We had a wonderful vacation. The house was beautiful, clean & had absolutely everything we needed. There was a homemade key lime pie in the freezer when we arrived and it was delicious. We look forward to staying there again.

Perfect for our needs

This new home was exactly what we needed. THREE LARGE BEDROOMS, 4 baths, beautiful views, central Marathon location. Loved the living space underneath the house. Comfortable furniture. Tastefully decorated, and not a lot of kitschy junk taking up counter space like all the other places we’ve stayed. Owner was very responsive. Everything in working order. Only drawback is the noise from the airport, but it was worth it considering everything else.

Perfect for 3 couples

This place is absolutely perfect for 3 couples to come together and have the time of their life while all of us still having our own private space. We rented a 27' offshore boat that was perfectly fine to have docked up behind the house ready to go. Couldn't ask for a better location to be on the water. As soon as you are out of the canal you are on the throttle and fishing in pretty much no time. We were able to bring back some Mahi and Blackfin Tuna without having to run too crazy far. Anytime we go to the keys, this will definitely the place we are staying at again. Truly couldn't ask for anything better. The owners were really friendly and accommodating. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful home in Marathon

This home is beautiful, well appointed and very clean. Upon arrival, we immediately felt at home. The location is super convenient and has direct ocean access. The neighborhood is quiet. Lynn & Freida are wonderful hosts. We will be back!

The Key’s Best!

Be amazed! This delightful home has open views of the ocean in a quiet, peaceful setting. The completely remodeled home has three separate suites which makes it a perfect vacation home with updated decor, furnishings, and a perfectly appointed kitchen. Top it off with an inviting patio and pool, paddle boards, kayaks. Watch the sun rise and set and palm trees sway from this wonderful home.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

My husband and I have vacationed in the FL Keys for several years and we have a certain checklist for homes we rent. Tight Lines met and exceeded our expectations, and then we were blown away by the beauty and comfort of this home, inside and out. The Landry family put their heart and soul into renovating this home after Hurricane Irma, and we felt it the second we walked in the door. They had me with the “Welcome …” note on written on the chalkboard. The key lime pie that “grandma” made and left for us in the freezer was amazing, and such a heartfelt personal touch. The home is tastefully decorated and spacious with an open concept kitchen/dining/living. The kitchen is equipped with every single thing you would need from having your morning coffee to cooking a full meal. There are 3 spacious bedrooms with on-suite baths, each privately tucked in its own corner of the home with beautiful furniture, comfortable king beds, and tv. There is a laundry room with a half bath conveniently off the kitchen/sitting area. This home is spotless! My husband and I sat on the front porch in the mornings to watch the sun rise. We hung out at the canal on the back patio every day because it was the place to be. There is a bar-height table set under shade (they added a sun shade sail on the patio), a heated dipping pool; Adirondack chairs and lounge chairs (beach towels also provided). We chartered a boat with a guide who picked us up right at the dock, caught snapper just out from the canal, cleaned the fish on the fish cleaning table, and cooked on the new gas grill. How perfect! The Landry family lives next door, and are beautiful humans who have gone above and beyond to make guests feel at home at Tight Lines, and we absolutely loved meeting and getting to know them. We came home knowing we have found our home away from home, and new friends that we will be seeing again next year!

Fall Vacation

Perfect lobstering and fishing getaway for our family.

This was our first stay at this location but definitely now our favorite rental location on Marathon. The boating access was easy and very convenient to the reefs. The house was set up great with a bathroom in all three bedrooms and an additional half bath. The house had just been remodeled and was very well done. The small pool was perfect for our needs and the new sun shade worked great. It came with a grill and outside bait freezer which is always a must in our family. And the hosts were great and very helpful. We will definitely be returning next year.

Perfect-Everything!

Tight Lines was the perfect home that our family has ever rented! The location was ideal and just a few miles from everything we needed in town. By boat, we were a short ride away from the most breathtaking reefs, sandbars and shallows that we've ever seen. The convenience to be able to SUP board down the canal and relax in all the surroundings of the ocean was amazing. Lynn and Lora were the ultimate hosts, and thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay. The kitchen was user friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious! They did a beautiful job on the renovation of their home and everything was clean, neat, easily accessible, comfortable and we all had our own space inside and outside. The outside space was amazing! Our group spent a lot of time in the pool and we enjoyed sitting at the outside table under the sunshade. We especially enjoyed getting to know Lynn, Lora and their family while visiting with them outside. They had great tips on different reefs and sandbars to check out by boat in the area. It was also a pleasure to meet Grandma and personally thank her for the best key lime pie any of us had ever had! From the location, renovation, comfort, hospitality, and amenities to the attention to details, Tight Lines is just perfect! We feel blessed to have discovered this gem and for the opportunity to have stayed here and gotten to know Lynn, Lora and their beautiful family. This was our first trip to Marathon and the Keys, but it won't be our last. We are hooked and ready to plan our next adventure back!

Couldn't ask for more!

We had such an amazing time staying at this home. I don't have one negative thing to say about our experience. The Landry's have really went above and beyond to insure that anyone who rents has all the accommodations that they need. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone considering coming to Marathon. I was very comfortable with leaving my 22" bay boat docked at the house for the duration of our trip. I can't say enough about how friendly the Landry's and even the neighbors were. We are already trying to plan our next trip back!

Truly Amazing!

This home is beautiful and the owners are terrific! This home is unlike any rental you've stayed at before and the owners have set the bar so high that I seriously doubt any other rental property will ever top the experience! The home has beautiful high quality finishes, superb workmanship, great attention to detail and a wonderful location! All three bedrooms offer plenty of space, comfortable beds, and privacy while the common areas are perfect for when you're ready to gather together or eat. Do take advantage of the list of owner recommendations! You will not be disappointed! You will be pleasantly surprised at just how good a job these owners have done at thinking ahead and preparing this home for your every need and desire and helping to create one great vacation! Reserve before it's too late and take good care of it. We are already looking forward to our next stay!!

Everything I expected and more!

Our family enjoyed our stay at "Tight Lines. "This home was centrally located in Marathon! What you see in the pictures is what you get. The house was fully stocked like I was at home. The home and property was very clean. Make sure you check the freezer for the forzen "KEY LIME PIE." It was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this home to any family.
