1888 sq. ft. This newly updated, beautiful home has a canal on two sides and includes a fishing dock! The palms trees and landscaping around the home offers our visitors a peaceful and private setting. Whether you have spent the day at the beach (located just 15 min away) or a day on the golf course (choose from several courses located right here in the village), you can look forward to spending a relaxing evening barbequing by the pool that overlooks the canal.
The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and is a split bedroom floor plan. The kitchen is fully stocked with things we feel our visitors would need to prepare meals at home. Off of the kitchen is a breakfast area with seating for 4 that overlooks and has sliding doors out to the lanai and pool. There is a kitchen bar with stools for additional seating. The dining room offers adequate seating as well. The living room also has sliders that open out to the lanai and swimming pool giving the home an open and breezy feeling! The master bedroom has its own access to the lanai and pool as well. The master bathroom has two sinks, walk in shower and a walk in closet . The other two bedrooms are located on the opposite side of home with queen beds, dressers, night tables and a hall bathroom with a tub/shower, large vanity and sink. Linens are provided.
The lanai is set up with a grill, table and chairs, and two loungers.
Beach chairs, umbrella, and bikes are stored in garage for your use. High speed internet/WIFI, smart TV is available.
Please note that laundry detergent, dish detergent and garbage bags are not provided. A couple rolls of toilet paper, paper towels and a dish detergent pod will be provided to get you started!

The view of the pool the minute we walked through the front door, drew us through the living room and straight out the sliding doors!! We just stood there and took in the beauty of the entire backyard. Sitting by the pool you are overlooking two canals and a fishing dock, yet you are surrounded by tropical palms, trees, landscaping and even an avocado tree! We are from the Ozarks and surrounded by beautiful scenery. We immediately felt right at home!
Why Kids Love It
Little kids and big kids will love the heated swimming pool and all of the wild and exotic birds! The yard is plenty big enough for them to play in and of course there is the fishing dock to fish off of. Board games, puzzles and cards are available for times when everyone needs to sit back and relax. Having 4 grown children of our own, we keep children in mind when it comes to our renters!
Rotonda West sits near the Gulf of Mexico, in southwest Florida, between Sarasota and Fort Myers. It’s a great place for those who enjoy the warm weather and the outdoors. 30 miles (48 km) of ponds, lakes, and canals make their way through the city, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy the water. There are beaches, parks, wildlife, and five golf courses to explore.

Rotonda Community Park and Preserve. Bring your entire family for a picnic at the pavilion. Bike trails and barbecue grills are scattered all over the park, along with picnic tables and tennis courts.
For the golfer, Rotonda Golf and Country Club operate 5 golf courses in Rotonda West. Other courses are available in Charlotte/Sarasota County.
Explore the wonderful Amberjack Environmental Park, a 225-acre (91-hectare) preserve located in Cape Haze peninsula. Oak scrub and flatwood habitats fill the park, and some of the plants are myrtle oaks, wiregrass, palmetto, and slash pine. In the dry habitats of Amberjack live indigo snakes, tortoises, and Florida mouse.
Phoenix Rising Kayak Tour. If you’d like to explore this part of southwest Florida by water, booking a kayak tour is a great option. Phoenix Rising offers eight different tours to choose from, in the area. Choose the Woolverton Trail tour, to kayak through a maze of tunnels carved from the mangrove forest. You’ll see a pelican rookery, dolphin hunting grounds, and if the waters are warm enough, the Florida Manatee.
Little Gasparilla Island offers seven miles (11 km) of beach to explore. In the summer, sea turtles nest and lay their eggs in the warm sand. Shelling and hunting for prehistoric shark teeth are popular activities on the island. This beach near Rotonda West is the perfect place to enjoy cool tropical breezes in the summer and the warmth of the sun in the winter.
The Cape Haze Pioneer Trail is an 8-mile (12.9-km) trail, running along a former railroad corridor. It’s a popular spot to bike, walk, and run. There’s a historic bunkhouse, previously owned and used by the railway company, which can be viewed along the trail.

