Perfection!

1803E was beautiful and spacious! The location is perfect. I can't say enough good things. I'll try to cover the things that are important to me and what I look for when booking. Parking garage was fine, there was always plenty of parking regardless of time of day. I love that you check out the luggage carts ensuring there is always one available. As soon as you hit the crosswalk to your building you are in the cool a/c. Elevators are quick, we never waited over 2 minutes! The unit itself is beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are large. The master has a nice deep tub and the 2nd has a huge shower. Having a washer is important for longer stays. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware and utensils which is often hard to come by in rentals. The views from the balcony of the pier was amazing. The owners have thought of all the details down to an amazing book left on the coffee table to read, which I highly recommend! We were so spoiled with the amenities within the condo. We couldn't have asked for better! John was great to work with and was a text away answering any questions we had during our stay and checked to make sure we were having the best time.

Absolutely perfect!

My family and I were in desperate need of a staycation. We live just around 50 miles from here. The location was amazing. The view from the balcony, the condo itself, the full offerings of this place, absolutely AMAZING! John was so wonderful and attentive if we had issues but there absolutely were none. Easy family beach trip!

We had a wonderful and relaxing time during our stay at the Calypso. Our room was just as John said it would be: clean, spacious, and equipped with all luxuries that your home would offer. Beautiful View

This property has a beautiful view that I will never forget. My family is still talking about what a fantastic time we had. The beach was just an elevator ride and a few steps away. There is also lots to do nearby including restaurants and shopping. The accommodations were clean, pleasantly decorated, well stocked and comfortable. Vacation 2024

Our vacation for 2024,was at Panama City Beach Fla, we were fortunate to book a condo in the Calypso Resort, John Hughes the owner could not have been more accommodating, everything from the Condo itself right down to the parking was taking care of either by John or the resort was perfect, we loved the fact that once we registered for our beach chairs and umbrellas they were there everyday of our stay, since we were there on 4th of July holiday we got to see a spectacular fireworks show on the beach and the boardwalk, we hardly drove our vehicles after arriving at the resort everything we needed or wanted was a short walk from our condo, we look forward to visiting your spacious condo again and thank you for making our vacation a huge success.

Paradise

I have booked several times with John Hughes and have stayed in both of his units. This visit , I stayed in E1803. You will not find a better person to book with. He makes sure that everything is in tip top shape for your visit. His condos are very clean , updated and very well stock for your visit. The location of Calypso is in one of the most desirable locations. Pier Park is just a small walk from the condo and plenty of restaurants to choose from. John also provides beach service with his units. You will not be disappointed at all if you stay at one of his beautiful condos. I can’t wait to book again with him.

Perfect & Peaceful

This was a great place to stay. It was perfectly located by Pier Park and anything you want to get to quick to eat or play. The condo was nice, clean and roomy, it was just me and my husband and the space was more than ample. It’s was beautifully decorated and had thoughtful provisions like extra pillows, blankets and almost any amenity you’d have if you were home, they thought of the small things. Easy to book and the owner was so kind and considerate and easy to work with. We will stay here again and can’t wait until next time. Always nice to just enjoy your vacation and not have to worry about a thing of where you’re staying. Definitely 5 stars, we’d give it 10 ️ if it’d let us!! Thank you for such a memorable vacation! We loved it here so much the first time, we came back this year and have already booked for next year!. This condo and location have everything for couples and families! The owner has updated the unit and it is beautiful! It's always super clean and comfortable. John, the owner, is amazing and always available with any questions you may have. There is info in the unit for the many things available to do in the area. The sunset views from the balcony are amazing!! What a nice place

The location of this property is amazing. Walking distance to the pierk park, beach front, large pools, and a parking building. Five minute drive to Sharkey's Restaurant (worth visit) and the aquarium (great for kids, pretty good dolphin show). The diner next to the aquarium (Al american diner) was amazing and a must for everyone.The condo is very nice and the view is extraordinary. The owner is very responsive and cordial. The kitchen has many utensils and the appliances are new. The bed and bunkbed are very comfortable and the showers very spacious.Overall it was a very good stay.

Great Location

Everyone that I know that has been to the condo I booked always commented on the appearance of my place. The paint always look fresh and appliances up to date. I never had any issue with the air not working or any appliances. Plus I rented from Mr Hughes 2 or 3 years in a row so that says a lot.

Everything we hoped for

What a great vacation! The condo is in great shape, clean, and everything worked as it should. The location couldn't have been better. There are so many restaurant choices within walking distance that you'll never have to drive if you so choose. The Pier Park is great for shopping and dining and right across the street. There is also mini golf within walking distance as well. There is also a pier next door for moonlight strolls or fishing. After driving the strip, there is no doubt we made the right choice in staying at John's condo! Everything nearby is so much more up to date and if we go back, I'll be staying here again. Also, I recommend renting a couple fishing poles and a pontoon to spend the day on the ocean. The fish actually bite often! Never a dull moment and was such a great trip! John is great to work and plan with! Highly recommend!

