Set Sail 9 is located on South 38th Street, just 2-3 min walk to the beach with no roads to cross. It is a ground level townhome with the open living space with living room, dining area, kitchen and half bath on the bottom floor and the 2 bedrooms are located on the second floor. Outside the kitchen door, you’ll find a fenced patio and a covered deck on the 2nd floor off of the master bedroom that has a gulf view. Each of the bedrooms have TV’s and easy access to a bathroom.

Mexico Beach is a nature lover’s paradise. Many bird species can be found in Mexico Beach. Look around and you'll probably see osprey, bald eagles, pelicans, herons and egrets. At least five species of sea turtles can be found in our area. Loggerhead turtle hatchlings come out in the late summer. Try to spot dolphins as they dive through the waves all year long. Sea turtles, urchins, starfish, crabs, and sand dollars are abundant here as well.

About the owner: Fell in love with Mexico Beach staying at cousins one street over, you will too!
We bought in 2014 to give our kids a familiar place to grow up and experience the ocean. We call Atlanta home but if kids move away, we want to stay in Mexico Beach!
Why this property? Called Mayberry by the Sea for a reason, a small town feel, local business owners, feel safe at all times. Beach to yourself most of the time except summer break but even then not crowded. Owners on each side do not rent their place so peace and quiet is in store. We mostly rebuilt this unit ourselves after hurricane Michael, it is a smart house, allows your phone to connect to the T.V. and stereo system with wall speakers playing your favorite tunes.

Where to begin? Of the places I've rented for a vacation, would I rent this place again? YES! The condo was very nicely maintained, excellent appliances, comfortable beds and furnishings, plus beach chairs & toys (you'll need an umbrella and beach towels), a gas grill filled with gas, nice washer and dryer and dish washer. I have no complaints. Chris was great to work with. We had an internet outage and he called the ISP on our behalf to find out the status. We brought our Roku and was able to use it there. Overall bandwidth isn't fast, but this is not a reflection on the condo or its owner. I bring it up only for those that want/have to do some work while away (hey it happens!). In connecting to VPN's and such for work, prepare yourself for a small struggle, especially if you work for a university. Just an FYI for expectation. For those that want to remain unplugged as it were, you can't go wrong renting here. The place is awesome and a stone's throw to a gorgeous beach! Love, love, love this place and will absolutely rent again.

This is our family favorite vacation spot! The kids LOVE to ride bikes around the neighborhood, but mostly to the beach! The people in the area and very welcoming and kind! Had our Honeymoon here in 2016 and plan to return for our 5th anniversary, April 23rd! The owner is very generous to have beach toys and such out for others to use! So peaceful to relax on this quiet beach with a cocktail in hand and watching the kids play in a safe environment. 100% recommend!!

We spent an extended weekend in this beautiful condo with our children and grandchildren- 6 in all with plenty of room, and lots to do. Shops nearby within walking distance, large kitchen and outdoor grill for family dinners, and the most breathtaking sunset on the white sand beach. A perfect vacation!!
