While you are here, you will want to visit Siesta Key Public Beach and put your toes in the world famous white sand which consists of 99% pure quartz, ultimately derived from the southern Appalachians. Over millennia, rivers carried the grains of sand into the Gulf of Mexico and south along Florida’s coast. Those quartz grains are fine, without any coral or shell fragments, which results in sand with a soft, flour-like texture.
Sarasota is known as the Cultural Center of Florida with many live theaters and art galleries. Definitely worth a visit is the Ringling Campus with the State Art Museum of Florida, the Circus Museum and Ca’ d’Zan Mansion on Sarasota Bay. Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is another very special attraction in Sarasota for both adults and children.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we reserve any 7 nights?
Typically we rent Saturday to Saturday, especially from late Jan thru mid April and June thru mid August. At other times we are flexible.
Do I need a car?
There is a free trolley that runs up and down the island and picks up at Turtle Beach every 1/2 hour from 10am - 10pm or even earlier and later during season. There are also free ride companies that work for tips.
The boat dock is free is I bring one or rent one while there?
Yes, the dock is free and first come, first serve. Trailers must be kept off property and the office has suggested locations like storage facilities that are very inexpensive.
What is the sand like?
Our beach was rebuilt with sand from the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, then brought close to us by a barge and then piped up onto the shore. Though the tides change, we currently have 150 ft. of beach. It is similar to many beaches on the Gulf Coast. We do recommend a visit to the #1 Siesta Key Public Beach to touch the soft white sand made from quartz crystals. The free trolley can take you there or enjoy a family bike ride.
Excellent stay .
Don’t want to give a good review on this place so it won’t be booked the next time we want it! Everything was perfect! Loved loved loved!

Right on the ocean
This condo was very nice and gave our family plenty of room to relax and have fun. Everything we needed was right there! Much better than being in a hotel. You could walk out the back door and be right on the beach or walk out the front door to the cove with a dock. My son was in fishing heaven abd caught many fish from the cove and the ocean. We enjoyed having the gas grill and the kitchen to cook meals and then having the oceanfront view to eat them with!
