The large screened swimming pool is surrounded by plenty of deck space and comfortable loungers for soaking up the Florida sunshine. The oversized lanai offers multiple places to relax, including a conversation area, outdoor dining and additional seating.

The pool is heated during the winter months. Please keep in mind that outdoor pool temperatures can fluctuate during unusually cold Florida weather.

One of the best parts of staying in Overbrook Gardens is the easy access to the beautiful beaches, waterways and relaxed coastal communities of Englewood and Manasota Key. Spend the morning kayaking, choose a different Gulf beach for the afternoon, enjoy dinner near the water, and finish the day watching one of Southwest Florida's spectacular sunsets.

Manasota Beach

Located at the northern end of Manasota Key, Manasota Beach offers a quieter, more natural Gulf Coast experience. Its long sandy shoreline is wonderful for swimming, walking, shelling and searching for the fossilized shark teeth that are commonly found along this part of the coast.

The park also offers picnic areas, restrooms, showers and a boat ramp with access to Lemon Bay. It's a great choice for guests looking for a relaxing beach day away from the busier beach areas.

Blind Pass Beach

Continue south along scenic Manasota Key Road to Blind Pass Beach, also known as Middle Beach. This beautiful park stretches from the Gulf of Mexico to Lemon Bay, allowing visitors to enjoy both sides of the island.

Stump Pass Beach State Park

At the southern tip of Manasota Key, Stump Pass Beach State Park is a must-visit for anyone who loves natural Florida.

The park offers approximately a mile of undeveloped shoreline where visitors can swim, fish, walk the beach, collect shells and search for fossilized shark teeth. A nature trail follows the peninsula through native coastal vegetation toward Stump Pass, where Lemon Bay meets the Gulf.

The surrounding waters and mangroves are also excellent for kayaking and wildlife watching. Keep an eye out for dolphins, manatees, ospreys, pelicans and other coastal wildlife.

Don Pedro Island State Park

Just south of Manasota Key are Palm Island and Knight Island, another beautiful stretch of barrier-island coastline. Accessible by boat or the local car ferry, the area is known for quiet beaches, shelling, fishing and a laid-back island atmosphere.

Boca Grande & Gasparilla Island

A little farther south, a day trip to Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island is well worth the drive. The island is famous for its turquoise Gulf waters, beautiful beaches, historic village atmosphere and the iconic Port Boca Grande Lighthouse.

Explore the island by golf cart or bicycle, have lunch in the historic village, visit the lighthouse and spend the afternoon at one of Gasparilla Island's Gulf beaches.

Venice Beaches

Head north toward Venice for even more choices. Caspersen Beach is particularly famous for fossilized shark teeth and has a more natural, undeveloped shoreline.
