Manatee Corner, Paradise Found

Our home is a unique tropical paradise in Key Largo. Our kids named it Manatee Corner for the friendly visiting Manatees. It’s a three-story duplex, open concept with a wrap around balcony. We are blessed with a canal that opens to the Atlantic Ocean providing direct access to the most incredible fishing and snorkeling the only living coral barrier reef in the Continental United State. You can also just relax in one of the numerous sand bars. We are in central Key Largo minutes from everything. The Duplex is composed of two tastefully designed private apartments. Each unit has one Master bedroom a second bedroom, two bathrooms, living room, a full kitchen with open dining and views of dock. They each sleep six guests comfortably. Every room has huge glass windows and doors to bring the outside in and a huge wrap around balcony to talk the nights away. Included are kayaks, fishing gear, and bikes to cruise the town.

Unique Benefits

Our dock can hold 2 boats between 20' and 30' or 1 large 38' and use is included with the rent. We have plenty of parking for cars and trailer. We are centrally located in Key Largo, minutes from everything. And of course a large patio to gather and reflect the days adventures over the BBQ.

Why Kids Love It

Kids love being here because its a nice place but its really all about being with the family that makes this truly special. We also have WI-Fi, streaming television with Netflix and a multitude of other channels. They mostly enjoy their own bedroom to play with the games we provide, and a huge window overlooking the Canal and beautiful sunsets.

Area Information

We are in central Key Largo approximately one mile from the Overseas Highway mile marker 100, on the Atlantic Ocean side. Minutes to several diving, fishing, snorkeling, bottom glass charters, dive shops, restaurants and a host of other things, but not to close to the noise. Must-do's are: John Pennekamp Park, and for the adventurer is swimming with Dolphins at Dolphins Plus, or Chartering one of the many to choose from aquatic activities. In the evenings a sunset dinner is a must.

Attractions Within Walking Distance

The John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park has a week’s load of activities, snorkeling, SCUBA, Eco tours and a host of other things. Also, you can swim with Dolphins at our favorite place, “Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder” walking distance from home and it’s a non-profit Marine Mammal rescue. For the kiddies young and old Jacob’s Aquatic Park is an option, it has a kids water area and an Olympic swimming pool. The Pilot house Marina just down the street provides many private charter services from deep sea fishing to just snorkeling the reefs. This is also home of the popular Pilot House restaurant and The Largo Fisheries restaurant, only a brief ten minute walk .

Favorite Places To Eat

To say that Key Largo has great places to eat is a gross understatement. If you asked which is my favorite I honestly would not be able to answer that. There's over 50 restaurants within five miles. So I'll mention as many as I can that are near by; Eco Eats (cheap & healthy), Pilot House and Key Largo Fisheries are at the Marina down the Street, Bay-side Grill (Sunset), Snooks (Sunsets), Cafe Largo, Key's Bites, Buzzards Roost, D J's Diner, and Mrs. Mac's Kitchen. This is only the tip of the Iceberg.

A good tip is to get on the computer or phone, identify what activity you want to do and see which provider has the best deals, They change rates based on many factors, and it never hurts to ask for a discount. If you are going to a sunset dinner get there early.
*Most important is "ENJOY YOUR TRIP" don't allow anything to disrupt that.
