The Sea Glass Cottage is a fabulous oceanfront home with multiple balconies & decks where you can catch some rays or stay shaded & just enjoy the breezes coming off of the Atlantic. The views are incredible & there is nothing but sand dunes & sea oats between you and the ocean. Your own walk over to the beach puts you at the ocean in minutes & you will enjoy the wide expanse of sand to walk or bike for miles and miles. Early morning sunrises will blow your mind as Mother Nature shows up to amaze! You will love the multiple decks and patios that put you up close and personal with your sensational views. At Sea Glass Cottage, you get a front row seat!
You will find the cottage charming and quaint. The original wood floors give the home a warmth and coziness not found in modern houses. While there are upgrades everywhere, especially in the bathrooms and kitchen, the cottage exudes comfort and makes you feel right at home.
Sea Glass Cottage is right in the center of things happening at the beach. You are just a short stroll from the grocery stores, shops for anything you can imagine, mouthwatering restaurants and hair and nail salons and spas. On the beach just north of here (also a nice walk), you will find the pier which is perfect for fishing or strolling out to see some fish. There are volleyball nets and you can join in a game on most days or bring your own volleyball and strike up a family competition. Miniature golf, bowling, The Alligator Farm and the Lighthouse, which I do suggest you climb for 360 views as far as the eye can see, are all a quick drive away, but still on the island.
You will enjoy the laid-back vibe here at the beach and every Wednesday morning there is a farmers' market in the parking lot by the pier. So many different items for sale, all done, or grown, by local artisans or growers. So many great things to see and buy or a great way to spend a morning just perusing the various items. If you love a good farmers' market, also try the Amphitheater on Saturday mornings. It is huge and most times will have live music to enjoy as you meander past the delectable baked goods, smoothies, pies, and breads. Live plants, paintings, jewelry, and some great souvenir items for those who got left behind on this vacation.
Of course, you must head downtown at least once during your stay. Worldly chefs will tempt your palate with an amazing array of different foods. The history of St Augustine is intriguing, especially when it is right there in front of you, like the fort, or the oldest schoolhouse. The original brick streets and buildings. It is something to see! Take a horse and buggy ride. Or sign up for a pirate ship ride, or a dolphin excursion. The options are limitless and all are such fun.
You will never run out of things to do in St Augustine but one thing is for sure, each day as you return home to Sea Glass Cottage, you will be so grateful that you made the choice to stay here. While the sun sets to the west, you can enjoy the sky from the cottage as one color melds into another.
As the evening wraps up you have a comfortable bed for your slumber and will awaken relaxed, energized and ready for a brand new day. Sea Glass Cottage will not disappoint. This is a place you will want to return again and again. Remember to book fast for your next vacation. This is a hot spot amongst rental properties!

NancyWe absolutely loved our stay at this beach house! From the moment we arrived, everything felt so clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up. The house was spotless and had such a relaxing, coastal vibe — you can tell the owners put a lot of care into keeping it nice for their guests. Every little detail made our stay comfortable, from the well-stocked kitchen to the cozy living spaces. The highlight for us was definitely the rooftop deck! We spent so much time up there enjoying the ocean breeze, watching the sunsets, and listening to the waves. It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee, an evening glass of wine, or just relaxing after a day at the beach. The location couldn’t have been better — just steps from the sand and close to great restaurants and shops, but still quiet enough to feel peaceful and private. We felt completely at home here and didn’t want to leave. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone!! Thank you!! - Nancy

DarronGreat two bedroom house right on the beach in St Augustine. Excellent views from the rooftop deck. A few different local restaurants close by in walking distance. If we are every in the area again, we'd definitely look to stay here.

EileenThe location of this home is perfection! Right at the end of the street near the walkway to the beach. Gorgeous views of the beach from the decks. Outside shower for sandy bodies. Covered deck was great during/ after afternoon storms and we loved the shade on the hotter days. Walking to the beach was easy. Kitchen was well equipped but quirky. Wish the toaster had a handle. Refrigerator was big enough for a large family. This unit is rather dated. Not scoring high on style points. Lots of space for a group to gather. Management was very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our week very much.

Dana E.House is nice a bit outdated in some areas but still nice. Mgmt company was great had a few issues come up and they had maintenance there few hours later to resolve. The master bedroom bed needs a new mattress was very uncomfortable. The location was great and beaches were beautiful. Probably would not vacation there again but only because I like to go to a place i havent been every year. All in all we all enjoyed our stay and ate out breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday at a different place. Restaurant selection is great and all the food was good especially the seafood my fav.

