about 25- 30 minutes from Sarasota bradenton airport, 1 hour to Tampa International airport, 40 minutes from Myakka state river park. 1 hour from warm mineral springs in north port. 10 minute drive to downtown bradenton on the manatee river with a skate park volleyball court and a ferry that takes you to Anna Maria island. Anna Maria island has a free transportation trolley service taking you anywhere you need to go. Robinsons preserve is about 1 or 2 miles away and is great place for kayaking and fishing and just getting outdoors. The Desoto national memorial is also about 1 or 2 miles away and is a old Spanish fort from the 1500s and there are ancient Native American artifacts and burial mounds all over this site and in bradenton. Bush Gardens in Tampa is an hour away and Disney world is 2 hours away.
