Treat yourself to one-of-a-kind vacation experience offered by the elegant & spacious St. Augustine Rose. Wake up to the sound of the ocean waves and start your morning with a gorgeous sunrise from one of the two decks looking out at the Atlantic Ocean. Go for a refreshing swim in the private pool in the back of the house, take a stimulating swim in the ocean just steps away from the house, or go exploring the city on the famous trolley tour. At night, go out exploring the local cuisine or gather round the large dining table for a family meal. You will find so much to do in the Ancient City of St Augustine!
This home, St Augustine Rose, is lovely and so comfortable and tastefully done. There is an abundance of space and you will find it so convenient being so close to all you need and yet totally private in this lovely residential neighborhood. With the beach just a short walk away you will find yourself spending a lot of time there. But the views change daily depending upon when the dolphin are jumping, or the turtles are hatching, or what beautiful seashells the waves have landing at your feet. With the sunshine and refreshing salty sea breezes kissing your cheeks, the Gulls flying overhead and the Pelicans who fly in an exact straight-line overhead, you never know what you will find down at the sandy shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean. There are literally miles of shoreline to explore.
To the north you will find the St Augustine Pier and to the south, Matanzas inlet. In between, as you meander up to A1A, you will find restaurants and many shops. To the north try the Beachcomber that sits right upon the sand serving local style island food and many crazy island drinks. You do know that when you stay at St Augustine Rose you are on a beautiful Island right? Yes! Anastasia Island is amazing and bordered by the Intracoastal Waterway to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Sand dunes covered in dune daisies and sea oats border between the homes and the seashore. Native bunnies and tortoises live there and it is such a delight when you spot one. There is also a beach mouse that is protected, but I personally have never seen one! They stay in the grasses and are not interested in houses at all.
So come and visit St Augustine Rose. She is a fabulous place to stay and play. Book your beach vacation today and have the vacation of your life. Climb a lighthouse, visit the Alligator farm. Attend the Farmers Market on Saturday morning at the Amphitheater and gather your treasures to take back home with you. Or pick up some of the fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables they have for sale there to cook for dinner. The local art is fascinating and there is live music playing and people dancing. It is a most wonderful farmers market and such a cool and fun thing to do! There are museums and boat tours, and downtown there are buggy rides and ghost tours. Your days will be filled with unique adventures and you will have these memories for a lifetime.
Come to St Augustine Rose and let us spoil you a little... or maybe a lot. Let us show you what a true vacation should be. One that you will never ever forget.

Anna M.We had our family vacation here with 3 couples, teens, small children and a 1.5 year old. We have been coming to St. Augustine for years and we love the area, especially Butler beach. This house was really close to the beach and could accomodate all of us. However, the house itself was not like the listing made it seem. The pool was smaller than it seems in the pictures. And the oustide needs quite a bit of updates like new furniture in the pool patio because they were really stained and worn, and the handrail on the outside stairs was broken. In the bedrooms, there was a lot of dust under the beds, baseboards, and on the ceiling fans. And in the kitchen we saw mold in the fridge water dispenser and the bottom of the dishwasher. Also, you get charged for "extras" like using the beach items, baby playpen, high chair and baby bathtub. No other house we have rented here has charged extra for any of that. Overall, we had a great time, but the house could definitely use a good cleaning and upkeep.

Jennifer M.The house was very nice with lots of room for our group of 9 to spread out. We did have some issues such as no WiFi & an ant infestation. The property management company was quick to respond & get our problems taken care of. The private pool was great & we loved that it was a short walk to the beach. The furniture does show some wear & a few of the outdoor cushions need to be replaced but the beds were comfy & the house was clean.

JudyThe house is nice. There needs to be some updating done and the cleaning could be a little better. Kitchen was not very clean but we just cleaned it before we put any of our things in there. Word of warning, read description carefully. Kitchen, living room, master and balcony with hanging chairs are on the 3rd floor. The elevator would be helpful for getting luggage and groceries up to the top floor but it is not available to guests. The view is great and you can hear the beach from the balcony. Easy walk to the beach and is within 10-20 minutes of St. Augustine depending on traffic. Overall, great place for a large group but do not recommend for families with small children.

