will require you to skim it once in a while as the wind is constant and it is nestled into an area of trees and bushes, this seems like a small task to me. The waterfront is the real show for my family, we brought a small center counsel boat which where able to tie up right on the dock behind the house. In addition to that convenience the lagoon(much bigger than a canal) offers a great deal of sea life to watch and observe. We saw many species of tropical fish right from the dock, as well as sea turtle, stingrays, jelly fish, and sharks. The area or Marathon; There is too much to list as for as activities but some the things that filled our week in Marathon where, fishing the gulf, we caught sea trout, mangrove snapper, shark, grunts, blue runners, and quite a few that we couldn't identify. There are too many great restaurants to name, and they all have fresh seafood if that is thing, we went almost everywhere by boat, with a little guidance from a local or two it is easy enough to get around. We also made the one hour drive to Key West to experience that scene, easy drive there and back. Overall I could not recommend this property more, this is our 4th visit and next year will likely be our 5th visit.

Paradise found

My husband and I rented this property for a week and are already discussing another trip to Marathon! Great location! Very peaceful and serine with the private pool and tiki hut! The views are fabulous from all of the spacious windows! The house was very clean and updated with all of the amenities one needs! The bed was extremely comfy! The owners and property manager were very easy to communicate with..overall..PARADISE!

Great home, great pool, great location!

Having rented this home a few times, it always feels like a hug when arriving because it is so comfortable and feels like home. Besides being close to everything Marathon offers, we're always satisfied spending hours in the pool and relaxing in the Tiki hut enjoying the view and all nature offers in the beautiful canal.

Beautiful memories

Beautiful memories, we are two couples And the home was beautiful close to many great restaurant. We rented a 27’ Boston whaler caught Planty Of fish and relaxed in our privet pool. We will go again, thank you! ;-)

Beautiful views and quiet neighborhood

Everything was exactly as advertised, not any disappointment. The house was well stocked with kitchen utensils, linens and lots of nice amenities. And, it was easier to rent from this owner than we have experienced with many other places. They were great. We really enjoyed our trip and plan to visit again. The only thing we would have changed? The folks renting the unit next door were very nice, we enjoyed meeting them. But, every time they left the house, their little dog barked non stop, often for 2-3 hours. We know this has no bearing on the homeowners but, we will check to see if the unit is rented next time! :)

Great vacation

Property was as advertised. We spent most days outside on the dock or in the tiki hut relaxing. Owners were very helpful and even returned our security deposit within 2 business days. Great trip!