This is a lovely home from home. Lovely setting and very quiet and peaceful. This is rented out by the owners and not a company, which we prefer to deal with as you can get in touch with them straight away so everything runs efficiently and smoothly. Everything is there for you to enjoy. Great pool with the sun all day. Everywhere is clean and well cared for. There was a lovely fresh smell as we walked in and everywhere was dressed impeccably. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Coastal Soul is a wonderful home on an awesome lot that corners two canals! My wife and I spent the entire month of January here and it felt so much like home. The house is perfect for any couple or family looking for a restful and enjoyable place to stay. The layout and decorations are so inviting, and the lot sitting on a corner of two canals is so peaceful and relaxing. We spent a majority of our time sitting in the lanai watching all of the water fowl and yes, two alligators swimming in the canal. Our grandson absolutely loved the heated pool. The house is so well stocked that all you need to bring is your clothes. Greg and Leigh are wonderful hosts and very easy to contact and communicate with. After just a few conversations, I now feel like I have a new friend in Missouri. Our time at Coastal Soul was by far the best vacation we have ever been on. We definitely hope to return one day!

Leigh and Greg were the most WONDERFUL, THOUGHTFUL, ATTENTATIVE AND SWEET owners of any home we've rented so far!!! Their home was gorgeous, and had everything you needed. They also had up to date appliances, and big tv's in all bedrooms! That's unusual, usually you get a teeny tiny one, if any, in the master bedroom only! We paid to have the pool heated, and it was PERFECT!!!!! 86 degree average pool temp! We have nothing to complain about! They ONLY thing we'd change would be to have full use of the garage for our car rental. But, we do understand why they kept their car in the garage, so no big deal. Plus, it was warm out, but not too hot to leave our car in the driveway. We'd LOVE to come back! I hope the cleaning people buzzed right through, I tried my best to clean it like it was when we arrived. Thanks again!

We were so excited to escape winter and spend March 2022 at Leigh and Greg's place and everything was great from the moment we arrived. The home is on a canal and is located in Rotonda West, a neighborhood with little traffic making it great for walking/running and riding bikes (which are also available for use), the neighborhood is very clean, safe and friendly. The home is a short car ride away from amenities such as grocery shopping, restaurants and beaches. The home has everything you need for a home away from home, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms with lots of towels available, the kitchen is well equipped, plenty of both indoor and outdoor (plastic) dishes, and all appliances function well, the BBQ outside is also of good size making meal-time a breeze. The lanai and pool area has furniture for outdoor meals, pool lounging (plenty of pool/beach towels) and other activities. There are also beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers available for use making it easy to go to the beach for a full day. The area around the house has a variety of trees and plants/bushes and is home to many different birds and the canal has plenty of fish and we saw alligators from a safe distance on many occasions, needless to say we spent much time in the pool area/lanai. The home owners and the property manager are both very easy to work with and responded very quickly to any and all questions we had. We had an absolutely fabulous stay and cannot wait to return next year. Leigh and Greg - Thanks for sharing your Florida home with us!

We absolutely loved our stay at Coastal Soul. The house is very nice, very well stocked with everything you need. Leigh & Greg are so wonderful to work with. Any questions you have, text and you will get an answer immediately. We felt secure in knowing their assistance was readily available. The pool is so awesome and the doors opening to the patio and pool make it just beautiful. I felt like I was in the Caribbean! It is such a relaxing place to sit to read, watch the birds, etc..We loved Boca Grande beaches & Manasota Beach. Only 5 mile drive to Manasota Beach. We explored Venice Beach, lunch at Sharky’s, Venice is a beautiful town & not far away. Leverocks is a great restaurant nearby in Cape Haze. We enjoyed the big Fleamasters market in Ft Myers & old favorite of ours is Fisherman’s Wharf in Punta Gorda.This home is close to many places and very convenient. I think my favorite about this house is how quiet the neighborhood is. All of the neighbors that I met out walking were very nice and friendly also. There’s no noise at all except for the birds which we enjoyed. We did get to see “Ben” the alligator from a distance, (which was fine) in the canal across from us. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this home, location & the owners. Thank you & I hope am able to come back someday!