Tom B.This property was grossly mischaracterized in the listing. The photos of the property were misleading, at best. Pool was coated with green algae on the sides. We requested, and were charged, for a heated pool. The heat was turned on on our second afternoon there, and it lasted for 24 hours before the power went out for 3 hours. The pool heat never came back on but, for those 24 hours of heat, it got up to 96 degrees. There were just so many things wrong with this property and the listing. There were photos of gas log in the fireplace but no gas. It's been disconnected. The pool furniture has rusted through on the legs so they're not usable. There is no closet in the master bedroom. There are no clocks in the house. There are no lamps in the living room. The living room furniture was covered with slipcovers and the sofa arm was missing it's padding. The freezer drawer required a power lifter to yank it open. The veranda furniture cushions were mashed and grossly soiled. In my opinion, this listing needs big time help. I will steer clear of this one in the future.

Joe S.The house was nice. Some things needed some attention but overall was great. The weather was cold for the beach so we thought the pool would come in handy but it was also too cold. Some miscommunication with the property owners contributed. Make sure correspondence with them has been made before your trip. Short walk to beach that was not crowed at all. Beds were comfy. Overall great experience.

BreannaThis place is great! There was some trouble getting in upon arrival, the locks were unresponsive due to low battery so we did have to call and get that sorted; however, the staff was responsive and did answer our call at 11 pm. The house itself is wonderful- the only caveat is that you have to pre-order the heated pool? The visitor’s manual states a $150 fee to heat the pool prior to your stay, I was unaware and did not order this thinking it was pre-included. Either way, it’s Florida, the pool is warm. Overall it’s a great, clean house, and within walking distance to everything you’d need- (beach, food, etc.)

MichaelVery nice place to stay with family and friends , be ready to go up and down the stairs many times a day. The location was great if you want to stay close to the beach , but a little far from Historic Old Town. Overall we really liked staying at this Home.

TatyanaThe rental property is not terrible there were just a too many mishaps that were less than ideal. There were lots of spiders and roaches that were found on our stay. We had no hot water, maintenance had to come out and check and when they confirmed it, we were told there was nothing they could do during our stay. The pool also was not heated and when asked about it, we did not receive a response. These are all fixable issues. The property and location itself were fine. Walking distance to beach.

LarryHouse was great, clean, and as expected. Close enough to get to town for fun activities but far enough out that we had privacy. Beach was never over crowded and even in “high surf” never a rip-tide concern for our kids. Pool was a little small but not an issue for our 4 kids after a long day at the beach. Would rent again.

Sarah H.We had a great stay here! The large kitchen table, front porch swings, quantity of bath and beach towels, and enclosed pool were some of our favorite features. There was a hiccup with the baby package items being left in a locked closet, but property management was very prompt in their response. We hope to stay here again soon!

Scott S.We had three families come from across the US and everyone loved the house. Great space and a fantastic location. The walk to the beach was easy and the pool was refreshing when we needed it. The common space in the house was great for the 10 of us and we loved sitting on the upstairs porch and swings. Would definitely recommend this house. Communication was great with the property management and the whole stay was easy and fun!

Joanne H.The property was amazing, we loved our stay.Very nice location, close to the beach and amazing sunset and sunrise from the top balcony.Kitchen fully stocked with things to cook a good meal.Pool was great. We had a nice vacation with our three kids, their spouses and 5 grandchildren.Feedback: Bunk beds are double sized beds and couches look like they pull out but the property management staff said they are not pullout couches.

