This 1940's home has been updated/restored. Quaint 2 bed 2 bath. Front and back porches. Home sits on 1/2 acre on Lake Rousseau with direct access to Rainbow River and Withlacoochee.
Nice dock for you to fish from or launch a kayak. (kayaks provided). Bring your boat and park it at dock under cover. Boat ramp 5 min away. Watch the squirrels, wide variety of birds, ducks, rabbits, otter, turtles and the occasional gator from the dock or the large back covered porch.
Nice firepit for those cool nights or if you prefer there is an electric fireplace in living room.

"Thanks for the review. Our neighborhood is all on wells. And depending on the water tables is if you have a smell or not. I try my best as I have a whole house water system and extra filter. And that is why I also provide bottled water. The water is safe though. Glad you like the home overall though."

We have spent four peaceful days enjoying the beauty of this home . The owners really did a excellent job restoring this home to its beauty . We loved The 176 year old tree in the back yard to the awesome deck to fish off of this home provides a nice getaway to relax and enjoy . What an absolute wonderful relaxing location for a vacation. Close to all amenities and fun activities like swimming with the manatees in Crystal River.The cottage is well stocked and comfortable. The owner is lovely and responsive to any queries or needs you may have.We will definitely be back!

This country home with its large property & view of Lake Rousseau was the best vacation house we’ve ever rented. Could not ask for more. The interior was amazingly decorated, homey but with modern state of the art appliances. The cleanest place we have ever rented. Lovely porch to view lake with birds & squirrels plus , up closer & fully equipped. We have booked it 2 more times to secure more time there as this beautiful home is very popular. We just fell in love with it. You will love this home. Renter Virginia.

Five stars in not enough. House is adorable. Everything you need for a stay. Very cozy and charming. View is amazing. Close to everything; crystal river, rainbow river, Homosasa, Weeki Wachee etc... Also a short drive for groceries and dining. If you have been wanting to come explore this area then this is the place to stay. We will book again for sure. Vicki also answered all of questions and sent me info on the area. She was available anytime.

We love this home with all of its personal touches to ensure we had a good time! We loved the back porch, took the kayaks out, (we also went tubing and paddle boarding on Rainbow River), visited the local restaurants and truly relaxed. It was a perfect getaway️

we loved staying at Vicki's lake home. it was clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms nicely updated, great washer/dryer. the porch was perfect for watching the lake and all the wonderful wildlife. The fact that is was pet friendly was a huge plus. Very peaceful. Great grocery shopping close by and only 30 minutes to Ocala where everything you want to feel back in the city. thanks!!

A great dog friendly lake cottage. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Super quiet and relaxing. Grocery shopping only 8 miles away. If you want bigger city amenities Ocala is a short 25 minute drive. Updated bathrooms and lovely porch to watch all the wildlife on the lake. Gas grill was used even on cooler nights. Beds are super comfy. So glad we visited this winter.

We had a great weekend getaway at the lake house. Took the jet skis all the way up the Rainbow River (the boat ramp is just around the corner from the house). Enjoyed our time fishing from the dock and catching a glimpse of a gator. Utilized the grill a few nights and paid a visit to The Loft down the street another night. This place is super clean and had everything we needed for 4 adults. Thank you!
