Welcome to the Lunar Beach Bungalow, brought to you by Southbound Stays. Just a short (2.5 block) walk to the beach in sunny Cocoa Beach, our 3-bedroom, 2-bath home provides relaxation and year round sunshine. Whether you're chasing rocket launches, craving a family-friendly escape, or seeking a post-Disney or pre-cruise oasis, this is the place.
Step inside our charming Florida-style retreat, designed for comfort and function. The main living area has an open living floor plan, making it easy to enjoy the company of your group. Two of the bedrooms feature king beds with memory foam mattresses and the 3rd room offers a twin daybed with twin trundle bed. All beds have a variety of soft and firm sleeping pillows.
Beachside living awaits on the screened patio, complete with an outdoor dining table and lounge set. In the backyard, cook up your favorite meal on the charcoal BBQ grill while your family and friends play bean bag toss. soak up the sun in our loungers or play outdoor games. At night, gather around the custom, mermaid fire pit. The front yard and nearby beach provide front-row seats to rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center.
The home is also well appointed with beach gear ranging from beach chairs and umbrellas to playful toys and coolers– plus wagons to carry it all. After a day at the beach, our outdoor shower is perfect to cool down or rinse off in.
Your whole family is welcome at Lunar Beach Bungalow, even the dog(s)! We provide a pack 'n play, high chair, baby monitor, toys, books, and more for the kids and the entire backyard is fenced in with a privacy fence.

Local tour options give you the chance to encounter dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, and experience the magical glow of bioluminescence. Notably, the Brevard Zoo holds the #3 ranking among North American zoos. Across the Space Coast are excellent shopping, dining, and drinking options. -- Important Considerations... let's be sure Lunar Beach Bungalow is the right fit for you and your group:
1. Rental Agreement: All guests must sign a rental agreement within 48 hours of booking (or immediately if arrival is within 48 hours). Failure to sign will result in cancellation of the reservation with applicable penalties.
2. Accessibility: The home is accessible only via a small step at the main entrance.
3. Transportation: Vehicle recommended but walking distance to nearby amenities; bike rentals available nearby.
4. Fencing: Our backyard is fully fenced with a large gate on the right of the home. However, due to unlevel ground, there are small gaps around the perimeter where smaller dogs or "diggers" could escape.
5. Firepit: The firepit is available year-round however there are times the local government may institute burn bans at times which would prevent the use of the firepit.
6. Sleeping Arrangements: 2 king beds + a twin daybed with trundle (2 twins total) accommodating up to 6 guests.
7. Dynamic Rates: Our rates vary based on the day of the week, season, and other factors. Please enter your exact dates and guest count for accurate pricing.
8. Minimum Age: Primary renter must be 21+. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by parents or guardians at all times.
9. Saturday check-ins/checkouts: not available.
10. Pets: We welcome potty trained dogs with a non-refundable pet fee of $25/day. Please indicate the number of dogs (max 2) during or after booking. The pet fee is in addition to your reservation total and will be requested separately after making your reservation. Payment is due within 48 hours of reservation being made or immediately if reservation begins within 48 hours. Cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, and other non-human animals are NOT allowed. Additional pet "house rules" apply.
11. Nature and Pests: Expect bugs in the South. While we take precautions to prevent critters from entering the home, occasional encounters are inevitable.
12. Home Age: Our nearly 80-year-old home underwent a renovation in 2019 however has retained some charming creaks and imperfections unseen in photos.
13. Smart Home / Security Features: Our home is equipped with smart home technology and security devices. Exterior security cameras are installed at the front door facing the walkway and over the garage facing the driveway. There are NO interior cameras present. A noise monitoring device that transmits decibels only (no actual audio) is located in the living room to help us stay in compliance with city & county regulations. Echo devices are available and considered listening devices inside the home. If preferred, echo devices can be unplugged for your stay.