Sarah P.This house was PERFECT for a getaway with our friends and family. With 6 adults and 3 kids, there was more than enough space to spread out and not feel cramped. We didn’t have to share bathrooms, the kitchen had plenty of space fo cook and gather, and we had so many location options to lounge and relax. The pool was perfect for the kids- they would have just been content playing there for the entire stay haha! The beach is EASILY accessed by foot..when they say 4 minute walk, they mean it. And it’s a big beautiful white sandy beach to play and catch some sun. We had everything we needed, and the house is SO close to everything. Only a 15 min drive to historic St Augustine, plenty of grocery options, restaurants, and everything in between just minutes away. We had so much fun and it was exactly what we hoped for.

MichelleExcellent place to book for a family vacation. Very close walking distance to the beach and a great kid-friendly pool for the days you want to stay in. We appreciated the substantial amount of beach towels available to use. There were some dusty windowsills behind the bed and the dishwasher worked but isn’t the best so dishes need to be rinsed before putting them in. Didn’t stop us from using the kitchen and grill area every day. It’s also very close to the grocery store and a number of coffee shops. Would definitely recommend.

ElizabethWe enjoyed our stay at the St. Augustine Rose Ocean home. The home was as described with the beach walkable and the pool with heating option, which we utilized often! Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and temperatures were colder than normal, but we had an amazing time during our stay for Thanksgiving. We did reach out to the management company on several occasions and they were always very responsive. I would consider staying here again in the future.

CourtneyThe property was in an excellent location and very close to the beach! We had some problems when we got there - the pots/pans were not in good shape and the furniture was broken and dirty. I notified the Proper Group and the next day we had a box of new pots and pans! That was unexpected but very nice. One night we were going to use the grill and it was broken and unusable and it just happened that they were stopping by to check on the pool and they went to the store and bought a new grill and furniture covers from the couches and sofas. Again, that was unexpected and nice! The outside patio and back was overgrown so we did not use it. While most of the problems were remedied while we were there, I felt like much of it could have been avoided if someone would have checked out the property prior to our arrival. Overall it was a good experience but for that price I would expect things to be in better condition from the beginning.

JoeWe loved the house and had a great experience!Very spacious, easy walk to the beach, and The Proper Group was very responsive and helpful. The beach package was definitely worth it. Loved that the pool was screened in which keeps the bugs out!

Tracy S.We very much enjoyed our time at the St. Augustine Rose. We gave it a 4/5 just cause there’s room for improvement in very minor areas, but overall the property is true to the listing. The location is great with a 2min walk to beach access. The beach is beautiful! Sandy beach that is combed of shells with refreshing ocean water. We had a tide pool that was the best kiddie play area we could ask for and our older kids loved boogie boarding in the waves. We loved the pool that was treated perfect and felt clean without burning our eyes and skin from chemicals. Downtown was about a 20 min drive and was very interesting and charming. A couple of suggestions for the property itself; a quick power wash of the pool and screened in area would make a big difference. Covers for the screened in area furniture- we were not able to use the furniture since it rained on on our first day and they stayed damp for the whole week. Cushions should probably be replaced soon as there were many stains. The driveway is at at least a 45 degree angle so my family members car kept getting scrapped pulling into and out of the driveway. Those of us with SUV’s had no problem but had to use our emergency break due to the extreme slope. The ice maker on the fridge was broken but the water dispensed nice cold filtered water. The inside was very nice and updated. Kitchen was updated and fully stocked. Living rooms and bedrooms were comfy. Overall very happy!

AbbyWe had trouble getting into the house when first arriving, the door lock was a bit fussy and would relock immediately after unlocking. We arrived on a Thursday evening and when we saw the pool in the morning, we were disappointed. It had yet to be cleaned, had objects in the pool, trash left around the pool area, sand in the pool, and globs of hair floating around in the water. The house needs updating for the price I paid, in my opinion. The grill was also filthy when we went to use it - full of grime and maybe some rust.Overall, we felt the house lacked cleanliness and comfort. However, it was able to house 9 of us, had a functional kitchen (although also fussy dishwasher), was a quick walk to the beach, and the property management was responsive when we informed them of the issues. The property management company was responsive when I immediately informed them of all the things and resolved the pool cleanliness issue, and tried to fix the lock with new batteries.

