About the owner: We are a retired couple from Dayton, Ohio, where we raised our family. We moved to Florida in 2019 for the mild climate and decided the active lifestyle of the Villages was the way to spend our time. We like to travel, play pickle ball (Bill), read (Kim), and swim. Getting together with friends and neighbors, meeting new folks during our travels, is the way we like to socialize.
Why this property? We bought this investment property because it’s in The Villages. With all the amenities and great weather, we felt it would be attractive to those wanting to enjoy the lifestyle as a vacation and for those looking to try out the lifestyle before deciding on a move to the Vilalges.

First time in The Villages
1st extended rental in The Villages. Didn’t really know what to expect…. But as we quickly found out, everyone we met in DeLuna (at the pool) was extremely happy to be there and had no problem offering good advice and happy to share their own experiences. The home was brand new, well appointed, beds and furniture super comfortable, plenty of towels, kitchen had all the appliances we needed and was stocked nicely with starter materials. All much appreciated. Since this was our first time, we spent a lot of time and effort looking at houses for sale, both new and old. Used the regional pool for water volleyball, played lots of golf, went to Brownwood for entertainment and dinners, etc, etc… especially liked the walking and riding trails throughout DeLuna, and easy access to these trails. Immediately drank the Village cool aid and purchased an existing home up north near Sumter. There were a few minor hiccups with the home, front lock malfunction, bedroom fan not working, etc. nothing we couldn’t live without. Enjoyed the newspaper every morning and the comfort of the front lanai chairs. We will be snowbirds for a few years, but looking forward to returning soon. Mike
