On a warm evening we love to sit on the back deck under the over head fans, watch the palms sway in the evening breeze and chat about our day. If it is raining there is a perfect spot on the front deck with 2 rockers. The gas grill is an added bonus, a special treat when you know that back home you are up to your knees in show. Somehow a steak is just better on the grill. With comfortable beds, high quality linens this is truly a place to call home.
Why Kids Love It
There is a wonderful little splash park just a 2 - 3 minute walk away..... great spot to let the little ones play always so much laughter and joy.
We are located in the Shipyard of Truman Annex, in Old Town Key West. This is a very walkable/bikeable location, just a couple of blocks from Duval St., away from all of the hustle and bustle, but close to everything.
Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and Beach is our favorite beach on the Island. We love to visit all of the art galleries in Old Town and the Historic Sea Port. You are within easy walking distance of Sunset at Mallory Square, day adventures such as diving, kayaking, sailing, etc.
There are so many really good restaurants in KW it is impossible to limit yourself to just one. Of coarse there is a vast number of seafood dishes available at most restaurants (you are on an island), Italian, Steak, Thai, Pub style, Fine Dinning, Vegetarian, Food trucks, etc. Your choices are endless.
The best way to see Key West is either on foot or on bicycle. Get off the main drag and explore. The island is a safe welcoming place.
