Excellent place, great location

We've been coming to long boat key for many years. Steve's place is fantastic and the saltwater pool is great.They have a great backyard view of the bay and are within walking distance of the gulf.Always fun.Thanks!

Perfect home away from home

My husband and I stayed here July 6-13 and absolutely fell in love with this place. The house was clean, spacious (pictures do not do justice) and very inviting. There were plenty of supplies and everything worked properly. We spent a lot of time on the patio and in the swimming pool. The pool was super clean and very relaxing. We loved the neighborhood and took several walks during our visit enjoying the beautiful scenery, charming homes and the occasional peacock that would pass us by.The beach was beautiful and very private. We took advantage of the bay being so close and watched the sunrise from the pier most mornings. The house is in a perfect location, private neighborhood with all the attractions of a beach vacation just a few minutes away. Great communication from the owner. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back.

Very clean, nice, rustic and charming house

We just stayed at this house. This house is charming with rustic looking and clean. It seems bigger than in pictures. Everything is working fine with plenty of supplies. Huge backyard with a big unheated pool for great gathering, including a Weber grill for bbq. The host, Steve, is very tentatively communicating and accommodating if necessary. We had some other family members also rented a nearby Airbnb coming over and Steve was ok with it. The beach and pier is a few of minutes walk, you can do a day fishing out there. Over all, we really enjoyed staying at this place and definitely come back in the future.

Great Pool/Beach House!

We stayed here the week of November 4-11th. My wife and I also brought our two children 5 & 7 and they had an absolute blast! We had an amazing week with the weather and everything was perfect with the house. The kids loved the private pool at the house!! It was a short walk to the charming Mar Vista restaurant. Mar Vista got a lot of business from us

Cozy beach house in great location

I stayed here from June 23-30 2018. I have to say this was probably the best vacation I have been on. This house is in the perfect location, beautiful & quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors. The pier is 2 houses down I walked there every morning watched the sunrise and was greeted by dolphins every morning. Anna Maria island is only 5 minutes away. The house was clean when we arrived. The pictures do no Justice to what it really is, definitely a must. If you're looking for a cozy charming beach house this is the one you want. The owner Steve is very helpful and wonderful to work with. I will definitely be back next year and hopefully every year after that.

Charming Beach Cottage

My family highly recommends this beach cottage. We have been coming to this area for more than a decade and we always stay in Long Boat Key. It’s off the beaten path, less crowded with tourists and minutes away from beautiful beaches and tourist attractions. We stayed in the same beach house for years but it was recently sold and is now unaffordable for our vacationing. Fortunately, we found this little gem while looking for alternatives. We have a family of 6. Our children range from 22 to 6 and we have all enjoyed our stay here. The private pool is a must for us. The kids have loved it. The neighborhood is lovely and we have enjoyed evening walks while the kids ride their bikes. We are three lots from the boat/kyack launch and my boys have enjoyed fishing from the pier there. The restaurant mentioned in the description is adjacent to this pier, as well. The area has a great, relaxing beach vibe. The beach house it’s self is perfect. In all honesty, it was a little smelly when we first arrived but don’t be turned off by that. The AC was off and it’s a damp, tropical area so it’s to be expected. As soon as the air was turned on, the smell weakened. We went into town for groceries and were back within 45 minutes. The smell was completely gone and the house was fresh and cool. We have really enjoyed the comforts and homey feeling. It’s a great space, clean and it has everything you’ll need for a little getaway. The beds are comfy. It’s nicely decorated and the only suggestion we would make is, hooks. We found ourselves needing a place to hang damp towels and swimsuits... maybe some hooks next to the doors and/or Florida room is a good idea. It’s been great having a grill to use and a nicely stocked kitchen with everything needed to prepare and serve meals. The owner had been easy to communicate with and is very pleasant. This trip was rescheduled from last fall when the hurricane hit and power was out for several days, making it unavailable for our visit. He was very good to work with and rescheduling wasn’t a problem on either end. We have pretty high expectations and are picky but we didn’t find anything to be unhappy with here. We are looking forward to returning for our next vacation and we really hope this little sweet spot is available. We would definitely stay here again.