Fantastic condo with an awesome ocean view!

Gulf Breeze Condos at Calypso Resort is everything you can ask for in a vacation rental. Very clean and well maintained! The balcony provides a perfect view of the beach and ocean, whether enjoying morning coffee, lunch, or evening beverages! The condo affords privacy, but has plenty of comfortable sitting/sleeping locations to satisfy all members of the family. The location is perfect - an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, a movie theater, and other attractions. The kitchen has all of the necessary amenities, including 2 coffee makers, a great refrigerator, plenty of cups, koozies, and silverware. I would highly recommend Gulf Breeze Condos and look forward to our next opportunity to stay while visiting Panama City Beach!

We stayed in this unit for the month of January. John checked in on us to make sure everything was in order. He was so helpful and accommodating! Thanks John! Amazing trip

I stayed in unit #1803 East for an entire week.The week of the Seabreeze Jazz Festival April 2021I was pleasantly surprised the unit was beautiful, appliances top notch, not one complaint at all in fact I was trying to find something to complain about but couldn't (lol]. “ Cation “

The title for this review represents how my grandkids pronounces “vacation”. This was our first experience as “condo vacation”. The views from the balcony are the best any time, day or night and the condo was very clean and modern. All 5 of us were very comfortable. Shopping was very close and convenient. After our day at the beach, we enjoyed time in the pool and back to the condo to close the day and enjoy the sunsets. The only negative thing was the vacation ended. Great place to stay and plenty to do.

Panama City Beach Wintering With Gulf Breeze Condos

What a wonderful three months at the Calypso Resort! And with such a wonderful host. In a wonderful beachfront condo where one could literally kiss the beach! Every day was a holiday with beautiful scenery, wonderful beach walks, great casual eateries along the beach. Key to all of that was my host, John Hughes. John was ever attentive to his guests’ needs. He responded promptly and he was always in the greatest of spirits—-that made so easy to contact him as necessary. John offered great suggestions for places to eat, local activities and sightseeing attractions. I did them all and none were a disappointment. Great time great condo

We had a great stay at the Calypso. Every single thing was first class. No hassle parking, no hassle checkin, great view and location. The condo was very clean and had a lot nicer furniture than anything we have renter before. The location right on the beach was great and a very short walk to Pier Park with all the restaurants and shopping you could want without having to get in your car. The owner stayed in touch with us during the stay but we didn’t have any problems. We highly recommend the Calypso and John Huges for a great hassle free stay.

Wonderful Condo; Wonderful Owner

Some girlfriends and I rented this condo for two months. We were coming and going as our schedules allowed. Our stay was wonderful. The condo was great with a breathtaking view of the Gulf. We were located across the street from Pier Park and had an up-front view of the new year's fireworks at the end of the pier. The owner, John, was just a phone call away. We probably bothered him more than we should have but he was always patient and helpful. You would love this condo.

Great Escape

Sisters get away

4th of July

Trip was fantastic. Unit was super clean, renovated and a great location. The fire works were on the pier right next to the unit and they were beautiful. Walking to Pier Park so super close. You can go for a leisurely stroll on the beach, through pier Park, and explore the attractions along Front Beach Road.The apartment was clean, and well furnished. Amazing

The room was very clean, it was everything it said it was in the ad on the internet! The condo had everything that you would not think of to bring from home! So it was a very well thought out place and the owners are just as goof if not better! I had direct contact with John and if you needed ANYTHING he would reply very fast and help out as much as he could! I would highly recommend this one from John!

Fall Break

clean!! and perfect for us

My husband and I recently spent a week in unit 1803E at Calypso. One of the first things I noticed when I walked in was how clean the unit was and that is very important to me. John Hughes was so easy to work with. He answered all my questions and always got back to me in a timely manner. The location is so convenient to Pier Park with all it has to offer, shopping, dining and entertainment in one location The beach is steps away and the beach chairs and umbrella included with this unit was a big plus for us. To sum it up, this unit was perfect for the 2 of us. I would definitely check with John before booking another vacation In PCB.

Beautiful - Comfortable Stay!

Exceeded our expectations! We absolutely loved our time here and highly recommend it to others! We were very close to Pier Park and just a short drive to anywhere else we wanted to visit including St. Andrews Park. The view is amazing! Our first night we saw dolphins jumping and playing right from the balcony. Everyday after there were turtles stingray fish etc to watch. The pier is close by to visit and numerous restaurants and attractions and stores. One of the best locations at Panama City. Condo was beautifully decorated and calming. Everything we needed was there as if we had lived there already. It was a very memorable time. Thank you Hughes family!

