Dos Casas is on the 700 block of Fleming Street, the heart of the most beautiful section of Old Town. This lovely 2-house compound is located just a few blocks from Duval Street, Mallory Square and the Seaport. Quiet at night, yet close to the action, this very special neighborhood showcases the best of Old Town Key West --filled with Victorian mansions and historic homes.
Each house has two bedrooms, a shared bath and kitchen facilities. The main house has a large living room, fully equipped kitchen, full laundry , bath with shower, king bedroom with a walk-in closet and a queen bedroom with plenty of closet space and a desk, if you are working remotely. Location is amazing, close to the waterfront and Duval, yet it's quiet.
Great front porches that are up above the street allowing some privacy.
High ceilings, spacious rooms, lots of storage make it easy to settle in for a month.
An amazing outdoor shower.
Great for remote working.
Why Kids Love It
The cute turtles in the pool. A local artist made turtle tiles and they are embedded in the stairs and bottom of the pool.
TVs in every bedroom.
A pass to the beach that will let the whole family in for free -- every day.
If it's your first time in Key West, you'll be delighted with all that it has to offer. It's called Paradise for a reason. Key West is America's only Caribbean city. Old Town Key West is filled with beautiful homes, fantastic restaurants, bars and music venues as well as galleries and museums.
It's different from anywhere in Florida, combining Bahamian, New England and Caribbean influences in a town with roots going back to the early 1800's. Built on fishing, sponging, a Cuban cigar industry, the Navy -- it's a fascinating mix of cultures. Today, whether you're interested in art, theater, fishing, water sports or music, you'll find something new to experience.
Color is everywhere from the turquoise waters surrounding this island city, beautiful sunsets, lush greenery and flowers blooming at every turn. Houses are painted a rainbow of colors, surrounded by lush gardens.

About the owner: The Bonaminio Family is the proud new owner of Dos Casas! We have been guests of the previous owners for the last ten years.
When the opportunity arose to purchase our family's special vacation location , we all agreed that we would happily continue the tradition of providing the perfect vacation home for our guests.
In 2004 , we were invited to visit by friends who owned a timeshare. We immediately fell in love with Key West. That week we purchased 0ur own timeshare. As our family grew we needed more space and a longer stay in our favorite place. We found that in Dos Casas!
Jim and I are originally from Lorain and Cleveland Ohio respectively. We have lived and raised our family and our business in the Cincinnati area since the 1970s.
Why this property? We fell in love with Dos Casas as soon as I walked through the gate. It has a great vibe to it and our guests seem to feel it too -- the reason why they come back year after year. It's a happy house, comfortable and makes everyone who stays feel welcome.
The sunny front porch is always our morning place for coffee and to greet the day. The back porch is our favorite for family dinners and hanging out. And who doesn’t love a pool to jump into day or night?
There's nothing better than being able to walk just a few blocks to Truman Waterfront in the morning, or leave for the Tropic just 10 minutes before the movie starts. We're so close to so many great restaurants (and only two blocks to Fausto's!) -- the location just doesn't get any better.
Guestbook comments from the host:
We recently stayed at Dos Casas for a month. We had family and friends throughout the stay. The houses were perfect for this. The location is close to everything such as Duval, grocery store, restaurants, the marina, etc. Michael and Charlene were the perfect hosts. They have thought of everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. The highlight of the house was the outside shower. It was a hit with everyone. We highly recommend this location as your getaway in Key West. Hope to do it again.
Three generations stayed at Dos Casas over December 2016. The property was perfect in every way - the pictures and descriptions don't even do it justice. You don't need a car here as everything is within walking distance. Grocery store 2 blocks away, marina 2 blocks away, restaurants and bars of Duval Street 2 blocks away. It was even a reasonable walk to the Southenmost Point, Hemingway House, and other attractions. Even with the close proximity to all the attractions, the neighborhood was very quiet (except for the roosters) and we felt very safe. The house was well appointed with comfortable beds, all linens, basic paper goods and cleaning supplies, quality cookware, and appliances. The common deck area with the plunge pool and large table was our gathering spot. It was spacious and private. We are looking forward to returning in the future for an extended vacation. Michael and Charlene were great to deal with.
