Great location, coffee shop and restaurant all within walking distance of the house. Beautiful views of the ocean and beach access across the street.

No windows or floors have been cleaned. The sliding doors barely work. The caulk is missing in MB tub and drain is clogged. Tiles hanging over balconies need to be replaced with something else. One fell when we were there. Paint the doors and weedeat outside.

I had a wonderful day with a group of childhood friends. All of us had the perfect accommodations. The house itself was wonderfully kept. But my goodness that view was breathtaking off the third floor. Ever since leaving I’ve had dreams of going back. I cannot wait for my next stay.

This property is in an amazing location with great access to the beach right across the street. The ocean view from the third floor is great. There was plenty of room for our family of six to sleep and enjoy our stay.

Location is great and house is nice. Says 3 bedrooms but only two actual bedrooms. One bed is located in a small space under the stairs that would only really fit a small child. Maintenance and cleaning could be better. Yard overgrown with weeds and not maintained well. No gas grill like in the photos only a rusted charcoal grill. Floors needed to be swept and mopped better and we found candy under one of the nightstands in the bedroom. With a little more maintenance and cleaning I would recommend since the location is so close to the beach and the place is nice.

The place was beautiful, cozy and we all felt right at home. The view from the balconies are perfect. The neighborhood is quite, beach access is right across the street. Didn't have to go far for anything. Will rent this place again next summer!

Nice house needs some maintenance before renting out again. Positive: This was a nice house, but needs a some attention. Negative: Air conditioning was not working when we arrived. It took 3 calls and 3 hours later to get a response. No resolution that night. I had to call back the next day, just to be told that it would not be fixed that day. I had to request a call a call from the owner to get any resolution on the second day. It was 80 degrees in the house. Continued issues with the air all week. Maintenance people there all but 2 days during our stay. The house had a nice view but the windows were dirty. There was mold and loose caulking hanging in middle bathroom tub. My daughter woke up one morning with her bed soaking wet from the air conditioner leaking through the ceiling.Electronic door lock batteries went dead and was locked out of house before check out time on the last day.

Great location! Wonderful views! 6 of us stayed here for a a girls week and had a great time! The place was very clean and the washer and dryer did come in handy. Lots of stairs but we knew that prior and welcomed the exercise to offset the vacation food we were eating. :) Amenities were sufficient just wish they had more gravity chairs (2) for the patio for amount of ppl the place sleeps. Communication was quick, courteous and very accommodating. Beds were comfortable as well. We had a great week here!

We needed a place to stay while in town for work at the Speedway. The house worked out perfectly. We enjoyed walking to breakfast every morning. Would stay again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay at stairway to heaven. The view of the water from every floor is excellent, and my seven year old enjoyed the little captains quarters as his room. Be sure to bring a sleep mask for the master bedroom if you don’t want to wake up with the sun (although it was very beautiful). We really appreciated that we could walk to our favorite breakfast joints. It’s a great location away from the late night bars but still walkable to a lot of great restaurants. No complaints! The rental group was very responsive and helpful. Check in was simple, and the check out requirements were simple and few which we really appreciated since we had a super early flight to catch.

Very easy to find and walkable to restaurants and the beach. The house and surrounding area were clean, quiet and felt safe. We loved how well the house was furnished, especially the beach towels and beach chairs! The master bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels available.

Pros - Great location facing the ocean, allowed pets, clean, lots of towels, beautiful views, comfortable beds (even the pullouts), clean hot tub, responsive host. My 12 y/o son loved the "Captains Quarters" mini bedroom under the stairs for sleeping. The kitchen was nice and clean and mostly had what we needed. Cons - lack of attention to detail, unlike photos only one lounge chair, fire pit filled with old cigarette butts, broken rusted charcoal grill with wet bag of briquettes and lighter fluid by front door, front door did not unlock so we had to go around the back of house to use front yard area (property manager was very responsive and offered to send someone to fix, but I declined), random pile of pavers next to back door (tripped over at night), not stocked well with shampoo/body wash, ants in kitchen. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay, but a little more attention to detail (especially exterior and pest control service) would go a long way to making this a five star rating.

The house was really lovely! We loved the location. The size of the house was wonderful! Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but I didn't mind. The view from the 3rd floor is FANTASTIC! When I think of a "pet friendly" rental, I am assuming there is grass for a pet to go to the bathroom. This "yard" was FULL OF SAND SPURS! I felt just awful that I had to get sharp stickers out of our pets' feet... we haven't experienced that before. People need to be aware of that. Also, the room under the stairs is QUITE SMALL. I think a child might like to sleep there, and think it's really awesome. It is not a room for an adult...there is a couch that pulls out and a Murphy bed upstairs. Would I rent this house again? ABSOLUTELY! I just wouldn't take any pets.

Beautiful location and beautiful house. Home has everything you’ll need while on vacation. Beds are comfortable. The home is very spacious. There is a big outdoor space with lots of parking. The host is very responsive. Even though the kitchen is on the third floor, they have a almost full kitchenette on the bottom floor which is very convenient.We went in May 2023 and many of the beach walkovers are still closed from 2022 hurricane damage. We had to go about 3-4 blocks south to get on the beach.We walked to Beach Belly Bobs and Oceanside Bar and Grille, they were both delicious! We fell in love with Flagler! We also recommend trying the Flagler Winery and Turtle Shack!We went to Burlow Creek State Park, Burlow Plantation Ruins and Betty Steflik State Park. All three had beautiful hiking trails with Natural Florida Beauty on display.We’ll definitely be back!!