Carol C.Definitely needs updating. Had to clean ice maker to make it work. Missing light bulbs in several places. Had to change light bulb in Master Bath toilet room so you could see. Photo of BR 2 is totally inaccurate. Water pressure in shower downstairs was awful. Several pieces of furniture were in need of repair. Upper deck railing was loose. Rug in living trip is a trip hazard. Great location and beautiful beach, but I don't think I would stay in this house again.

Amy D.Location was amazing! House was very dirty and not clean like the pictures show. Down stairs bedroom floor w the murphy bed did not have air flow and floor was covered with sand. We needed to clean this room too prior to sleeping. Couches have holes on both of them and very dirty - unable to sit on. Smell of the home was mold and even all items brought home have the smell embedded in them. The kitchen floors and cabinet fronts were so dirty with food grime and drips- we had to scrub and clean prior to use. Dishes were put away dirty. If the rental company is contracted to clean- they need a new cleaning company. For the work it took to get this home suitable for my family- I could should bill for cleaning. Also, bugs galore- Roach upon arrival and in the pantry food that was left behind infested and tiny ants covered the kitchen counters. I have rented all over the world and this was our worst experience.

MeganFirst off the location is great! The back decks were beautiful to enjoy and the walk to the beach right there was ideal. We did have issues with the cleanliness of the house (dirty bedding, towels and trash left over). We did contact the host about this and they offered the cleaners to come back, but we did not want the disruption in our our trip so we cleaned ourselves. There was a miscommunication with the listing stating there was four bedrooms when in fact there was three, but the host did offer alternatives (moving us somewhere else, air mattresses) for this but again we were already unpacked and did not want disruption. The host did communicate well with us about these issues which was appreciative but it did make our trip more stressful which is the opposite of what you want on a beach vacation. All in all I believe they will fix these issues in the future and the location is beautiful.

MabelYou can't beat the location....right next to the walkway to the beach. The place was clean, very homey. We're a family of 6 (3 tween girls and a preschooler boy) and everyone slept comfortably. The only thing I noticed, and we didn't really care, was that there were some things that were barely hanging on and when you touched them, they fell apart (bathroom decorative statue, living room blinds, to name a couple). Overall, would definitely come back.

JoanneLocation is everything. This place has it all. We went 4th of July. Our connection to the property was superb. She came and showed us how to use the dryer. There are some things that are a little run down. The balcony and the veranda need some work but overall, we were pleased and are looking forward to many more trips to this local.

StacyThe day was full of a lot of worries that should’ve never been. We waited for the company that owns the house to come fi Positive: I am requesting one 600 Night stay back 400 Cleaning fee 150 for the food that was no longer good at refrigerator issue Negative: The place was not clean, I actually have pictures of dead roaches in the windowsills that they have not cleaned out upon staying we realized that the refrigerator was going bad. The toilet on the down level ran the whole time that we were there.. there is no water pressure on the second level so everybody has to use the shower on the first level. The furniture as you can read previous reviews most of it is broken . The kitchen is not equipped for cooking all the pot are nasty . I have several pictures . I also contacted the property several times . No resolution they did not work with you..

WilliamA fantastic place and super clean! Can't beat the price and location. The communication with the staff was great too. There are a few things that might need to be looked into, but not worth subtracting a star. There seemed to be a lot of lights out or we just couldn't figure out how to turn them on. The chandelier in the stairwell only had 1 working bulb and we couldn't figure out how to turn on the light in the master shower. Also, the controller for the TV in the masterbed room didn't work for volume. plus the TV downstairs in the twin bed room didn't light up when turned on. couldn't tell if the tvs display was dead or loose connection. you could hear it though. But despite all that, we had a great time. if we wanted to watch TV that badly we wouldn't be at the beach. Definitely check it out and you won't be disappointed. would definitely come back.

Edward C.The location is perfect! You definitely pay for the view. The house needs lots of updates. We covered the furniture before sitting on it! Recliner in the corner has an arm that falling off… unusable! Little things need replaced or repaired! Main bedroom has queen bed and definitely has room or a king. Tried to open curtains and it almost fell off the wall! Window locks broken. I feel it was overpriced! Will do more research before renting for a month next year!

Robert I.The location and the views were great. Lots of good, local restaurants within walking distance. It wasn't perfect. The interior of the house could use some TLC. Needs a new coffee maker for instance.Overall, the location and view more than make up for any of the interior deficiencies. Would rent again without hesitation.

