Updated site built home, not manufactured or mobile, that is perfect for a Villages vacation. Walking distance to the pool and hot tub, golf courses, tennis courts and rec centre and a short golf cart ride to multiple other executive and championship golf courses and pickleball courts, horseshoe pits, basketball hoop and multiple community pools. Our home is in the historic Orange Blossom/Silver Lake district which is reputedlly the friendliest Village in all of The Villages. There is an attached garage and we also provide a 2018 Yamaha gas golf cart with seating for either 2 plus golf clubs or 4 persons without. The home has a bright, private lanai with curtains, a very modern kitchen including every utensil and cooking aid you could think of, a beautiful upgraded master bathroom ensuite, 2nd bedroom with hall bathroom including bathtub, very comfortable furniture and wide screen TV with cable and internet included. Only five minutes by golf cart or car to Spanish Springs square for nightly live entertainment and great restaurants and also Publix, Sams Club, Home Depot, Total Wine and every big box store imaginable. Rental is for 28 days minimum.

Area Information

A 55+ golf cart community The Villages is home to more than 125,000 retirees and snowbirds. Made up of 3 main "Squares", each offers nightly live, free entertainment and multiple restaurants and stores. Throughout The Villages are too many community pools and executive golf courses to count. As a "Guest Resident" you will be required to pay $15.00 to play at the Executive Courses while the Championship Courses, depending on the time of day, are generally in the $55 - $85 range. Use of the pools, pickleball courts, tennis courts and rec centres is free to Guest Residents and you never have to travel more than a few minutes by golf cart to find such amenities. It is a clean, beautifully maintained and quiet but very active place to either chill, sunbathe at a pool or get active in almost any activity you can imagine. That is why is The Villages is year after year the fastest growing city in the USA.

Attractions Within Walking Distance

Adult pool (no kids) and hot tub are 4 blocks away. Tennis courts are 8. Silver Lake executive golf course is 8 blocks away as is the Rec Centre where you can play pool or join many, many different clubs from walking to cards to Disney trips. Clubs and activities are too numerous to mention. All of these attractions are accessible by golf cart, which we provide.

Favorite Places To Eat

There is a fabulous seafood restaurant in the Spanish Springs Square as well as a top end Italian restaurant and Mexican restaurant. Also "Americanos" is a top end road house style restaurant with a varied and excellent food. All of these have outdoor seating available which is adjacent to the Square where nightly live entertainment features popular bands playing dance music and popular songs from the 70's through the 2000's. In the shopping area near Publix and a myriad of other shops is a fabulous (a little overused that word) sushi and Japanese Hibachi restaurant called Sakura. It is definitely worth a visit if you love sushi.

A little further away are numerous other restaurants, bars and cafes situated around the "Lake Sumter Square" also featuring live entertainment. Although a little futher away they are still available by golf cart.

Inside Scoop

Prior to arriving apply though the owner (me) for a Guest Resident I.D. card. They cost $50 but will be required to access all the pools, courts and clubs throughout the Villages. They do get asked for by The Villages staff so keep them with you where ever you go.