Overall this property was nice. The house was well stocked with lots of towels, soaps, kitchen condiments, etc. The backyard definitely didn’t look like the pictures and the upper balcony had lots of rust damage. I wish we knew ahead of time that the walkways to the beach were closed due to hurricane damage. Several locals said they probably won’t be fixed anytime soon. All the close by restaurants were great. The house was located in a quiet part of Flagler Beach. Overall it was a nice trip.

Love the location, close to restaurants and can cross A1A to get to the beach. Unfortunately all the walkovers to the beach were closed and we did not know this prior to our stay. Luckily we had friends staying at Beverly beach so we could have a few beach days. Property manager was great and very responsive!

Beautiful place. We probably wouldn't stay at this exact place again due to the stairs. The house is 3 levels and the kitchen/living room on top floor which is AWESOME for the view but with a husband with some health issues it was difficult. As for The Proper Group - I would definitely work with them again as they were awesome. They responded within minutes of a few little things we needed help with.

I had a few problems with this stay. First, the water heater stopped working. The host sent someone to fix it within about five hours, but strangely said the problem was just that it had been turned it off. The bigger problem was that internet went out on the second day and did not come back, which means the TVs stopped working too.The thing that bothered me most about this though is that the host lied to me about the cause of the internet not working, saying it was because the "cables were not buried deep enough" and that "the whole area" has unreliable internet. As someone with a degree in engineering, this is nonsense. Our in-laws who live nearby and have the same ISP have never had a problem. When I connected directly to the router with a cable to my laptop, I saw that the connection was not totally off, but had been throttled to a slow speed (128 kbps), suggesting that the host had cheap service that had been throttled at the end of the month.

"Stairway to Heaven" was an excellent option for my colleagues Daytona 500 weekend work trip. The house was close enough to the action without the hassle of the overcrowded and overpriced hotels. There are two full baths in the home and a couple of sleeping quarters that were in common areas but that didn't present a problem for the group. The stairs are narrow, but a lightweight dumbwaiter has been installed to help get groceries from the first floor to the kitchen on the third floor. The homeowner is transparent about the arrangements so there were no surprises when we arrived and ultimately was a very comfortable home for our stay. Overall, this is a very clean property and would book again for a small group.

We had a great stay. It was a beautiful house in a great location. The only deceiving thing was the one “bedroom” was under the stairs so really tiny. It worked for our 11 year old but anyone bigger would definitely have a problem.

Stairway to Heaven is a beautifully decorated, modern home with great views and a private, quiet location.Beds were very clean and comfortable, even the Murphy bed on the top floor and the sofa bed on the bottom floor. The layout makes privacy challenging since all but 2 beds are in common areas, but the listing accurately represents the layout. My daughter saw a big spider in the Captain’s quarters under the stairs and wouldn’t sleep there, but it would have been a third semi-private sleeping area. (It’s FL - bugs happen! But that was the only one we encountered.)Beach access is so easy and convenient, and even in late June, there were never more than a few families on the beach during the day. The quiet beach days were amazing!The location is hard to beat. It’s between to Daytona and St Augustine for restaurants and activities, but you get to enjoy uncrowded beaches that you can’t find elsewhere.The grandparents were challenged to go up and down the stairs since the home is so tall and narrow. If you struggle physically, there are many stairs to navigate, so keep that in mind. The steps are made of beautiful stone but feel very steep - so be careful!The front sand pictured has been replaced with white “lava” type rocks, but the photos aren’t updated on the listing. Be sure to have shoes on because they are sharp. If you have small kids, don’t expect to have sand on property for them to play in. The remaining sand by the road is filled with weeds and sand spurs. We wished the landscaping had been a little better maintained.It would be nice to have comfortable furniture on the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. The modern benches out there aren’t made for comfort or relaxation, but we still found ways to enjoy the balconies. The sliding glass doors need some attention since they are a little corroded and difficult to open.The hot tub looked nice and worked but we couldn’t bring ourselves to get in with the June outdoor temps.Overall, this is a wonderful listing and location. We would return again (without the grandparents or small dogs to navigate the stairs).

Unique property, perfect location directly across the street from the beach with easy access. Absolutely lovely view of the ocean from the balconies. We loved the layout of the home which allowed my husband, parents, and father-in-law to spread out and relax. The outdoor patio was perfect, we enjoyed sitting at the table and talking in the afternoon. Hot tub was also a nice feature. House was clean and well maintained. We appreciated the quick response from The Proper Group and would definitely consider staying at one of their properties in the future.

Does not have 4 bedrooms, only has 2 real bedrooms rest are pull out beds and 1 of the rooms is under stairs that only a child could stay in. Other then that great place to stay close to the beach. And a very relaxed location.

what an amazing experience!! We had such a great staycation for my 30th birthday. this place truly has it all. From the amazing views on every level of the house to the attention to detail put into the house to truly provide a one of a kinda stay. we will definitely be staying here in a the near future.
