Amazing views from your private saltwater heated pool/hot tub, and screened outdoor living area that features an outdoor grill, bar, and TV. Prefer monthly rentals but no longer than 4-5 months. On the Big Slough River off the Myakka River. Multiple golf courses from 10-30 minutes away. Warm Mineral Springs is less than 5 minutes away,

Area Information

45 minutes to Sarasota, 20 minutes to Englewood or Venice beaches, and 10 minutes to Atlanta Braves or Tampa Bay Rays spring training facilities. Very convenient location in a very quiet neighborhood. It is not 55 and up but it does feel like it due to the quiet nature of the neighbors and community. Wide driveway for up to 4 cars. On a quiet cul-de-sac road. The sidewalks and road are utilized by many walkers and bike riders. The neighborhood is very close-knit and is very quiet. If you are looking to be loud and party into the night, this is NOT your place. Families and those looking to enjoy the quiet life, this is for you.

Notes:

Due to the potential cost to heat the pool/hot tub and normal electric utilities, Any electric bills over $300 for the month will be paid by the tenant. With no one in the home and the pool pump (not heater} running daily, the electric bill is $75.00 on average.

No glass items on the lanai/pool. Broken glass in the pool cannot be seen.

No smoking of any kind inside the residence or under any fixed roof. to include vaping, or e-cigarettes- Outside ONLY. Smoking in the screened portion roof of the lanai is ok.

Dogs must be 100% observed/leashed while in the back yard as alligators do swim by daily. No alligator has been in the yard since I have been there in 6 years. There is a seawall but the dog may fall in the water.

No swimming or paddleboarding in the river - if you swim in the river you have now entered into the food chain.

No feeding the wildlife - ESPECIALLY the alligators. Alligators are naturally afraid of humans, however visitors tend to feed them and cause them to come closer and closer until its too late. Fed alligators usually are reported due the proximity in which they get to humans and are subsequently trapped and killed by professionals.

No parking on the street or in the grass/lawn. Only is the designated 4 spaces provided in the driveway.

Cancellations received less than 30 days from the check in date will result in forfeiture first months rental price. The $1500.00 deposit will be returned.

Reservations must be made with a deposit of $1500.00 upon reservation. With full payment excluding the $1500.00 deposit 30 days prior to the start date. The $1500.00 will also act as a security deposit and will be returned within 14 days after final reservation date and will be utilized for damage repairs or electrical utility charges over $300.00. Any remaining balance will be returned.

About the owner: I grew up in this area as a child and joined the Navy. Returned home after 25 years to be near family. I bought this house in 2017 and completely renovated it from top to bottom - piece by piece over 4 years. It is still a work in progress but only minor aesthetic upgrades remain. The renovation was a family and friends affair. I am offering the same wonderful experiences to those looking to continue caring for this wonderful charming home. I am not looking to rent to just anyone, only those wishing to enjoy it, care for it as I have and doing so without damaging it in the process.
