Whichever individual you decide to to business with, make sure to ask if they have the required "Transient License" issued by the state. This will insure that the unit meets the minimum standards for vacation rentals and is in compliance with the states Health & Safety Requirements.

This is the ONLY way to insure that you are renting a Legal Vacation Rental and Do Not become a victim of internet fraud as many bogus ads are placed on many of the most popular vacation rental sites. About the owner: As a Miami resident for over 40 years, I have always enjoyed getting away to Key Largo for the fishing, boating, and relaxation that is unique to the area. Being able to share the Key Largo laid back life style with other families from all over the world has truly been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. Over the years I have been able to meet so many people and share stories with them. They all seem to have the same things in common, they all love experiencing nature and the outdoors in a way that brings them closer together as a family.

I am married to a very supportive wife Charlene and have two great kids, Sofia and Fernando Jr. They all love the outdoors just as much as dad. I am a Civil Engineer by trade, having worked for 11 years at a firm in Miami primarily in the areas of Land Development and Highway Design. In the mid 90's I began renting out my second home in Key Largo to generate extra income and as the saying goes "The rest is history". I still keep my Engineering License active (worked to hard to get it) and have since obtained my Real-estate License. I'm currently a member of the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce and I'm presently serving as President of the Kawama Yacht Club Board of Directors, Vice President of Townhouses of Kawama, Treasurer for Kawama Tower and Secretary for The Mariners Club Board of Directors.

Spacious, modern, clean villa- great location!

We just returned from an awesome Key Largo vacation- staying 7 nights at this lovely Mariner’s Club townhouse/ villa. It was our family of 4 plus a dear family friend (total of 5 people.).From my initial inquiry until check-out, Fernando was quick to respond to any questions I had. Once booked, the check-in instructions were clear and reasonable. The 24-hour security guards at Mariner’s Club were friendly & helpful.The villa/ townhouse itself was just as pictured w/ modern decor- not cluttered but ample furnishings. The layout was wonderful- really gives people the ability to spread out. It was spacious & clean- with modern appliances (the dishwasher wasn’t working when we arrived- but Fernando was already aware, had already ordered the part- which arrived & was replaced by prompt, courteous technicians during our stay.). All other appliances, etc worked perfectly. Most important of all, the beds were very comfortable.The location is ideal for a Keys vacation. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking & snorkeling at Pennekamp (highly recommend). But most of the week, my kids were working on their SCUBA certification at Rainbow Reef Dive Center (also highly recommend). We also did a couple of day trips to the middle & lower Keys. We used the binder in the villa for restaurant recommendations- and ate out at Bayside Grill and Snooks Bayside. I’ll be daydreaming about that seafood for months. But having the fully stocked villa kitchen was very helpful for preparing numerous “at home” meals.We stayed so busy on our vacation that we didn’t even check out the pool until our last day in town (pool hours were approx 9AM-8PM). The kids preferred the larger pool- and the rock/ waterfall hot tub.I don’t know when we’ll be back to the Keys but I would not hesitate to stay at this Mariner’s Club unit or another of Fernando’s units.

Mariners club

Nice place with quality amenities and great views. Would stay again but probably not this time of year with the weather.