We had a family stay with six adults and thoroughly enjoyed this lovely home. The morning sunrise was spectacular with a view across the canal in the Misty Waters with all the wildlife calling in the new morning. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the lovely screened in room. From this lovely home we could drive to the ocean. Enjoyed Venice Beach searching for shark teeth. Rented a pontoon boat for the day enjoying all the activities of the porpoises following us. Enjoy the lighthouse restaurant on our pontoon day. We were here at Christmas and it was a joy. Sincerely appreciate it all the nice accessories of this home. David and Karen Martin

Coastal soul is a home away from home! Leigh and Greg's thoughtfulness is easily apparent in every nook and cranny of the home. Comfortable beds and every amenity you can need- Leigh and Greg have 2 notebooks full of all of the information of the area and activities close from beaches to golf courses to the best restaurants.The kitchen has all the cookware you need, extra blankets for chilly evenings, big fluffy beach towels, shell sifting baskets for the beach, bicycles, pool floaties, and extra coolers. The wildlife is amazing to watch everyday with coastal birds sitting right in the trees by the dock. " Ben" The alligator, and his grandpa "Big Ben" come and visit frequently. They like to float in the canal by the whistle stop.... you can see their nose and sometimes almost all of their bodies out. It is interesting to watch the canal waters raise and fall with the tide and change flow directions. Lots of turtles and little fish to see. It is very peaceful to watch the sunrise on the dock in the mornings and listen to the birds. A few mornings the fog was rolling off the canal water for some beautiful pictures. (Definitely recommend bug spray if you're going to be walking anywhere outside In Florida… unless you like to remember your trip by itching all of the sand flea bites! Lol) The pool and Lanai are enclosed in typical Florida cage fashion. The pool temperature is perfect and the chemical balance as well. No burning eyes or heavy chlorine smell. There are 2 tables on the lanai.....wonderful to have dinner on or play board games. The shaded cool breeze is perfect and two overhead fans to boost if needed. We frequented a few restaurants. The lighthouse had great mahi tacos, fish and chips, and smoked salmon. Perfect to watch the sunset. Leverock has the best coconut shrimp, gumbo, and bloody Mary's! Sitting outside looking at the Marina in the evening with all the boat lights is beautiful. There is a water taxi located there if you want to take it over to Bay rum island for $6. Mama's Italian kitchen has huge portions of shrimp Alfredo that is A-mazing and loaded with tender shrimp!! The lemon cake is light and moist. Laishley has great clam chowder! Ken and Barbs in Englewood..... the Onion rings are to die for! Sit outside if you can, but bring bug spray for sure!! Sits right by a canal and mangrove that is fun to see the big fish. ( Will continue I have more to say! Lol 2500 word minimum)

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Coastal Soul! The house was beautiful and looked exactly like the pictures portrayed. It was clean and well maintained. Our family of 6 enjoyed all the amenities it had to offer. When we weren't visiting nearby beaches for some fun in the sun, you could find us in the pool or fishing. The lanai was spacious and the pool was the perfect size with a shallow end for playing water games and a deep end perfect for doing cannon balls and floating on rafts. Our late night family pool dance parties are some of our favorite memories. The boys loved fishing off the dock and caught different types of Gar and even a few turtles. We saw alligators and exotic birds. Our daughter enjoyed picking her own avocados from the tree in the backyard. The quiet neighborhood was nice for early morning runs. It was peaceful and relaxing. The owner Leigh was really nice and extremely helpful when we had questions. We enjoyed our time there so much that we extended our stay an extra day!
