Year Purchased: 1988
About the owner: Our parents moved from Michigan to South Florida in 1972. In 1988, they purchased this property. Our family and now the grandkids have grown up down here enjoying everything the Florida Keys has to offer. My parents would bring us down every chance they got. We would spend most weekends here with our parents and friends. We spent college spring breaks here with lots of friends who still come to visit 30 years later with great memories of time spent here. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and weddings, here. Key Largo holds a special place in our hearts. Our parents were a "the more the merrier" kind. Some of our favorite memories are of fishing, diving, lobstering, water-skiing, wakeboarding, hydrosliding, kayaking, canoeing, and watching all the wildlife.
Why this property? The view is amazing! When our parents found this property, they knew it was perfect! They wanted a vacation home that was an easy drive from Fort Lauderdale so they could jump in the car on Friday afternoon and be there quickly. It's just over the bridge into the Florida Keys. No Florida Keys US-1 traffic to fight. You can watch the sunset from the deck, dock or balcony (or even sitting inside in the air conditioning)! Your view from this property is of open water. As my dad sat on the balcony, he'd look out over the water and say "this is Easy Livin!"

Sooo relaxing
Easy Livin' is the perfect name for this home. My family had a wonderful time spending quality time together making memories. The house was supplied with everything we needed, kitchen items, linens etc. Beds were comfortable and the home was very clean. The breeze coming off the water kept the temperature comfortable enough to sit outside during the day. The dock provides a great place to fish, watch manatees swim by or take in the amazing sunsets. The Walsh family was quick to respond to our questions. Great place to unwind and relax.

Gorgeous and accessible three bedroom right on blackwater sound
What a fantastic place to stay, truly a slice of paradise. It's tucked away from all the traffic and people in a quiet corner of a neighborhood, right on blackwater sound (bay-side), but still walking distance from a grocery store. It's not close to a smelly canal, either. You can watch the gorgeous painted sunsets from the dock, patio, or second story balcony, and you can even sometimes see manatees from the dock.I worked on my dissertation here, and I can't imagine a more tranquil location. I can also imagine having a family gathering there. The kitchen is large and pretty well furnished (not with food but with equipment) and has plenty of space to cook and hang out. The beds are comfy too! One thing to note is that the main eating tables are outside, but both are covered from the rain. I hope to stay again one day!

Perfect Getaway
This rental has everything you could ask for. The house is very clean, the beds are comfortable, large TV in living room, kayak, canoe and the most amazing view. Sitting on the dock in Adirondack chairs watching the sunrise and sunset was extremely relaxing. We saw a manatee, stingray, nurse sharks and all kinds of fish. Make sure to visit Doc's Diner and Lazy Lobster. I will definitely book again.

We had an amazing week in Key Largo. The house is beautiful, comfortable and quiet. We loved sitting on the dock and watching the sunsets. So much wildlife just off the dock, we especially enjoyed seeing the manatees. Convenient to grocery and local restaurants. Can't wait to come back to this little slice of paradise!

Sunset City
This was our first experience staying in Key Largo and this place did not disappoint. From our first day to the last we had nothing but fun. The Walsh's were very generous with their time in helping us navigate the ins and outs of Key Largo, from restaurants to kayak routes. A great experience that we hope will continue next year. PS My dog Max loved the place!

Paradise!
This home is perfect for all - families, couples, friends, or a romantic getaway. The view and accommodations are beyond compare. I’ve stayed here several times and it will always be my go-to place when visiting The Keys. So many things to do- kayaking through the Mangroves, fishing, watching the sunsets, snorkeling. It’s also close to many local places of interest and restaurants. We watched dolphin in the bay and the manatee swim right up to the dock. The owners have thought of everything and always make sure we have everything we need.