SharonThe house was decorated in my favorite colors (Blue and Green), was clean and located near some great restaurants ($$) . We made use of the well planned kitchen for breakfast, lunch and a couple of dinners. Some pans need to be changed out but we had what we needed. The best thing I loved was the most gorgeous beach that was just right past the dunes and a wonderful covered porch on which to view the the dunes and the ocean. The claw bath tub and large shower in the Master suite was a big hit. Bring bathroom disinfectant and extra detergent to wash bath towels for the number is limited. There is a Publix just around the corner with great customer service. This house is definitely in the best location for beach and attractions.

BriannaWe enjoyed the location immensely! Close to the beach and a few delicious restaurants that were close by. The house is comfortable, although there is some very obvious wear on things such as the rooftop deck patio furniture, the grill, and corn hole boards. The DVD player is also broken, and the main living room tv didn’t work for streaming or cable services. We were very excited to be so close to the beach, and it was beautiful, but we were disappointed in the beach situation. It was our first time in St. Augustine, and we weren’t aware that it is a beach cars are allowed to drive on. So the hopes of having a great spot on the beach anytime we wanted was not the case. Cars can drive up and park there for much cheaper than paying to have a beach house. There was a constant stream of cars driving and parking, which added stress with our young kids playing, an experience we haven’t had at the beach. It’s an important thing to consider when planning to visit St. Augustine.

GlennOverall the place was the perfect spot. If given the opportunity I would stay again. We were not able to get TV’s to work. The grass was overgrown inside fence area. The banana tree needs to be cut back some so you can walk easily to back yard space.

FireThe location is fantastic. Stand on one of the two decks and watch the waves, walk to beach from the front door, this house is on the dunes, as close to the beach as one can get. St. Augustine Beach is a fun community, surf shops and restaurants are easy walks from the house and Historic St. Augustine is just a 10 minute car ride. One suggestion- It looks like the TVs are set up with direct tv, but good luck figuring out how to get the satelitte tv on. I recommend having a written direction sheet in front of the television explaining how to work the satelitte tv. This was not a major issue because we were busy doing the beach, but still it would be nice if there were directions for the tv.

Melissa H.Great location but the older unit needs a little facelift. I know you pay for location but at this $ amount you expect a little more than worn furniture, mismatched dishes, and OLD electronics. The dvd player wouldn’t work and since the TV wasn’t a Smart TV we couldn’t even stream our Dish app. Over 4 days never figured out the 4 old remotes or the DirectTV that had no local channels & mostly PPV movies. The upper deck (widow walk) furniture is mostly unusable but The main deck was ok.

RichardThe location and ocean views were terrific. The beach was great. The area had plenty of restaurants and access to downtown. The house itself shows a lot of wear and deferred maintenance- I.e. kitchen, baths, outside upper deck.

Brenda Z.The location is amazing - on the beach with ocean views from two levels of comfortable balconies. Close to the fort, food and fun. The Cottage is comfortable for both people and pets. Two families with kids could easily enjoy and have plenty of room. Saw turtles, sharks and shells.

LorenThe good news first - The location, deck views and beach access are great, as advertised. If you have pets this might be a great spot for you as the furnishings are in rough condition, so you won’t be worried about your pets ruining them. The not so great news - The place just did not feel clean. All the linens were old and worn. The bathmats were dingy and I honestly didn’t trust that they were washed between guests. Also, don’t expect any welcoming amenities - even basics. There was no bath soap, shampoo, or hairdryer. A Keurig coffee maker, but no pods in the holder. No clean kitchen sponges, no dishwasher soap, etc. Be prepared to bring absolutely everything. On the upside, when we called because the TV wasn’t working, they sent a nice woman who spent an hour trying to fix it (unfortunately, she was unable to get it working). She was kind enough to return later with a couple of bars of soap for us - so there’s that.

SusanWe had a wonderful stay at Sea Glass Cottage. The location is fabulous, near restaurants and historic St Augustine. The beach is beautiful and clean. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the ocean. The house is comfortable and a good size. Beds are comfortable. Loved having a washer and dryer. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare our breakfasts and lunches. It was great just hopping on the walkway and over the dune to the beach. Our family would love to rent this beachfront home again in years to come!

JamesThe upstairs entrance to the staircase didn't have a landing which I thought was dangerous. We loved the location and views. The upstairs tv equipment didn't work; however, I did not notify the host, so I am not complaining. The place is very spacious with comfortable furniture.I would recommend staying at this place.

CraigIt’s a fantastic location but the house itself and amenities were lacking. There were a number of things that needed fixing. The boogie boards were all broken, beach chairs were broken and the hose to rinse off with was rusted with sharp metal hanging off.
