Area Information

There is certainly no shortage of things to see and do in and around Wellen Park, but honestly, some of our favorite days are the ones when we never leave the resort.

Start the morning with a round of golf or a game of pickleball, stop at the Tiki Bar for lunch and a cold drink, or head to the neighborhood satellite pool when you just want a quick dip or an hour basking in the Florida sunshine with a good book. For a little extra relaxation, treat yourself to some time at the spa. After a day on the golf course, we especially enjoy heading back to the Tiki Bar for a casual dinner and simply enjoying the relaxed resort atmosphere.

When you do feel like venturing out, there is plenty close by. Downtown Wellen offers waterfront dining, shops, live music and events, while CoolToday Park, Spring Training home of the Atlanta Braves, is just minutes away. Historic Downtown Venice, Venice Beach, Caspersen Beach and beautiful Manasota Key are all an easy drive, and Sarasota is close enough for a day of shopping, dining or exploring the arts.

Our personal recommendation? Don’t feel as though you need to fill every day with plans. One of the best parts of staying here is having golf, pickleball, pools, the spa, dining and the Florida sunshine right at your doorstep. Sometimes the perfect day is simply enjoying everything the resort has to offer.
