With 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and dedicated office spaces, the Lakehouse is ideal for guests seeking a peaceful getaway, a seasonal escape, or even a productive remote work environment. The south-facing terrace overlooks the lake, where daily encounters with local wildlife—turtles, herons, ducks, otters, and even the occasional bald eagle—create a true connection with nature. (No alligators here!)
The picturesque McGregor Woods neighborhood, reminiscent of the idyllic “Wisteria Lane,” features mature landscaping, well-kept homes, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Guests also enjoy access to community amenities including a large pool, a basketball court, tennis courts, and a children’s playground.
Please note: due to community regulations, we can offer only one rental per year. This makes The Lakehouse best suited for long-term guests—“snowbirds” or “sunseekers”—looking to stay 2 to 3 months and experience authentic Florida living.

We had a wonderful stay for two months at The Lake House in McGregor Woods—it truly lived up to its description and more. The home is beautifully designed, incredibly spacious, and perfectly set on a peaceful, scenic lake. We especially loved the south-facing lanai where we could relax and enjoy the wildlife—such a special and calming experience.The layout was ideal with comfortable bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, and great spaces to both gather and unwind. It truly felt like a home away from home, whether you’re looking to relax or stay productive in one of the two dedicated workspaces within the home.The neighbourhood was just as lovely. McGregor Woods is quiet, beautifully maintained, and incredibly welcoming. The community pool is newly refreshed and a real highlight—some days we even had it all to ourselves. There are also great amenities like pickleball and tennis and the neighbours were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable.What made the experience truly exceptional was both the rental company and the owners. The rental agency was outstanding—great communication, thoughtful touches (even treats for our dog and us!), and they checked in to make sure everything was perfect.The owners themselves went above and beyond as well. Even while out of the country, they took the time to personally reach out, ensure we were enjoying our stay, and offer helpful suggestions for activities in the area. That level of care and hospitality is rare and very much appreciated.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend both the property and the team behind it to anyone visiting Fort Myers.
