1195 sq. ft. This luxurious home overlooking Cudjoe Bay on the Atlantic Ocean is part of Sunrise Beach Resort, an exclusive gated community built in 2007 with 11 total homes. This is #109 and I also rent 111 and 107 in case you need more than one. We are 90 feet from the water's edge facing Southwest. Lounge in your private hammock or enjoy the gorgeous tropical landscaping and cool breezes from the balconies or poolside. Key West is 17 miles away. Your 25’ boat may also dock here.
The $250 cleaning fee is not collected with your reservation but is required. You are asked to leave it inside the home upon departure for the housekeeper. To be clear, this $250 is in addition to the other rental costs and taxes that are collected from you upon booking.

This is a stand-alone home just for you with breathtaking southwest views of the blue-green ocean and sunsets, private bbq and outdoor seating/dining.
Your boat, up to 25 feet, can be kept at the dock for your entire stay in the calm waters directly behind the house. I pay for you to store your trailer off-site.
The common areas of the community are under surveillance by security cameras. These cameras cover the dock space, pool, beach, driveway, front gate, and sections of the carports. There are no cameras within the homes, and the cameras are not monitored in real time. They are used exclusively for reviewing incidents after they occur.
While there are hourly buses to Key West to South and Marathon Key to North, a car is highly recommended.
Looe Key and American Shoal Reef can be seen from the house where you’ll find the most beautiful snorkeling and diving reefs in the keys along with excellent fishing. Fish or kayak right off the dock or you can venture out to experience the history and action in Key West located only 17 miles away. In the immediate area you’ll find several very good fine dining and casual restaurants, grocery, liquor store, and Cudjoe Garden’s Marina, a full-service marina offering boat rentals. The only 18-hole miniature golf course in the keys is located 15 minutes away. Bahia Honda State Park and the Dolphin Research Center, which offers dolphin encounters, are other area attractions 30 to 60 minutes away

EllenJohn's place is beautiful and comfortable. The outdoor areas are inviting with the gas fireplace and seating below the unit. We didn't have time to use the hammocks, bikes, kayaks, or sup's. However, if we'd stayed longer, they would have been very much appreciated. We loved the pool area, and other guests were very friendly.

CasperFamily with three smaller kids. We really enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Resort. It is located well in the keys, within fair driving distance to key west and other attractions. The house has a really nice homely feel to it, which we very much enjoyed. The two balconies offer nice views of the bay, and our kids loved to play in the sand and pool. We tried out the kayaks which was also great fun. If you like a bit of exercise, then the old US-1 is across the street, which I used for a run in the mornings. The house has all amenities you need for a family - just bring your good spirit.

Jill H.Nicely equipped, well maintained, quiet property. The bikes and kayaks were a nice touch and the house had everything we needed and more. My only criticism on this property was the pull out couch. The house was listed as a 6 person unit. We had 6 people stay and two had to spend 6 nights on the pull out couch, which is basically an air mattress that didn’t even seem to be queen sized. Having one adult or two children on the pull out may be ok, but two full size adults just wasn’t comfortable. Overall, great property though and I would recommend staying here.

JessicaUnit 109 was exceptional. It was fully stocked with cookware, the washer and dryer was super nice to have for our big family, beds were comfy, and everything was clean. We loved having kayaks to use in the bay, and the boat dock was awesome for our rental boat. We loved the patio, and it was so awesome to sit on the dock at night and watch for falling stars as there’s minimal light pollution. Murray’s market was nice for getting a few things and ice, and the Winn Dixie 15 minutes away was great for bigger grocery trips. The grill worked nicely. Fish cleaning station was sweet. We had the very best time. Ten stars.

Srdjan M.Well maintained and clean. Close to beaches and Key West. It has a small beach of it's own that maybe doesn't look too appealing. But if you jump on a kayak and row away a few hundred feet, the water is beautiful. Our unit was great. I wuld just add more utensils. There were around 4-5 spoons, wich for a group of 5 is not that much.

KimOceanside 109 was just a promised - a great home away from home for a week! The amenities provided were much appreciated - kayaks, bikes, fire pit & more. The commons areas (pool & dock) were well maintained. The home itself was stocked with things like coffee filters, a few basic cooking items (oil, salt/pepper), TP, paper towels, etc.. Communication with John, the owner, was very thorough prior to our stay, complete with check-in instructions, area guides for activities & restaurants, and a few other pertinent details. During our stay, our inquiries were handled quickly & to our satisfaction. We love the Cudjoe Key area - quiet, beautiful & just close enough to many activities & restaurants, including in Key West. We will be back!

Sara D.John's condo is really gorgeous. It is spotless, well decorated, and very comfortable. The beds are comfy with lovely linens, the chairs and sofa for watching TV are also comfortable. All the mechanicals work well and you have calming water views.We went to Key West a couple times but were so happy to come home to the quiet relaxation of our condo.We visited the Turtle Hospital and walked the beach of Bahia Honda.There are really good restaurants within a few minute drive. Broil and Square Grouper were both exceptional.John is a great host! He communicates well and is very responsive.I would definitely be a repeat visitor here!

Glynn ChristalCheers to another stay at sunrise cottages in Cudjoe Key. This time we stayed in house number 109. It was fabulous, fantastic with great views! Clean and efficient. Stocked with everything we could use and then some. My kids love it here. It’s safe and tranquil. Gorgeous views of the bay to ocean side. We had perfect weather Labor Day week. Booked last minute. The community is very private with a gated fence cameras and just so delightful. It’s such a peaceful experience staying on this property. We keep our boat here at the dock and John takes care of the trailer fees, which is such a courteous gesture. John goes above and beyond to make sure we’re comfortable and he is just a phone call away if we need anything. Thanks John. This is our second booking this year with him. Feliciathis was our first family vacation with our two toddlers. our initial appeal in booking john’s place was that he offered a portable crib and a pack n play for our kids to sleep in. john was super helpful making sure we had everything we’d need for our boys including a booster seat for them to eat meals in, and went so far as to bring over a toy walker for them to use during our stay. the place was incredibly comfortable. the outdoor space, (two balconies, carport area with fire pit, grill, hammock) gave us the chance to have a relaxing drink with a view after the kids went to bed. pool overlooks the water, is beautiful, has plenty of lounge chairs. john has kayaks, paddle boards, bikes available, which is amazing. as well as plenty of amenities for boaters, which we are not, but feels relevant to mention. we definitely look forward to staying here again. thanks for a great stay.

Bonus was the kayaks and bikes available to use as was the hammock! Pool was great! We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We really enjoyed this condo. It was clean, comfortable, cool, and had a beautiful view. It had the little extras that some places don’t have (plenty of laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs, paper towels, trash sacks, TP, etc). The beds were comfortable. It was a little ways from shopping and much in the way of dining options, but we knew that going in. The kayaks were fun. Would definitely recommend.

"Some of my favorite restaurants in lower keys are less than 5 miles away. Broils right across the street is a steak and seafood place that has never disappointed. Imaginative dishes and small town feel. My New Joint and Square grouper share a kitchen with music and tapas upstairs and full dining downstairs with excellent seafood, just 1 mile south. South of the Seven is in Sugarloaf 4 miles South and really great views and food for all. Lesser priced options at Boondocks nearby."

The place we stayed unit 111 was awesome! Great location, well stocked, very clean, and water front! The attention to detail was great. They even had soaps and shampoos. Well stocked kitchen too and the owner was great to work with. Highly recommend this rental.
