Rosen G.Beautiful house in a great location, but everything changed at check-in. Floors were extremely sticky, leaving visible footprints with every step. We contacted Melissa immediately. She explained they used a floor chemical that didn't require rinsing, but the floor clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. We tried staying positive for our family vacation. More issues emerged: green plastic on stairs, bent paperclip under the dining table (both dangerous for our dog), white residue in the bedroom closet we couldn't identify so avoided using. These should have been caught during inspection. The worst was the kitchen counter covered in crumbs, dust, hair, etc. After wiping it down, we were speechless and disgusted. This is where we'd prepare food. We sent photos to Melissa, but she was dismissive, called the situation "bizarre" and implied we were lying, claiming she personally inspected the house. We paid 325 for cleaning but found black hair throughout, greasy utensils, dusty mirrors, and dust on furniture. We needed to wear shoes inside, had to clean utensils, and were breathing dust everywhere. Melissa offered to send cleaners but didn't respond when we provided available times. She offered a 75 restaurant gift card, which felt insulting. We declined and requested a full cleaning fee refund since we cleaned ourselves. We're disputing the cleaning fee, but she's uncooperative. Unless Melissa improves cleaning standards and takes responsibility, we can't recommend this property.

MeganWe loved our stay at Melissa's place. It's a very well-appointed home and feels cozy and comfortable. It's very spacious and clean. We thought the location was great - a few places were walkable, stores were right down the street, and it's only a few minutes from the water. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this house again.

KristiWe had a fantastic stay at Melissa’s beautiful home in Sarasota! I visited with a friend and our two teenage boys, and the house was perfect for us. It was absolutely immaculate and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed — the kitchen had all the cooking essentials, and Melissa even left goody bags in each bathroom, plus laundry detergent, which was a great touch. The closets were huge — perfect for unpacking and settling in — and the master bedroom and bathroom felt truly 5-star. So spacious, comfortable, and luxurious!Melissa was incredibly responsive and helpful any time I reached out — always quick to reply and very kind. The home is in a safe, quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to a lovely park and dog park.I highly recommend staying here. Don’t hesitate to book — you won’t be disappointed!

MaryMelissa's place is gorgeous and she was very responsive to our questions. I loved kitchen and high end appliances to cook and entertain our group. However, high end appliances don't replace serving bowls, platters, silverware. I ended up going to Women's Exchange to fill in gaps. Also suggest providing a gas firepit and not including fact tenants must buy own tank would be helpful. We always stay in Gillespie Park area and as usual, it provided the group a great experience.

BarbaraWe enjoyed our month at Melissa’s. Loved being in town, having a dog run on the property and a dog park a block away. I could walk to Starbucks, Whole foods and Pilates. To the Bayfront and the restaurants. All in all a very successful stay.

DessireeMelissa was very communicative and responsive. The house was very clean and well decorated. There are a lot of restaurants close by and the park was a great place to walk, run and enjoy. We loved our time in Sarasota. We went to the restaurant Breakfast House about 4 minutes away and it was amazing.

CindyI really enjoyed my stay, everything about it. It was a work trip and the office space was perfect. Great WiFi. I brought my dog (Max). The dog run right next to the house was the perfect size for him to enjoy.Melissa was an exceptional host! Hope to return on my next trip to Sarasota. Can’t say enough good things. 💜

EllenMelissa’s place was absolutely perfect for our long (and extended hurricane stay)! The house is clean with extremely comfortable beds. Viking kitchen equipment. Stocked closet filled with beach necessities. SO MANY towels, which we greatly appreciated. Melissa was so helpful, so many recommendations and helped us pivot when we couldn’t get home because of the storm. We’ll be back!

DaveHome matches the photos! Very modern, clean, and updated rental. Melissa was incredible responsive and proactive. Thanks so much! The closet by the front door is full of amazing beach items… chairs… blankets…Do note that the one bedroom has two twins as noted, one is closer to the floor than the other. And note, the 4 bed, is actually a jackknife couch in the living room. All very comfortable and appropriate, we just were not able to find a double bed in the living room (might have missed it)
