Our dogs loved the beach, the house was equipped with everything we needed (including thoughtful extras like snacks, coffee, soaps, and beach towels), the bedding was AMAZING, and the hot tub was perfect for peaceful evenings.We were treated to pods of dolphins offshore and eagles soaring overhead. 🐬🦅 I arrived with a stress headache and left feeling completely relaxed and renewed. That's the magic of this place!Michelle with Beach Bound Vacation Rentals was a wonderful host, and the owners have truly thought of everything to make guests feel welcome.We will absolutely be back! A Little Slice of Heaven on Cape San Blas!We originally booked 7 days at Mermaid Lodge and ended up extending our stay to 11 days! That pretty much says it all. We simply weren't ready to leave this incredible beachfront paradise!From the beautiful white sand beach to the thoughtfully appointed home, everything was wonderful. Both we and our dogs absolutely loved our time here. The owners have truly thought of everything to make their guests feel welcome and at home. The house was exceptionally well equipped, with thoughtful extras like snacks, coffee, soaps, and beach towels that made our stay feel effortless from the moment we arrived.The bedding deserves a special mention because it was AMAZING! And the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind during quiet evenings after beautiful days at the beach.One of the most special parts of our stay was the incredible wildlife. Watching pods of dolphins playing offshore and eagles soaring overhead reminded us just how magical Cape San Blas can be.I arrived with a stress headache and left with nothing but relaxation, peace, and wonderful memories. There is something truly healing about this place, and Mermaid Lodge gave us exactly the getaway we needed.Michelle, the property manager with Beach Bound Vacation Rentals, was a wonderful host and helped make our experience even better. It's clear that a lot of thought and care have gone into making this home special.We have stayed in many places, but Mermaid Lodge is one of those rare finds that makes you want to return before you've even left. Pamela A.Our family had a wonderful vacation in this gorgeous home. True, there was some major construction on the beach for the first couple of days so we didn't get to put our toes in the sand. But Michelle came over and actually went down and spoke to the workers and they actually offered to pick us all up and take us to an area with no construction. In all honesty, the revitalization of the beach was interesting to watch and now that same stretch of sand is GORGEOUS! As for everything else, the house was the most well appointed, comfortable home we've ever vacationed in. Every kind of appliance, pot, pan, spatula, whatever-you-could-think-of was available! We've been vacationing at the Cape for 24 years and this trip was one of our best! Thank you Michelle!

GLENDA S.Mermaid Lodge was amazing with views of the ocean from every room. It was so well equipped with anything needed for cooking, relaxing and enjoying the beach. The beach equipment was wonderful and so nice to take it to the beach and enjoy the ocean. The realtor was so wonderful!! If there was a question or need she was always ready to assist. I highly recommend this house if you want to have a wonderful time and vacation!!!!!

NikoWe had an absolutely wonderful stay in Cape San Blas! The house was right on the water with immaculate, breathtaking views — waking up to that scenery every morning was unforgettable. We came as three couples, and the home had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax comfortably.The town itself is peaceful and family-friendly, exactly the kind of quiet getaway we were hoping for. There were some great food spots nearby, and the fresh seafood in the area was amazing. The house was spotlessly clean throughout, and the elevator was a huge bonus — it made hauling our luggage up so much easier.Between the ambience, the views, the cleanliness, and the smooth communication with the management, everything exceeded our expectations. We’d happily come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach escape. Thank you for a fantastic trip!

MichaelThe home was amazing and as advertised. The beach directly in front of the home was recently restored post-hurricane and is nice and wide with a lot of room to spread out. Our entire family loved the views of the bay on one side of the home and beach on the other. The deck on the ground level is perfect during the hottest part of the day. It is a short drive/walk to rentals for bikes and kayaks, which we loved. Port saint joe was less than 30 minutes away and surprisingly enjoyable. Multiple sea turtles laid nests the week of our trip, and we got to spend an hour watching/talking with the conservationist. I considered not writing a review because I do not want other people to rent the home, but they earned it. I have vacationed in the panhandle for 38 years, and Cape San Blas is our new favorite. #OverTheCrowds
