Our serene pond truly belongs to the beautiful, protected birds residing there, Woodstork Pond Cottage offers a tranquil escape like no other. The egrets, blue herons, woodstorks, ibis, and countless other breathtaking species graciously share their home with us. These majestic birds often come right up to the terrace to join you for sunset or provide delightful entertainment during your morning coffee. Polite, harmless, and charming (thankfully nothing like geese who leave poo everywhere!), they will captivate your heart—and your kids or grandkids will adore them. We even have a family of turtles that surprisingly coexist peacefully in this natural haven.

This thoughtfully designed home features a split floor plan that ensures privacy for all guests. The two en-suite bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the property:

The master bedroom has a big, comfy King bed with direct sliding glass door access to the Pondview Terrace. The guest bedroom features a queen size bed with plenty of closet space.

The property comfortably sleeps 5 people, but for larger groups or kids, we provide electric blow-up beds for guests on request.

The large glass sliding doors pocket away to create seamless indoor-outdoor Florida living. We also have the "Airbeak & Breakfast" our super cool little birdhouse with Wi-Fi. Watch cardinals, blue jays, mourning doves, and other feathered friends as they flit in for a snack. I’ll give you the code so you can stream the birdie show right on your phone, or you can watch live while sipping coffee on the Pondview Terrace. The Airbeak & Breakfast is always serving up joy

The newly remodelled kitchen is fully equipped for your culinary adventures, complete with: Keurig for coffee aficionados, plus a brand-new standard coffee maker for simplicity. An electric kettle for tea lovers, and lots of extras like a steamer, slow cooker, mixer, Instapot, air fryer, and other handy kitchen gadgets.

Pet-Friendly
We welcome your furry family members under 50 lbs! Please note, there is a $100 fee per pet, per stay, as pets often cause more wear and tear than humans.

The Wi-Fi is the fastest available as especially during the baseball season (because we are close to the fields) a lot of businesspeople like to take a working holiday and need the speed. There is also a wireless printer available for your convenience. All codes will be supplied on check-in. Plus, Alexa speakers to hook up to your Spotify or other music application.

ere very comfortable. The lanai faces the pond, and we saw birds, frogs, a large turtle and even an alligator. The lanai is a comfortable place to enjoy your morning coffee, or your evening glass of wine. We were less than 10 minutes from the beach, and Publix and the restaurants and shops on Dearborn St were less than 5 minutes away. We look forward to our next visit!

Stayed a few nights
Susie’s place was perfect and the amenities were unbeatable! She has everything you need to enjoy your time at the house and be set for a day at the beach. She also provided a high chair and pack n play for our little one which we really appreciated! It’s clear Susie truly cares about creating a great experience for her guests. If you’re considering booking, don’t hesitate!

Stayed a few nights
We enjoyed our stay at Woodstork Cottage so much. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt perfectly at home. The cottage is spotless and the decor is charming and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the water birds who greeted us daily. Susie is a wonderful host and attentive and quickly available. I recommend staying and enjoying a little piece of heaven on the west coast of Florida.

We loved Susie’s place. It’s charming, spacious, and had everything we needed and more. The birds in the backyard pond are amazing and come right up to you! We spent several evenings watching them. Easy access to lovely beaches and a fun farmer’s market with good live music! We also rented the PT Cruiser; Susie’s nearby staffer was kind enough to pick us up at the airport. Susie is a fantastic communicator who truly cares that her guests are happy and comfortable at all times.

Neighborhood highlights
"Woodstork Pond Cottage" is on a very quiet little private cul-de-sac in Piccadilly Estates. Four houses own the pond which we share with the beautiful birds who are the boss of all of us. Also in the pond, you may (or may not) see "Elton" our neighborhood alligator. He has a healthy fear of humans, but if he does happen to appear during your stay he is entertaining to watch, but please keep a safe distance and NEVER feed him. The area is secluded but literally just walking distance from supermarkets, banks, restaurants, etc. There are lots of fun activities close by in Englewood and there are brochures in the property with suggestions on entertainment and things to do. A fabulous public swimming pool is just 8 minutes away and is just $3 a day to use. However, you are in Florida and our beaches are gorgeous!
