About the host: Grew up in Ohio, lived in S. Florida for 13 yrs but I always wanted to own a home in the Keys.... so I bought one in 2009. A few years later we had a business with 5 great waterfront homes in Marathon, FL. All of our homes have the a few things in common that you won't find in all homes in the Keys:
1. Unobstructed water views (not a canal home)
2. Easy access deep water docks for you boat
3. Kayaks & Bikes
4. Well maintained with modern furnishing and decor.
Why this property? Open Gulf view in very quiet part of Marathon. Walling distance to the historic 7-Mile Bridge, my favorite restaurant/bar Lazy Days for happy hourr or dinner, and a the 7 Mile Bar & Grille for breakfast. Lastly is the most convenient boating location whether you like the Ocean or the Gulf - a quick shot under the 7 Mile Bridge and your ocean side with easy access to bait and fuel or the Sunset Bar & Grille

Great ‘Girls’ Vacation
Well appointed home with fabulous views! We were lucky enough to see Grouper, Barracuda and Angel Fish from the dock area. A pleasant surprise was us seeing a small pod of Dolphins go by as well. This home is very close to supermarkets and other attractions which also made our stay relaxing and most enjoyable.

Thank you for the nice review!
Great times and a beautiful place.
Awesome place to stay with a beautiful pool and nice jacuzzi. The place was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the kitchen cookware. The plastic spatulas were really flimsy and difficult to work with and the pots and pans could have been a little nicer. we did make the kitchenware work for us though, it just took a little more time.

Thank you for your review. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay.Unfortunately, we have to resort to plastic cooking utensils for everything but the grill. (metal cooking utensils get used on the wrong surfaces and damage the pans).
Perfect location for watching sea life and sunsets
This was our second stay at this location. The owner and manager are very responsive and friendly. We had perfect views of rays, dolphins, sharks, manatees, fish and sunset views that can’t be beat. Close enough to the bridge for morning walks/runs and restaurants in walking distance. Paddle boarding and snorkeling right off the break wall. The pool is the cherry on top! Will definitely return and recommend.

Hi Anita, Thank you for staying with us again. Keep in touch. Best regards, Joe & Mary
Nice place to warm up!
Centrally located, nice home. We visited in January and it sounded silly to heat the pool, but it was so worth it. Quiet location. Multiple balconies were very nice.

Perfect Spot for Boaters
On the Gulf but so close to the Atlantic, location is key when spending so much time on the water and this place has it. After changing spots each summer we stopped after renting the house on 12th and 2018 was our 7th year here. No worries about wet clothing, feet or equipment - the first floor offers plenty of room to store all your gear. We love that each bedroom has it's own bathroom (whoever gets the 2nd floor bedroom in our group also gets that bathroom). The beds are comfortable and the A/C kicks butt! After being on the water all day in the heat of summer coming back to the pool is welcoming - tip for people driving; we bring a canopy which helps keep the water a little cooler (we learned that from the neighbors our 1st year). Just a few cool things; every night we take a flashlight and shine it on the rocks to the south, look for a blue spot....octopus. Never a night where we cannot find one. My daughter has spent many unsuccessful years trying to hold one. If there is a distant lightening storm, watch it, how often do you see that on open water from the safety of a house? The "Mile 7 Grill" has the BEST Key Lime Pie, their A/C does not kick butt lol. The BEST dinner (they will cook your catch) is "Lazy Days South" right across US1. Visit the "Sea Turtle Hospital" which is just down the road, but make a reservation!!!

Thank you for the nice review. See you next year.
Fantastic vacation spot!
We LOVE this place! Beautiful furnishings, everything you could need in the kitchen and bath areas. The downstairs has a convenient place to put your beach and fishing equipment. The back area is huge and has a fabulous view where you can catch a variety of fish right off the dock. We were there shortly after a hurricane so the water was still murky, but cannot wait to stay again at one of their other places as well. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! We are hoping to rent all of their places eventually, what a great couple to deal with. Restaurants close and Turtle Hospital was fun to go to as well. We drove down and enjoyed the large parking space, etc. and garbage pick up. Grocery stores are close and there is a grill downstairs...perfect!! We think their properties are a BARGAIN and felt soo lucky getting to find them!! :)
