James S.A super comfortable stay off the beaten path but near to lakes, beaches and delicious food!
The property sits on a spring fed lake and only a 20 minute drive to the beach. Our favorite eating experience was a BBQ place called, The Hideout. This home was comfortable, well kept and relaxing. We picked it on a whim and it was exactly what we hoped. Our host was great and we look forward to going back. Their was just us two on this trip, but plan on bringing friends and family with us the next time. It is wonderfully spacious. And we can't understate how fun the lake is right in the backyard! Great value.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Oak Cottage at Crystal Lake, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. This was my first time flying into Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to navigate. We hired an Uber and it was a quick 30 minute ride from the airport to Crystal Lake.The area is peaceful and quiet. The property itself is stunning, situated on beautiful Crystal Lake with warm water and a private white sand beach. Having the beach right out the back door made it effortless to enjoy the water throughout the day. We could relax in the sun, cool off with a swim or easily slip back to The Cottage for an afternoon nap. The outdoor shower was a thoughtful touch, making it easy to rinse off the sand before heading back inside.Evenings were equally enjoyable, with a great fire pit area perfect for gathering after sunset.The Cottage itself is clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a laidback beach aesthetic that feels both stylish and comfortable. There is plenty of room for multiple generations to stay together without feeling crowded. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment needed to prepare meals and we appreciated the exercise equipment and multiple TVs throughout the house.The Oak Cottage at Crystal Lake is an ideal retreat for anyone looking to unwind by the water. We can't wait to return!
