Candy Kitchen in Madeira Beach has some amazing ice cream!
Salt Rock Grill has a fantastic vibe and is one of Florida’s best—they offer surf and turf, tuna poke bowl, and more. Try to visit before 5:00 for great prices, and give them a call ahead.
Middle Grounds Grill is always a good choice (just a four-block walk south). TJ’s in Indian Rocks Beach is a 15-minute drive north but definitely worth it (they have outdoor seating). Conch Republic is in Madeira Beach (a 5-minute drive) and has a lively Key West feel.
La Croisette is a great spot for breakfast.
Taco Bus is just a 5-minute drive south.
Bohemios Tapas restaurant is located in downtown St. Pete.
There are several good Italian restaurants within 5 minutes of Treasure Island . . . or we just really love Italian food.

Mazzaro’s Italian Market might be a bit of a trek (about 20 minutes), but I promise you, it’s worth the drive—it’s the best!
Gulf Bistro is a lovely, hidden French restaurant that feels like you’ve stepped into Paris, nestled in Madeira Beach. It might be easy to miss on your first visit, but once you discover it, you’ll feel like you’re in the heart of Paris.
The Floridian Restaurant in St. Pete is famous for its Cuban & Spiced Pork sandwiches.
Ricky T’s and Caddy’s are local favorites, and they can get quite lively, so be ready for a fun atmosphere.
Sloppy Joe’s (located in the Bilmar hotel) is a fantastic spot for live music and the relaxed Key West vibe. You’ll often find a cozy spot right by the beach, and the live music really adds to the Key West on-the-beach feel.
