Unique Benefits
We love the private, heated pool. The house is extremely clean and very comfortable, but taking a nightly dip in the pool is something everyone seems to really enjoy! The pool is heated during the cooler weather and we would be willing to heat it during the warmer weather if needed, but the summer sun warms the pool without the solar cover. Soft lighting around the pool and patio area adds a nice ambiance when relaxing during the evening.
Also enjoy great fishing near the house and awesome sunsets. Very peaceful and romantic. It is a must see on every visit to Venice!
Why Kids Love It
Kids love the pool and shark tooth hunting on the beach! We have shark tooth hunting equipment in the garage. It's an easy to learn hobby. Go to the beach with the tools and virtually anyone at the beach will educate you on the art of tooth searching. It is a very social activity and everyone is excited the show their finds for the day. The kids really enjoy the activity.
South Venice has a lot of local activities -- Golf, Beaches, Restaurants, Activities for the Kids, Museums, Spring Training Camps within a few minutes of the house. You will likely find one month in Venice is not nearly enough to enjoy all of the activities in the Venice area.

There are several great restaurants in the area. Sharly's On the Water is a poplar place that usually does not take reservations, so plan accordingly and arrive early to enjoy a great meal. Tony's Chicago Beef is a great lunch or casual dinner location. Prime Serious Steak offers a great meal with great off-season promotions.
We really enjoy breakfast at Suncoast Cafe is a small restaurant at the Venice airport, just a few minutes north of the home. They only have 7 tables plus counter service and they are only open Wednesday through Sunday. Be patient with the wait, but the food is worth it. The owner, Tony is very charismatic and is quite a funny guy.

About the host
: We live out of state, but travel to Florida regularly. We have family in the area, so South Venice made sense for us to invest in a Florida property. We wanted a home that our family would enjoy ensuring our guests would also enjoy.
