Outdoor and water recreation top the list of things to do. First, start at the beach. Two must-sees include Bonita Springs Public Beach and picturesque Barefoot Beach Preserve. In fact, Barefoot Beach ranks among the best beaches in the U.S. for its unspoiled beauty.

Other scenic spots are located at Little Hickory Beach Park, Mound Key State Park and Lover's Key State Park. As one of the top attractions in the area, Lover's Key State Park offers 2 miles of pristine shoreline and serves as a place for destination weddings. Bonita Springs is also dog-friendly and has its own dog beach park.

The area is situated near Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, so visitors can canoe, kayak, paddle-board and ride jet skis. In addition, the area offers boat rentals perfect for sailing or simply exploring with loved ones. Looking for a guide? Several tour companies welcome guests to go on dolphin- and manatee-watching trips or deep-sea fishing excursions. For some wildlife adventure, head to Everglades Wonder Gardens. This attraction provides a home to gators, exotic birds and reptiles from around the world.

Our Bonita Springs vacation rentals also provide access to more than a dozen golf courses. With public and private options, it's easy to find a challenging course that showcases Florida's natural beauty. A few examples include Bonita Fairways, Bonita National Golf and Country Club, Raptor Bay, Spanish Wells, and Spring Run.

Those who vacation in Bonita Springs will also find award-winning dining options. Seafood remains the top choice, but local restaurants also serve international flavors, family favorites and traditional dishes. The area's diverse food scene enables guests to experience both casual and upscale atmospheres as well as waterfront dining. Top picks include Wyld's Cafe, C Level Bistro and Wine Bar, Coconut Jack's Waterfront Grill, and Mel's Diner, to name a few.

After sampling the best in local cuisine, browse boutiques and shops. Promenade at Bonita Bay welcomes guests to shop an open-air mall full of upscale boutiques, salons, spas and dining. To support other local businesses, stop by Flamingo Island Flea Market and Bonita Springs Farmers Market. Coconut Point is a mall in Estero that has dozens of big names in accessories and fashion. Then save on major brands at Miromar Outlets in Estero.

Our guests also love coming to Bonita Springs for festivals and events. Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs and Southwest Florida Event Center host big shows in music and theater.
