Isle of Capri Climate
It’s called the “Paradise Coast” for a reason. In tandem with The Everglades and Naples, it's great to visit Isles of Capri with average temperatures in the 80s. Refreshing sea breezes keep visitors and locals alike comfortable and spectacular sunsets over the Gulf can be seen year-round. Beach lovers flock to Marco Island as it boasts over 350 sunny days per year!
Top activities and attractions in Marco Island
Marco Island should begin and end with the beach. Two of the most popular spots are Tigertail Beach and South Marco Beach. Tigertail Beach offers volleyball nets, boardwalks, a butterfly garden, showers, restrooms and umbrella and beach chair rentals. Nearby South Marco Beach also offers a beautiful beach oasis for sunning and activities like snorkeling, parasailing and windsurfing.
For shelling, you’ll want to plan a day trip to Keewaydin Island where kids will love playing and digging, and adults will love the tranquil turquoise waters. Mackle Park is community oriented and beautiful. You can walk the path around the pond, shoot some hoops, shuffleboard, bocce ball, or go inside to the game room. For boating excursions, sunset cruises, and deep sea fishing charters the Isles of Capri Marina is most likely where you’ll be leaving from. These trips out on the water are definitely worth the cost as the experience is unforgettable.
To stay out of the sun for a few hours, a visit to Marco Island Historical Museum is a thrill. Look through the chronological history of the island and learn about the area’s indigenous peoples. Kid-friendly exhibits and informative and helpful staff make this place a must-visit.
For the more outdoorsy visitors, Collier Seminole State Park, just a few miles from Marco Island, has camping, canoeing, fishing, boating, picnic grounds, and a mile-long nature walk. Narrated boat tours of the park run on a daily basis. Briggs Nature Center features a half-mile boardwalk where Marco Island visitors can observe wildlife in its natural habitat.
Dining and Nightlife in Marco Island
Visitors can choose from almost 100 restaurants and eateries, catering to casual drop-ins to white tablecloth romantic meals. Obviously, being situated on the Gulf leads to restaurants serving the freshest seafood dishes. Swordfish, grouper, yellowmouth and many more species dot the menus, so pescatarians take notice. This is your seafood heaven. The inventive dishes at Fin Bistro are unlike anything you’ve tasted before, and for more of the tried-and-true check out Lee Be Fish. For breakfast, stop in to Red Rooster or Doreen’s Cup of Joe for a coffee and an English breakfast. Craving ice cream after a long day in the sun? Make Sweet Annie’s your destination where flavors and friendliness greet you.
For the bar scene, enjoy a drink with a view at Island Gypsy Cafe & Marina Bar. Both CJ’s On The Bay and Little Bar Restaurant have that local feel and a more laid back vibe. Sip on some southern Florida craft beers at Marco Island Brewery where small batch doesn’t mean small flavors.

Unit 301 Marco Tiwers
We’ve stayed in unit 391 for 5 seasons both January and February. The unit is very clean and fully stocked. Just bring your clothes and toiletries. The landlord is very accommodating. My husband fishes the dock and catches many fish. I enjoy the pool with the other ladies. The condo has fun activities and events. You cannot find a better group of people be it owners or renters. We will be going back for 2026.
