The Home:
As you enter the home, you'll be greeted by a meticulously clean, centrally air-conditioned open living space with a view straight through to your private heated, saltwater pool surrounded by lush tropical flora. As you drop your cares with your bags, the seamless blending of the coastal appointed home with its outdoor living space will draw you to the spacious covered patio and sun splashed pool deck. The outdoor living area is accessible through three sets of glass pocket sliders from the great room, kitchen/TV room, and pool-view guest bedroom. The screened enclosed pool area features a contemporary expandable dining table (seats up to 10), patio lounge furniture (sofa, cocktail table, and club chairs) and four poolside chaise lounges for enjoying your favorite refreshment in the warm gulf breeze.
The home’s great room features a dinning table with seating for six (space for 8) and a large Roku smart TV - one of four throughout the house. The split floor plan has the master suite on one side of the great room with the kitchen and a separate TV room with a pullout couch, perfect for movie night with the kids. The master bedroom has a queen bed with charging stations on both nightstands, an air-pad desk, a spacious walk-in closet and adjoining private master bathroom that boasts a glass enclosed walk-in shower.
On the other side of the great room is a hallway adjoining two guest bedrooms and the shared guest bathroom featuring a combination tub with shower. The pool view guest bedroom features a pink flamingo coastal motif with a queen bed and air-pad desk with charging station. The other guest bedroom features a low-rise bunkbed (twin top bunk, queen bottom bunk and a twin size pull out trundle bed). This bunkbed room also has an air-pad desk with charging station and a sleep machine with all the tranquil sleep sounds a kid could want. Both guest bedroom closets feature builtin shelving and drawlers.
The kitchen is well-appointed with stainless steel builtin appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher and electric range with an oven) and a pedestal table with seating for four. Countertop appliances include an electric kettle, artisanal bread toaster, Krueg coffee maker and a multi speed blender for making your favorite tropical iced drinks. The kitchen is stocked with all of the basics including condiments, plastic wrap, paper towels and dishwasher soap. Just across the hall from the kitchen is the laundry room with a full sized, side-by-side washer and dryer combination. Everything you need for laundry is provided.
Guests have use of the entire home including the private screened-in patio and pool. The attached garage is not accessible but there is off street parking for two or more vehicles in the driveway.
As signed rental agreement is required.
Unique Benefits
The split floor plan with a bonus TV room having sliding doors all facing the pool area is perfect for parents and children to have separate spaces (where parents can still easily keep an eye on the kids). It is also ideal for two families or time away with the grandparents. The house is a coastal ranch style all on one level with wide doors for great accessibility.
Why Kids Love It
Kids love it because of the pool, three levels of bunk beds for the "sleep-over" experience and enough space to be kids even with an open floor plan that lends itself to great adult supervision. The pull-out couch in the TV room with their favorite streaming services is an added bonus.

Inside Scoop
Before I give you the rundown on our favorite beaches, the best "inside scoop" I can share is about sunsets and timing. Most people leave the beach before sunset often to get ready to head out for dinner, which is completely understandable. However, if you want to catch the most epic sunsets, stay until just after the sun disappears over the horizon. It may not look very impressive as the sun is going down but wait for it. At this time of the day, the sky often explodes with color and clouds often appear that were not previously visible. Especially in the Summer, it is an amazing transformation that you will never forget.
Now for the beaches...
Siesta Key Beach has been voted #1 beach in the U.S. for its white powder sugar sand and warm turquoise waters. It's a 5 minute drive to the southern access points. (5 min)
Be sure to check our Siesta Key Village with lots of dinning options and souvenir shops. We highly recommend Made in Rome organic gelato. If ice-cream is more to your liking, there are options for everyone. (14 min)
Lido Key Beach and the shops and eateries on St. Armands Circle are a must see. (20 min)
If you want to venture farther south, a favorite beach with the locals is Nokomis Beach. While it is a public beach with great facilities and easy parking, Nokomis has almost exclusively single family homes (no tall building) making it a wonderful beach experience. (20 min)
A little farther south is the wonderfully quaint gulf coast town of Venice on Venice Island with its Banyan Tree shaded promenade stretching from the shops and restaurants to the main beach on the gulf. (23 min)
The Venice Beach Fishing Pier is a great place to have dinner at sunset with two options, Sharky's for traditional gulf-coast fare and live music or Fins, a more upscale but still very relaxed option. (25 min)
Also remember, especially in the Summer, If it is raining on your beach, just pick another beach.
Amenities
Other Vacation Rental Amenities
Sprouts is the closest grocery store (5 min) with Trader Joe's (9 min) and Whole Foods Market in the town of Sarasota (19 min) nearby.
Mote Marine Laboratory has great programs for kids including a boat tour on Sarasota Bay (25 min)
Best kayaking is on Lido Key. There are tunnels through the mangroves and sandbars where you can stop to swim. Kayaking SRQ is one rental outfit with guided tours but there are others. (26 min)
Best shopping mall is University Town Center (UTC) with lots of familiar stores and dinning options including Apple, Saks Fifth Ave and Whole Foods Market (27 min)
The closest theme park is Bush Gardens Tampa Bay and its water park, Island of Adventure (70 min)
The theme parks in Orlando are 2.5 hours away (get an early start to avoid traffic). We highly recommend Universal Studios. Their water park, Volcano Bay may be the best of its kind in the world. Also, the best roller coasters and shows are at Sea World - the closing fireworks and light show is nothing short of incredible.
