The Splash Resort in Panama City Beach is the new standard for family vacation destinations on the Gulf Coast, offering Gulf Front 2 condominium overlooking the Gulf of Mexico with the most unique set of amenities ever offered at a beachfront resort on the Gulf Coast. Kids of all ages will love the water theme park environments including a beachfront lazy river, multiple pools (indoor / outdoor), a Lil tot splash pad, children’s interactive play pools with water slides, water cannons, dive in movie theater, a huge bucket that dumps hundreds of gallons of water, interactive water toys and more. Your kids will have to see it to believe it! Mom and Dad will love Splash too and not just because the kids are having a ball. There is an adult only swimming pool and jacuzzi with a bird's eye view of the kids play area, a state-of-the-art fitness facility overlooking the pool and lazy river, a poolside Bar & Grill, High Speed Internet access and onsite Beach apparel and Surf shop. Not to mention a fantastic Front Beach Road location with easy access to Pier Park shopping, movies and restaurants just a couple of miles away and quick access to the shops and restaurants of Hwy. 30-A’s Rosemary and Seacrest Beaches only 7 miles away.
Unique Benefits
1. Built Specifically for Families (Not an Add-On)
Most resorts add a kid area—Splash was designed from the ground up for families, so everything (layout, amenities, flow) is centered around kids having fun while parents relax.
2. All-Day Entertainment Without Leaving the Property
Parents don’t need to plan excursions or drive anywhere—kids are occupied from morning to night with:
Water park
Beach access
Pools & lazy river
Movies & activities
This reduces vacation stress and spending.
3. Easy Visibility = Peace of Mind
The water play areas are designed so parents can watch kids from nearby seating or balconies, giving a rare mix of freedom for kids and comfort for adults.
4. High “Repeat Stay” Factor for Families
Kids get attached to Splash—fast. Many families return yearly because:
Kids already know the layout
They associate it with “their vacation spot”
This drives strong emotional loyalty.
5. Multiple Water Temps Extend the Season
Heated pools + hot tubs + indoor/outdoor options mean kids can swim even during cooler months—a big advantage for off-season bookings.
6. On-Site Food = No Interruptions
Quick access to food and drinks keeps kids happy and avoids the “leave the fun to go eat” problem—a major friction point eliminated.
7. Seamless Beach + Waterpark Flow
The biggest differentiator:
Kids can rotate between beach and waterpark in minutes.
No packing up. No logistics. Just continuous fun.
8. Built-In Downtime Options
When kids need a break:
Arcade-style games
Movie nights
Chill pool areas
Keeps energy balanced without boredom.
9. Parents Actually Get to Relax
This is the hidden benefit:
Kids are entertained
Everything is contained
No constant planning
It turns a “family trip” into something closer to a vacation.
10. Strong Value Per Dollar
Compared to paying separately for:
Waterparks
Activities
Entertainment
Splash bundles it all into one stay—making it feel like a premium experience at a better value.
Why Kids Love It
1. It’s Basically a Beachfront Water Park
Splash isn’t just a condo—it’s a mini waterpark on the beach. Kids get water slides, splash pads, spray toys, and interactive play zones all in one place.
2. The Giant Dump Bucket = Instant Favorite
Every few minutes, a massive bucket dumps hundreds of gallons of water—creating that “can’t stop laughing” moment kids talk about all trip long.
3. Lazy River = Endless Fun (and a Break for Parents )
Kids float, spin, and play for hours in the lazy river, which is one of the most-used features at the resort.
4. Something for Every Age (Toddlers → Teens)
Little ones: safe splash pads & shallow play areas
Older kids: slides, water cannons, and pools
Teens: beach, hot tubs, and activities
It’s one of the few resorts where everyone stays entertained all day.
5. Dive-In Movies at Night
Imagine watching a movie while floating in the pool—this nighttime experience keeps kids engaged even after the sun goes down.
6. Beach + Water Park = No Boredom
Kids can go from building sandcastles → straight into pools → back to the waterpark without ever getting in a car.
7. They Rarely Want to Leave the Resort
Between the water features, pools, arcade-style fun, and on-site food, families often say they don’t even need to go anywhere else.

Inside Scoop (Tips Only Locals Know)
The west and east ends usually feel less hectic than the central strip. If guests want a quieter beach day, tell them to head out early and avoid the busiest mid-day stretch near the largest public access points. PCB has more than 100 beach access points, so it is easy to find a calmer spot.
St. Andrews State Park is one of the best “locals actually go there” spots. The jetties are a favorite for snorkeling, and the park is open daily from 8 a.m. to sundown. It is also one of the easiest launch points for Shell Island.
For Shell Island, go early and pack like there are no services. The official shuttle runs regularly, but once you are out there, guests will be happier if they already brought water, snacks, shade, and beach gear. The shuttle notes you can bring coolers, chairs, and toys.
Locals pay attention to beach flags before anything else. Yellow and red still mean real surf and current risk, double red means the water is closed, and the city notes that entering on double red can bring a $500 fine. Guests can also text PCBFLAGS to 888777 for flag alerts.
Weekday mornings are the sweet spot for driving, parking, and beach time. Local tourism guidance specifically points to early morning or late afternoon as the best windows for a less crowded experience.
Conservation Park is a great backup plan when the beach is windy or crowded. Most visitors never think of it, but it is one of the better low-key nature options for biking or walking off the beach.
Schooners is more fun at sunset than just at dinner. Their sunset cannon celebration happens every night, rain or shine, so timing a meal or drink around that gives guests one of the classic PCB experiences.
If guests do not want to fight traffic, staying close to where they plan to eat and play matters. Visit Panama City Beach specifically recommends walking, biking, or rideshare for getting around town, especially near beach resorts and Pier Park.
