The East End neighborhood has that “Old Florida” vibe that Forgotten Coast visitors love, family-friendly atmosphere, and spectacular views of St. George Island’s award-winning beaches. The Salty Pickle is on the edge of the Gulf Beaches area -- 1.8 miles to local shops, markets, restaurants, nightlife, St. George Lighthouse Museum and playground, fishing pier, and just two and a half miles to the State Park. The charming shops, restaurants, galleries and historic attractions of Apalachicola are just 20 minutes away by car.
OUTSIDE:
Spend your days splashing in the waters of the private swimming pool (heated for a fee) or soak up the sun searching for seashells on the unspoiled Gulf beaches. The pool deck extends to underneath the house to provide a shady area to gather by the pool, and a nearby ping pong table and TV under the house provides entertainment between dips in the pool. Just outside the pool deck is a dedicated outdoor regulation cornhole court which is also great for bocce ball. And don’t forget to bring your paddles to take advantage of the full-size private pickleball court!
The enclosed outdoor shower (hot/cold), fish cleaning area, and park-style grill are perfect for beachgoers and boaters after a day on the water. Your dogs will love the large, fenced dog run, which features easy access directly from the deck stairs, as well as a ground level gate.
There’s ample private parking with free Level 2 EV Charging and a covered entry. Enclosed foyer stairs lead to this home’s beautiful interior spaces. Exterior stairs serve both decks, and the exterior elevator is available for guest use (for a fee)
INSIDE:
Fabulous new porcelain plank floors greet you as enter the first floor of this home. This floor also features a second living area with seating for 8, 75” flat screen TV perfect for movies or gaming, coffee bar with mini fridge, and connects to the large screened-deck area big enough to accommodate all 18 guests and featuring its own large flat screen TV.
Sleeping Accommodations at The Salty Pickle are on the first floor and boast the Southwest, South and Southeast king master bedrooms with private full bathrooms, closets, and flat screen TVs, facing the Gulf of Mexico and offer direct lower deck access! The Northeast king master bedroom provides privacy and also has a private full bathroom and flat screen TV. The Northwest bunk bedroom has plenty of space for the little ones with 8 individual beds (1 California King, 1 Queen, 6 Twin XL).
Upstairs, the open and spacious living/dining kitchen area offers amazing views of the Gulf from the wall of windows and sliding doors, which lead out to the large Gulf-facing deck. Enjoy relaxing in the hot tub looking at the Gulf Coast SGI beaches. The comfortable seating area is perfect for enjoying chill time and soothing sea breezes. The upper deck’s large dining area provides options for al fresco dining!
The dining area has 2 large dining tables with seating for 16, and seating for 4 at the large kitchen island, so there is lots of room at mealtime to gather. The Salty Pickle's large kitchen island is perfect for gathering family and friends together, and the beautiful new kitchen with high-end appliances has been stocked with everything needed to create coastal feasts. There is also a half bathroom on the second floor.
All the TVs in the home are new Smart TVs, and in the common areas feature easily accessible HDMI hookups for your gaming systems or other streaming device. Smart Car charging compatible at no extra charge!
