1204 sq. ft. Mermaid House was just recently renovated and is a brand new second level vacation rental! This home is in a great central location, not far from Winn-Dixie, Bahia Honda State Park and Key West!
Decorated with a warm coastal feel, this home has an open floor plan with large glass windows! The home is a corner of the canal and has 30' of dockage on one side and 20' on the other side and a gorgeous tropical back yard with everything you need for the perfect Keys vacation - pool with jets, grill, outdoor refrigerator, 1 kayak, and 2 bikes, screened in porch and plenty of outdoor furniture!
The Master has a king-size bed, a flat-screen tv, large closets and an ensuite bathroom, as well as a private balcony! The 2 Guest Rooms upstairs have a queen bed, and a large closet with a hall bath. The Guest Room downstairs has one full-size daybed and one twin-size daybed, a flat-screen tv, and a half bath.

Ramrod Key is centrally located in the Lower Keys. The local Winn Dixie grocery store is on Big Pine Key. Looey Key Resort is within walking distance of the house for snorkeling tours and dive shop. There are also boat rentals, paddle boards and kayaks (they will deliver them to the house), and charter fishing boats available to rent nearby. Beautiful Bahia Honda State Park is only 10 miles away, and all the activities of Key West are down the road about 27 miles.
Not to mention several tiki bars and restaurants that are all located within a 5 mile radius of the house. Both Looey key and Boondocks are within walking distance and have various activities throughout the weekend.

Additional Rules
Our pet fee is $ 50. Limit 2. We do require that you tell us what kind of dog and the weight. We reserve the right to not allow the dog on the property. If we find that you have not been truthful about the type and number of dogs, you will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be provided. We will send a separate payment request for the pet fees as needed.
We require that our guests manage their trash through their stay. If there is an excessive amount of trash left for the housekeeper to manage, there will be a $75 charge.
We ask that the guest also clean the grill to the best of their ability. If the grill is left excessively messy there will be a $75 charge that goes to the housekeeper to clean.
The number of guest that are allowed to stay at the house is 6. Visitors to the home are allowed but we want to avoid having more than 6 people stay over night. This of course can be flexible and permissible with advance notice, however a violation of this rule may lead to a $75 dollar charge.
Lastly no parking under the roof of the house is permitted. Parking cars may damage the floor of the downstairs patio.
There are security cameras outside of the property and although not monitored at all during guest's stay, we do reserve the right to check them in case of any incidents or property damage.

I cannot say enough good things about our month-long stay at Mermaid House, so I'll keep it simple, just book it!!! The outside living area was our most favorable spot. (There is one caveat... be VERY careful on the painted floor, as it's extremely slippery when wet.) We would love to return, as this home checked off all of our "boxes".