Simply amazing

Prime location right across from Pier Park. Tons of things to do within walking distance. The condo has everything you need including a few beach chairs and nets to crab hunt. It is decorated very nicely and you can tell the Hughes family takes fantastic care of their property. Check in/out was a breeze and when I needed another car registration ticket when we arrived, Mr. Hughes had it to me in less than 5mins. Superb customer service!!! I highly recommend

Calypso 1803E

We loved our stay at Calypso! John and Linda have a beautiful condo that they take great pride in. The condo is clean and the furnishings offer everything you would need. The location is the best. Right on the beach and walking distance to Pier Park. We barely used our car the entire time we were there. We have been home a week, and we are ready to go back!!!

Beautiful trip to the Gulf.

Perfect Beach Vacation

When we arrived, everything was clean, very well decorated and comfortable. The unit was just the right size for the two of us and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for meals. We definitely will be back next year.

A perfect Get-Away

My daughters and I spent a lovely week in this condo for our spring break get-away and it was perfect! The location kept us from having to travel by car as we walked to Pier Park to eat every single night but one. Avoiding the traffic was awesome and walking allowed my older children to stay and walk back after mom was ready to be back at the condo relaxing. The condo was beautifully decorated, very clean, equipped with all we needed. Loved our chairs on the beach and the chairs on the balcony were a perfect height to see the beautiful sunset over the water! We had the best week and can’t wait to find the time to return. Small thing—A couple things I will throw in the bag next time is a few extra trash bags and a small bottle of dish soap.

Beautiful ocean-front condo right on the beach

Great beach-themed condo right on Panama City Beach. Spectacular view on the gulf and sunset from the 18th floor balcony. So convenient to just walk out onto the beach and have two lounge chairs and umbrella waiting for you. Comfortable king size bed in separate master bedroom along with separate bathroom. Location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping at Pier Park. John and Linda (the owners) easy to work with and very attentive. Would highly recommend this property.

We had a great time in PCB , we especially loved the condo we rented from John 1803 East Wing , we had a couple of minor problems but John was right on it . We loved being close to pier park, Walmart and most of the stores . .we would definitely stay there again . Loved being on the 18 Th floor felt like we had our own aquarium. Thanks john for everything , 2 happy Canadians .

Beautiful Clean Condo in a Terrific Location!

Sparkling clean condo located steps from Pier Park. Exactly as pictured! View from the balcony is breathtaking. Tasteful decor and super comfortable bed. Washer/dryer is always appreciated when traveling. A home away from home! Everything absolutely top notch! John, the owner was super friendly and always available to answer any questions or concerns. Would definitely recommend to friends or family and looking forward to staying there again.

Thanksgiving at Calyspo

My husband and I had a quick trip down for Thanksgiving to visit his brother. John was great to work with even with our short notice during a holiday week and also checked in with us during our stay. Condo was beautiful, bed was very comfortable and location was very convenient. Would highly recommend staying in this unit, especially when you have an owner that is so accommodating! Spring Get Away

My husband and I visited in mid May. The condo was very nice and clean. Since our time was limited we found John to be extremely nice and accommodating to work with us on the days we had planned. We will definitely call him first on our next visit. There were no "hidden surprises" ! Everything was just as it was stated. Also, the bed was very comfortable and not like so many that have been in the units where we have stayed in the past.

A perfect place on the beach!

I have been attending the Seabreeze Jazz Festival for many years. I have stayed in many condos. I really loved this condo because of its location, price and its feeling of “home”. The building is located directly in the beach and a short stroll from Pier Park . John, the owner was great to work with. He is extremely nice and a great communicator! I wish I could give more than five stars!

Spring Break 2018

This is the first time we have stayed at this condo and it was very nicely decorated and clean. We had two teenage girls with us so the bunk beds worked out great as well as the second full bathroom. All of the amenities needed were included and the beach chair service was a nice added touch as well! The proximity of Calypso to Pier Park is fantastic as it is walking distance.

GREAT WINTER ESCAPE!

We just spent 2 months in PCB at this wonderful condo located on the 18th floor, overlooking the beach, pools and pier! Views are spectacular! Condo is clean, has plenty of room with a modern and beachy decor. All essentials are included. Very comfortable furniture, appliances worked perfectly, bathrooms are a good size and nice king size bed. A large HD TV, excellent internet connection and Netflix as a nice bonus! Everything you would need for the beach was provided. It’s in a perfect location right next to Pier Park and on the beach. A short walk to the pier, excellent restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Plenty of golf courses within a short drive. We had coffee on the balcony in the morning, cocktails at sunset and watched dolphins throughout the day. Amazing beach front view! Overall a great place to stay!John was exceptional to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. Also contacted us during our stay to make sure everything was OK. Would highly recommend this condo. We’ve already booked our next stay here!! Thank you John!
