Want to experience the Space Coast like a true local? Here are the insider secrets most tourists never find out about:
The "Dock & Dine" Hack: Skip the hassle of finding a parking spot at The Old Fish House or Capt. Hiram's. You can navigate your boat or kayaks directly from the backyard dock straight to their restaurant slips, tie up, and walk right in for lunch or sunset cocktails!
Secret Island Hopping: Launch the kayaks or SUPs toward the spoil islands directly across from the house. Island BC45 and neighboring islets have small sandy beaches where you can anchor, set up beach chairs, and have a private island picnic away from the crowds.
Catching the Best Rocket Launch Views: You don't need to drive up to Cape Canaveral to watch a rocket launch! Walk out to the private dock with a nightcap—the unobstructed northern view across the Indian River Lagoon offers a front-row, reflection-on-the-water view of SpaceX and NASA launches.
Beat the Crowd at Sebastian Inlet: If you're heading to the Inlet for fishing or swimming, go early (before 9:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 3:30 PM). You'll easily secure parking, avoid the midday Florida heat, and hit the peak activity time for dolphins feeding near the jetty.
Manatee Alley Morning Ritual: Manatees love the calm, warmer shallow waters along the shoreline in the early morning. Grab your morning coffee and sit quietly on the dock between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM—this is when they most frequently glide right past the yard.
Fresh Catch Without the Boat: Don't feel like fishing? Drive 5 minutes south to Grantham Seafood or local docks along US-1 in the morning to buy fresh-off-the-boat shrimp, stone crab (in season), or daily catches to throw on the outdoor grill back at the house.
ocated directly on scenic U.S. Hwy 1, our waterfront home is a boater’s and jet ski enthusiast’s dream! The property offers spacious driveway parking with ample room for multiple boat and jet ski trailers.
Christenson's Landing Public Boat Ramp is located just 2.3 miles away, offering 4 lanes for fast, easy launch into the Indian River Lagoon. From there, you are only 5 miles to the iconic Sebastian Inlet and local Sand Bars for world-class fishing, sandbar lounging, and ocean access.

Arthur W.Quite and very comfortable inside this vacation rental.
I booked this rental for a weekend of fishing and relaxation with some friends and family. The rental had plenty of starter items stocked and ready for use. A very large backyard with fire pit and grill. The home was set up great with plenty of room for everyone. a rocking A/C system and TV's in each bedroom. We did not do any around the area trips just bait shops and fishing the Indian river. For the most part we fished from the dock. Several pole holders, a bench seat, fish cleaning station and a shower on the dock. There was an issue when we went to use the available boards and kayak to get out on the water, there were no paddles. With the wind around 15-20 MPH I don't think we would have had a very good experience on the water. Overall this is a great place to soak up some sun and relax. A.W.