We recently had the absolute pleasure of spending a month in Dos Casas. This property could not have been more perfect for our guests and our family! Mike and Charlene thought of every little detail but there is no denying our all time favorite part of the house was the outside shower! We liked it so much, we are putting one in our home. The Casas are perfectly located to just about everything you need to enjoy your time in Key West. Our senior Golden Retrievers also loved the property and enjoyed their daily walks around the quaint neighborhood. I highly recommend this property and hope to visit again next year!
We stayed in September and there were 4 of us.
The house is split into 2 but all on the same ground with shared garden/pool area.
The outdoor shower was excellent! Private and under palm trees and amazing at night!
The pool was small but very deep at one end which was nice.
The pool area was nice and we hung out there a lot just on the table, chairs and loungers.
Location was perfect! We walked up and down duval street and other restaurant areas.
Could walk to the beach but we hired bikes from eaton bikes (1 block away) and it was a nice easy 15 minute bike ride (max) to fort zach beach.
Parking was easy for us - right outside the property.
The lizards are cool; they are very small and they just dart away so you'll never get near them. We did see one gecko at night for about an hour but that was it.
The amenities in the house were excellent; they had beach pass all ready setup and thought of everything you might need; umbrellas, cups etc....even a grill outside.
the lights were really nice outside.
I would thoroughly recommend this place!
My family had the opportunity to spend the month of July at Dos Casas. We had a wonderful time in Key West. This property had everything you could ask for and more. The outdoor living space was quaint and decorated perfectly. We spent much of our time on the deck and in the pool. The indoor living spaces are spacious and decorated tastefully. I would highly recommend this property. The owners are very nice and accommodating.
My husband and I have made several trips to Key West over the years. We usually stay at Ocean Key or Marquesa. This was the first year we rented a property for a month. We were not disappointed with the accommodations or the location. You will not need to bring anything from home....except your clothes! The houses are more than equip for all your needs, especially the kitchen. The property is located 2 blocks off Duvall and 3 blocks from the marina. Fausto's and the liquor store are only 1 block away. Michael and Charlene (owners) are extremely friendly and accommodating. Our family and friends enjoyed the property as much as we did. If we ever get the chance to take a vacation of this length again, we will defiantly stay at Dos Casas.
We stayed at this absolutely perfectly appointed vacation home in June of 2014. The street was quiet yet a stones throw from all the action.
This is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate, everything you need is provided for you.
Mike and Charlene keep this place absolutely pristine. Well appointed kitchen, relaxing living room, dreamy bedroom and beautiful bathroom, although we mostly used the outdoor shower. The pool in the fenced in yard is a little oasis. You're in walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and lunch spots. We went to the beach (Fort Zachary), went sightseeing and took in all the local color. We never got in our car, we walked and biked everywhere. This spot is heaven on earth!!
I have rented here twice now, and love this property-It is so inviting, from the moment you enter you know you have entered paradise. The layout with the two seperate homes works perfect, and the house is not lacking for anything you may need. Location is perfect..and yet so private. The owners are also fantastic and cannot say enough about my experiences with this and will return as much as possible!!! Beds, linens, ammenities A++++++++The outdoor shower is a must...and one of my favorite things is the two front porches to sit and people watch, or read a great book.....Also on a one way street...Bonus!!! If you like a home for gathering with family and or friends, but want additional privacy-THIS IS YOUR RENTAL!!!
This is a delightful property. The main house and the cottage are well appointed with everything one could need. Nothing like an outdoor shower after a late night dip in the pool with the full moon shining. The property is in a wonderful location, an easy walk to Duval Street and all it's fun or to the waterfront to catch a sail or sunset celebration. Great restaurants nearby or just a short bike ride to the islands other wonderful dining establishments, sights and beaches.
Mike and Charlene have a wonderful treasure and I thank them for sharing it. I have definitely recommended this property to my friends and family.
