The two bedrooms have King-size beds.

About the owner: Margaret and Bill Walsh
On our first visit to Marco Island, we fell in love with the friendly community, the beach, and the variety of activities on the island. We knew we'd be back. After seven years of staying at the Marriott properties, and with very generous friends, we decided to become owners. We are very happy to be here and enjoy the island and all it has to offer. We spend a few months here each year and hope to make our stays longer.
Our home base is in Hunter, NY, by the Hunter Mountain ski area. Skiing is one of our shared passions. In fact, that's how we met! We were ski instructors for two local ski tour companies and met on the hotel's dance floor. Golf and cycling are also passions of ours and there's plenty of that in Marco Island and the surrounding areas.
We're Bronx and Brooklyn born New Yorkers. We've lived in many NYC areas, wand were ready to explore new locations. Our two sons, daughter-in-law (she's like a daughter to us), and granddaughter (who is growing up way too fast! ) live in SC and join us in Marco Island when they can get away. My profession includes partnering with executives who want to grow their leadership capabilities, and I teach executive coaching at Columbia University. Most of that I remotely, giving me even more time to enjoy Marco Island.
We've been blessed with time to enjoy our family and our friends, and Marco Island has been a special place for us to do just that!
Why this property? This is a second home for us and we wanted a vacation place that would be both comfortable and manageable. The Essex meets our needs. The building is well managed and has the amenities that we wanted, including a communal pool, covered parking, storage locker for beach chairs and bikes, and no higher than six floors.
Other reasons for choosing The Essex are the close proximity to beach access, easy walks to excellent restaurants, mini-golf, movie theater, ice cream, live music and kayak rentals.
We hope you enjoy the gulf breezes and the sunsets from the lanai as much as we do!

Ken and C.Perfect Place to Stay!
We are return guests to this lovely Essex Condo unit because the owners are so great to work with, the location is perfect for us, and we enjoy the friends we have made in the area! We really like being able to walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, and a theater! Publix grocery store, Walgreens, and Dollar Tree are a quick 2 mile drive away. The condo itself has recently been remodeled to include beautiful tile floors and walk-in showers, deluxe appliances, master closet organizers, and many extras. We appreciate the covered parking and the storage unit stocked with beach chairs, a wagon, and useful items. The hosts, Bill and Margaret, are very helpful with information and attentive to any needs. This is THE place you'll want to stay!!

Our stay on Marco Island was so great. Margaret was so pleasant to work with. She provided a list of so many restaurants to try out. We joined the FB grp for Marco Island and learned a lot as well, but really didn't need to with her list. This was in walking distance to the beach and lots of restaurants. The wagon , beach chairs and beach towels were so nice to have. The pool was warm and we enjoyed that daily. The condo had everything you could ask for, the kitchen had spices and coffee, etc., the bathrooms had shampoo, cream rinse, soap, there was laundry soap, et. Everything you could ask for :). We would love to visit again, but we have a dog and want to take her along with the next time we visit.

Keri S.Relaxing Marco Island Getaway - Absolute Must
This was our first time visiting Marco Island and staying at the Essex. We were more than pleased with this condo. The condo is exactly as described online and very clean. It is only a short walk to the beach and included all the necessities such as beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, and beach cart. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen as well as stocked with essential amenities. The owner was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond for us. She offered lots of advise for places to eat and things to do. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this condo. Thank you for everything and looking forward to returning. Kevin & Keri