Barbara A.Had to involve the management company too many times for items such as wrong entry code upon arrival, broken bed, missing coffee pot, empty propane tank. Additionally, to charge to rent beach chairs when you are walking distance to the beach is absurd. I have been renting beach homes for decades and never have been charged. Also, please note… if your house says sleeps 15, have 15 beach towels, 8 doesn’t work. All in all, the management company was very responsive and took care of things on a timely basis.

HeatherMy family (my husband, myself, 3 young children and my mother) were in town to visit my Mother in Law and rented the house for a week. The house was as described and spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable. The master shower was a treat, and the ocean view was perfect while having breakfast in the morning.Even with the pool heated, it was still a little chilly a couple of the days, but the kids did not mind at all (of course :)By the second day the house completely won me over and felt like home. We will definitely stay here again - in fact we wanted to extend our stay this trip but it was completely booked. The most important thing to note was how responsive the management team was. We had a few small issues and they were VERY responsive, accommodating, helpful and went above and beyond to help. Yes, the house is run by a property group and not a Mom and Pop Owner, and that usually makes me wary- but my experience with them was 10/10.

JenniferWe booked the stay for a sort of mini family reunion since the pandemic. We had six adults and two infants, and there was plenty of space for all. We loved that each couple got a king bed, and there were extra bedrooms for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of seating in the family gathering room. In the elevator was clutch! It was about a five minute walk to the beach, and easy to get to. Parking was easy as well, even with more than two cars.

Sharon F.We rented this property for a family reunion and also to experience the Night of Lights. The house is set up exactly like it is shown in the pictures as far as number of beds. However the common areas are a little bit smaller than expected. We loved sitting on the upstairs porch where you could hear the waves and see the ocean. The kitchen is a very nice size and made it easy to cook for a large group. We also enjoy the fire pit and the heated pool. The downstairs covered area had moldy cushions and look like it needed to be cleaned. But other than that the rest of the property was very nice and well-kept. Our only real complaint is the sheets on the beds were very uncomfortable. But otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!

GinnyThe house is in an amazing location a couple of blocks away from the beach. It was clean and nicely decorated. We had a family reunion of 15 of and the layout of the house worked great to fit us all and provide some privacy. We really appreciated the attention to detail on some of the little things like the games, kitchen supplies, beach towels and pool toys. Thanks for a great time!

TrishGreat location and very easy access to the beach. The property was very spacious and clean and worked well for our large family. The kids really enjoyed the pool. The beach and baby rental packages were great additions for our stay. We had a slight issue at check in but the owner of the Proper Group reached out directly and handled it. That is superior customer service. Thank you!

SinéadWe really enjoyed our stay; incredibly relaxing and the house met all our needs! The location is great for a beach getaway with easy access to downtown St. Augustine via 20 minute car ride (we had cars with us, but also found ubers/lyfts to be very reasonably priced and easy to get). The house is along the same road as the neighborhood beach access/dune walkover, which made walking to and from the beach quick and easy. We were a large group of 11 friends in our 30s; so everyone having comfortable bedspace was important to us, and this house filled that need! We all slept comfortably. The deck space and pool were used daily! We even ambitiously bought wood for the firepit, but it ended up being a bit too hot to put on a fire. Overall, would recommend-- great spot for family or friends!

KathleenI have been in many ABNB homes and this one TOPS THE LIST. The property was IMMACULATE and I don't usually use such decisive words. The home had everything and the lay out was so conducive for big families - the carport area next the pool has a great table, nice seating and a fan. The pool is somewhat smaller than anticipated but it still was great. You will not be disappointed. The place has an elevator which was great for us as my niece is handicapped. It was such a huge benefit.

LindsayWe enjoyed staying at this beach house with our family. House has a screened in pool, fire pit, and backyard which is really nice for kids. The beach is only a block away with easy beach access. There is an extra fee to use baby items like a crib or high chair and also an extra fee if you want to use their beach chairs and wagon. There is an elevator that is nice for getting groceries up to the second floor kitchen. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
