The MCII condo community not only fronts the inland waterway but also has a private canal that runs through the community from the waterway. MCII owns a walkway along the canal that offers almost unlimited dockage to community guests and residents for a very nominal price.

Area Information

Siesta Key is known worldwide for its extraordinary beaches. This year it was again named the best beach in the United States and the only beach in the U.S. to be selected as one of the 25 best most beautiful beaches in the world. The condo is part of a condo community with deeded access to the Beach. Googel Maps estimates the walk to be 0.3 miles or 8 minutes.

The unit is also within easy walking distance of groceries, 12 restaurants, fishing charters and boat rentals, and music venues. It is only a few hundred yards north of the Stickney Point Bridge(South Bridge) to Siesta Key which provides easy to access all of the many attractions on the mainland of Sarasota Co. There are more than a dozen 18 hole golf courses (including some of Southwest Florida's finest) within 20 miles of the condo.

Downtown Sarasota has a stunning aray of attractions ranging from an opera company to fine restaurants, more than half a dozen theater companies and a wide array of musical venues. The distance from the condo to the center of downtown Sarasota is 8 miles.

Attractions Within Walking Distance

Crescent Beach Market: Nice small grocery. Higher prices than on the mainland but very convenient. Good quality meats and vegitables. Google Maps says it is .3 miles or an 8 minute walk.

The Sneaky Tiki Bar: Always popular, nice bar with a good vibe. Live music much of the time. Also large screen TVs for sports. Food is better than you might expect at a Tiki Bar. Google Maps says it is .3 miles or an 9 minute walk.

CB Saltwater Outfitters: Has pretty much anything you need for a day on the water including all types of tackle, live bait, hats and clothing to reduce sun exposure. CB also rents boats, arranges boating trips and guides. CB is .4 miles or a 10 minute walk from the Unit.

The Orange Octopus has really good ice cream! Either in a cone or a cup. Google Maps says it is .3 miles or an 9 minute walk

Siesta Key Bike and Kayak Rental is immediately next to the Orange Octopus. You can rent by the day, week or month. They will deliver kayaks to the lagoon at Turtle Beach for exploration of of the Bird Key Mangroves on Little Siesta Bay.

Daqari Deck Bar Across the street from Kiesta Key Bike and Kayak is the bar for the Daqari Deck restaurant which about 4 stories above the bar. It has music on most nights, particularly the weekends and the musicians are often quite good. It is a 10 minute walk.

Christopher Wheeler Park is on the waterway just below the bridge. It is a little more than a half mile walk and It's principle use is for fishing on the water way. It is a pretty little park but the fishing is no better there than off the banks of Midnight Cove II, imediately below our lanai.

Siesta Parasailing is just past Cresent Market and across the street from the Orange Octopus. It offer parasailing in the Gulf just off of Siesta Beach. Similar operations are located immediately across the Sickney Bridge. Siesta Parasailing is about a 10 minute walk.

The Crescent Club. No food here but if you like to smoke cigars, drink your favorate libation and watch 3 or 4 ball games at the same time, this is the place for you. Just past the Sneaky Tiki it is a 10 minute walk.

Green Turtle Shell and Gift is just past the Crescent Club and has a seemingly endless assortment of things to take home to help you or your friends to remember Siesta Beach by. It is about 10 minutes.