This house has everything you could imagine Newly remodeled, nice screened in porch to eat in and lounge. Excellent outdoor furniture on the rear patio with a grill, fire pit and lots of outdoor games to keep everyone engaged. Kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need plus a tote with items you might have forgot to bring. Lots of toys/board games/beach toys for the kids. It is a great little house 2 blocks from a nice, quiet section of the beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Already have inquired about renting for a whole month next year. Highly recommend

We absolutely LOVE Lunar Beach Bungalow. This is our second time staying there. The improvements were perfect. The beds are so comfy and it is lacking nothing. The extra amenities always go above and beyond our needs. We will be back again next year no doubt!! Megan is the sweetest lady. She left us cupcakes for our birthday celebrations. Beyond the easiest host I've ever worked with on a vacation. Thank you for all you do!!

We have now stayed at several of the Southbound Stays locations and every trip just gets better and better. The Cocoa Beach location truly has anything u could possibly need on top of being the cutest, cleanest house in Cocoa Beach!! Bringing kids? They have so many nice toys, beach toys, games outside...all the things! Going to the beach? They have u covered!! The neighborhood is super cute and very nice, zero loud neighbors, everyone is very friendly. We felt very safe!! And it is sooo close to the best beach, restaurants, shopping, grocery stores etc. We truly have never stayed anywhere where we felt so taken care of and appreciate every detail they put into their homes. The communication is great!! We NEVER have a complaint, they are truly just the best and we will continue to always rent through them

I was so thrilled to have found this location because it was wildly close to the co-op market, and within waking distance to the Publix grocery store, too! We were there for 3 weeks for my husband's work, and only had one car rented, which he needed to drive to and from where he was working during the day, so I needed to be able to get other places, and this house was perfectly located for that.

Our family enjoyed 3 short nights at Lunar Beach Bungalow after a trip to Universal Studios earlier in the week. Lunar Beach Bungalow was perfect for our short stay. A quick, easy walk to the beach. All beach gear needed is provided. All amenities are top notch from the welcome gift, small snacks, starter coffee and tea. Super comfortable beds and bedding. I loved the beach towels provided. I even checked the name of the beach towels so I could order some for our pool at home. We had one small issue with the kitchen facet that corrected immediately by the hosts. Host has amazing communication and tips for the vacation while we were there. Our family would definitely stay with Southbound Stays again in the future. I'm seeing a girls trip to one of their Nashville properties in my future!

My husband and I stayed at Lunar Beach Bungalow in Cocoa Beach with my sister and my 91 year old father. We found it to be wonderfully appointed with very nice bed linens and extremely comfortable beds. As an allergy sufferer, I greatly appreciated the clean, unscented products that were there. The only scented ones were dish detergents. Other nice touches that I appreciated were the good quality paper products and a nice touch was the salt scrub. Completely unexpected was a snack basket and a little basket of goodies - canvas bag, Koozies, etc. Very thoughtful. The screened porch was fabulous and the lounge chairs at the back of the house were great for sitting in the sun.As travelers with a senior, the one thing we would have appreciated were grab bars in the shower.Great stay and we would definitely return if in the area.

My son, my dog and I stayed at the Lunar Beach Bungalow for a little over a week. My husband and other son joined us for the weekend. We had the most incredible and relaxing trip. All of the extras that this home offers are incredible and were truly appreciated. They thought of everything to make the trip stress-free. We spent quite a bit of time at the house because I had to work, but I was able to work outside in the screened-in patio, enjoying the fresh air and soaking up the warmth. The area was so much fun to explore at night and on the weekend. The beach was perfect. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for walking the dog. We drove over to the dog beach several times and fully enjoyed that as well. I already can’t wait to get back there for my next trip!!!

Parents know that vacations are often more work than they are worth when traveling with little ones, but this beach house was the perfect fit for our family. The hosts thought of everything parents may need on vacation so you don't have to! From the beach wagons to the umbrellas and the sand toys, it has everything you need so all you have to pack is your swimsuit:) The best part is, it was walking distance to the beach without crossing any major roads. We could easily walk back for the kids' nap and then head back for an evening picnic! We were also able to enjoy a fun putt putt course, which was right across the street, and explore Ron Jon Surf Shop just around the corner! We can't wait to come back and explore more.Thank you, Megan and Richard, for thinking of everything! Our family was able to enjoy a true vacation this time without the hassle of lugging high chairs and toys. We highly recommend and will definitely be back!
